The people who
should be angriest with Jussie Smollet are gays and blacks. His fake hate crime
will make it that much harder to be believed about true hate crimes. You’d
think he was a secret agent for the Klan.
Every member
of Congress should be required to watch a partial-birth abortion. And to
smother the baby if it survives the abortion.
Trump was mad
at Mueller and now the Democrats are mad at Mueller. Makes me think the Marine
must have done something right.
Only the strong can be kind. Which is why there is so much
unkindness in the world.
I’m not saying I’m old, but dirt calls me “Sir!”
I am always surprised when people take seriously satire that
I publish on my blog, even though I label it satire. Maybe it should be,
“placebo news.”
Recipes that call for ¼ teaspoon of salt taste fine without
it.
The difference between political tribes in America and
political tribes in, say, Somalia is that American aren’t killing each other
over politics. Yet. Mostly. We have always had some political violence: an
anarchist assassinated McKinley, a communist assassinated JFK, a Palestinian
assassinated RFK, and James Hodgkinson, a left-wing
activist, did his best to assassinate Republican members of Congress.
It seems a majority of people think that if they want
something to be true badly enough, that makes it true.
Whoever wins the presidency in 2020, I promise you that at
the next SOTU speech, the president’s party will cheer wildly while the other
party will, at best, sit silently.
The news has become entertainment and, as with all
entertainment, is more entertaining if you “enhance” the facts. Or just make
them up as Hollywood does with history.
We are urged to pray for our enemies and I do. I pray they
will get what they deserve. Then if I’m wrong about them, God will deal with
them justly.
Do you know if they block
Internet porn sites where I work? Asking for a friend.
White Supremacism is odious. Every bit as odious as Black,
Hispanic or Muslim Supremacism. Or any other that puts tribe and group over the
individual.

Under capitalism, a few get very rich building companies that
supply services and products people want, like Microsoft and Facebook. Under
socialism, a few government oligarchs get very rich off the work of the people,
who must do whatever the state decides in good for the people, who live in
poverty. Free markets depend on the individual decisions of free people. Every
other system depends on oppression and coercion, and leads to grinding poverty
for all but a few.
I think the military classifies as secret so many thousands
of documents so the spies will be confused about what’s really valuable.
Dane County, WI government is a sheltered workshop for
progressives.
They say you can’t judge a book by its cover. But if a guy
looks like a weasel…
Some people are punching bags for their own stupidity.
Watching today’s media is like reading a novel. It requires
the “Willing suspension of disbelief.”
Trump and Bernie have the same problem in 2020. No Hillary to
run against.
I’m so old, I remember when mail was delivered twice a day to
my grandmother’s house in the 1950. When both the doctor and the Fuller Brush
man came to the house. When the phone was black and attached to the wall.
Facebook meme: “Be careful what you will tolerate. You are
teaching people how to treat you.”
If you worked hard all your life and were successful, thus
have a bit of wealth, you will find there are people who think they are
entitled to what you earned. They may be family, friends, strangers, or
politicians, but they will be attempting to put their hands into your pocket.
I’m so old, I remember when Democrats like Harry Reid, Chuck
Schumer, Nancy Pelosi and the Clintons were opposed to illegal immigration.
Okay, it wasn’t really that long ago.

