Former Political Prisoner Chen Guangcheng: Trump Has the Right Idea on China
It's never been complicated. The communists leading China are corrupt and power hungry, and have zero scruples about anything. To help advance a huge nation with huge problems and technologic disadvantages they embarked on massive industrial espionage and theft of intellectual property as soon as Nixon's plane took off, kept the yuan artificially low, and got their hands in every bit of Western technology they could by any and all means to improve their own situation. They've been at economic war with us for all these years, with our leaders either too stupid or too unwilling to notice it. It's paid off handsomely for them, they've made great progress that they never could have otherwise, and now in their arrogance and drive for power, they are pushing to take over domination of all of Asia and bring heavy influence to bear even further. Telling them the free ride is over has been overdue since Clinton was in the White House, and finally Trump is doing it. I'm not sure this is the best, most effective way to go at it, but it's better than just letting things roll on. Let's hope in the end the pressure gets to high that they decide in Beijing that maybe it's time to accept the new normal and back off on some of their crap. But I'll be they will stall and stall, hoping Trump loses in 2020, and some spineless idiot will take over and kowtow to them again. --Del
