Hoda Muthana case: Pompeo's team says ISIS bride 'not a US citizen' as attorneys face off

Think bout that. 2019 - 3 = 2016 or earlier. So, this decision was made by the State Department while Kerry was SecDef and Obama was President. Since we all know how quickly government responds, there’s a good chance this citizenship issue was first raised while Clinton was SecDef. Either way, it predates the 2016 election, so this ought to remove all the politics from this discussion–but, it won’t, will it? If the courts declare her a citizen, she should be tried for treason and face the risk of being sentenced to death. She should be informed of this possibility before proceeding with any return.
