Heavenly gender-neutral God,

In the midst of this awful COVID pandemic, caused by Donald Trump, please keep the abortion clinics open so thousands of babies will come directly to you and not be born in a world full of evil, racist Republicans.

Please ensure that the Kennedy Center and PBS have plenty of money, even if poor people go hungry, because they support our party.

Thank you for the munificent pay raise we in Congress are about to receive. Thou knowest how hard we work to do well good.

Keep the media in our pockets, so we can be sure that our message, and not that of ugly conservatives, reaches the great unwashed, ignorant voters.

Keep our borders open, that many more undocumented workers may come here no questions asked to partake of our benefits and to vote for Democrats. Make this a sanctuary country.

Allow our supporters to vote as often as they wish.

And Lord, stop pictures of the homeless in my district from being spread around the Internet, for it does great harm to our agenda.

I ask this in the name of keeping our majority in the House.