My weight and my social life
both have the same problem. I can’t keep my mouth shut.
Government websites are
complex beyond usability because the bureaucrats that order them aren’t
spending their own money. They can tell the web designers, “Give us everything
you think we should have,” with no consequences to themselves.
If Marine
Corps Boot Camp doesn’t change you, you’re not worth changing.
You should
rid your life of toxic people. But sometimes you can’t because of family,
propinquity or employment. They you just manage it as best you can, being often
frustrated and angry. Sigh.
There is
no such ting as “public radio” or “public TV.” They are government radio and government
TV. And like the private outlets, their agenda is designed to please the folks who
deliver the dollars.
It’s a
real laugh how shocked, shocked I say, the Hollywood enablers are to discover
Michael Jackson was a pedophile. He was black, a star and thought the right
way, so they turned blind eyes to what we normal people knew for years.
I just
read that a one-bedroom in San Francisco now rents for an average of $3,690 a
month. You see how rent control and green spaces to limit new construction of
housing helps the poor?
Since the
Green New Deal calls for every building in America to be rebuilt, rich
progressives like Al Gore, Nancy Pelosi, Barack Obama, Bill Gates, Warren
Buffett, Tom Steyer, the Clintons, and others could set a great example by
starting with their mansions and businesses.
If a boat
springs a leak, they say it’s taking on water. If a spaceship springs a leak,
will they say it’s taking on vacuum?

If you are a prostitute, what do
you do on “Take your daughter to work” day?
There is a difference between being
a nice person, a competent person, an experienced person, an intelligent person,
and so on. And an attractive person. Some cover several categories. But being
attractive without anything else is a recipe for failure. Remember when hiring.
Writing notes to yourself doesn’t
work when you can’t read them the next day. Sigh.
Our garage door started working
only occasionally. Real PITA on cold days. We discovered it was because we put
LED bulbs in the opener lights. You have been warned.

Young people thinking about getting
tattoos should look at old people with tattoos.
In the next war, every member of
Congress who isn’t a combat veteran should be embedded with a combat unit for a
month. And everyone should have to ride along with the police on a night shift
in a bad neighborhood every three months.
It doesn’t matter if you’re a
skinhead or KKK thug or an Antifa or BLM thug. You are still a thug.
In 30 years, they’ll be having
Christian hunts in progressive areas, like the rat hunts of the middle ages.
For war, wealth, women, or weather,
most people prepare for the expected. Alas, the unexpected happens with
catastrophic regularity.
If racism did not exist, the
Democrats would have to establish a group like BLM to create it. Otherwise,
blacks might see themselves as the competent and strong people they are, rather
than as victims needing the Democrats to protect, and infantilize them.
I wish the media would give half
the coverage to churches shot up by Muslims as they giver to a mosque shot up
by an asshole who described his views as “When I was young I was a communist, then an anarchist and
finally a libertarian before coming to be an eco-fascist.”
It doesn’t matter if you are on the
left or the right. If you see any politician as a saint, you are dangerously
naïve.
Imagine if FDR, JFK or Harry Truman
were running for president today. The savaging they would get from progressives
would be beyond their ability to believe.
If racism didn’t exist, the
progressive would have to develop a group like BLM to create it. Otherwise, people
of color might start to see themselves as competent, fully developed humans,
rather than as victims dependent of the Democrats for substance and crumbs.
In general, the differences between
the old National Socialists and today’s “Democratic Socialists” are too small
to matter. Both believe in all-powerful government able to coerce individuals
to do what they think are best for everybody. Both wish to outlaw any criticism
of them. Both believe that anyone who doesn’t support the party is sub-human.
Both see Christianity as an obstacle to their power which must be destroyed.
Both think only the government and the elites should have guns. Both demonize
the “other” as enemies of the state. And both hold large numbers of people
enthralled. (For the National Socialists, this should read in the past tense.
Mostly. Thanks to young men with guns.)
If you “kill time,” you are killing
your life. If you spend time wisely, you are expanding the richness of your
life.
If you have good comm, don’t screw
around with the radio.

It seems that the modern definition of
"Diversity" is people of several races, religions, and sexual
orientations who all agree with the liberal point of view. There is no room for
diversity of opinion. –Todd

If government is your god, as it is for
many progressives, that people who commit blasphemy by failing to worship your
god as you think fitting must be punished however you can. Similar to the
Muslims killing anyone who has committed blasphemy in their eyes.
You know the car signs that say, “Baby
on Board”? I want one that says “Baby on Roof.” Then I could get a cheap car
seat and a doll and strap it to the roof, just for laughs.
