A LOT of not-to-be-missed political news

General News and Comment

GOP adds another Senate seat as Sullivan wins Alaska
Excerpt: Republican candidate Dan Sullivan defeated Democratic incumbent Sen. Mark Begich in Alaska’s U.S. Senate race Wednesday. The win gives the GOP eight Senate pickups in the midterm elections. The party is also seeking a ninth seat in Louisiana’s runoff in December. (I thought his lead would hold. Think the GOP will win LA, making it nine. And so close in NH and VA. ~Bob)

Worth Reading: When Republicans Win, Politics Are 'Dysfunctional.' By Dennis Prager
Excerpt: The latest shaping of truth is almost funny because the left's claims are so transparently self-serving. Since last Tuesday's elections, commentator after commentator on the left has declared American politics "dysfunctional." When Democrats win by a landslide, the left regards the vote as testimony to the great message of the left and the good sense of the American people. Only when Republicans win by a landslide does the vote reflect dysfunction.

What Happened? By Thomas Sowell
Excerpt: he most important thing that happened last week was that the country dodged a bullet. Had the Democrats retained control of the Senate, President Obama could have spent his last two years in office loading the federal judiciary with judges who share his contempt for the Constitution of the United States.

Obama Wants to Reclassify the Internet as a Utility
Excerpt: In a recent speech, President Obama laid out his plan for protecting the freedom of the internet. It involved reclassifying the internet as a utility. (Utilities are, of course, heavily taxed. Look at your bills. ~Bob)

Obama seeks government control of internet
Excerpt: Remember all this when Obama says “If you like your internet, you can keep your internet. If you like your current provider and plan, no one will take that away from you no matter what.” Imagine Michelle Obama telling you where you can go and what you can say on the internet. And never, ever forget that Barack Obama is, above all, a liar.

The knives are out for Valerie Jarrett, the close adviser who 'gets' Obama. Top White House aide assailed by ‘legion of detractors’ faces old maxim: somebody’s got to take the blame other than the president
Excerpt: Last week Obama made history for losing the most House seats in midterm elections since Truman. This week, a bumper crop of anonymous sources has emerged to talk about how the president is being hurt not only by his own bad decisions, but by the terrible advice of his closest advisers. At the top of the list is The One Who Gets Obama: Valerie Jarrett.

Firing Offense? Valerie Jarrett is now scapegoat-in-chief. By Howard Kurtz
Excerpt: The media have identified the problem with the Obama presidency and want her tarred and feathered. Or just fired. Or sidelined. Or made an ambassador to some faraway land. Her name is Valerie Jarrett.

Scientists discover 'stupid virus'
Excerpt: Scientists in the U.S. discovered a virus that actually makes people more stupid. It's called ATCV-1 and was initially only known to appear in algae, but now researchers believe the virus may be transferred to humans through DNA. (Who would've--or even could've--believed this: There really IS a stupid virus. --Ron P. Already seeing jokes from both sides of the political divide, claiming it explains the opposition. ~Bob)

NYC to stop many small-time pot arrests, to issue summonses and violations instead
Excerpt: Thousands of people carrying small amounts of marijuana may no longer be arrested or face criminal charges, city officials announced Monday, marking a significant shift in how the nation's biggest city approaches policing pot. Instead of being arrested on misdemeanor charges that carry potential punishments of up to three months in jail, many people will get court summonses and face non-criminal violations punishable by fines starting at $100, Mayor Bill de Blasio and Police Commissioner William Bratton said. (Think title should be "NYC Really Goes to Pot." --Barb)

The Devil’s Bargain: The Illusion of a Trouble-Free Existence in the American Police State
Excerpt: Whether the mask is labeled fascism, democracy, or dictatorship of the proletariat, our great adversary remains the apparatus—the bureaucracy, the police, the military. Not the one facing us across the frontier of the battle lines, which is not so much our enemy as our brothers’ enemy, but the one that calls itself our protector and makes us its slaves. No matter what the circumstances, the worst betrayal will always be to subordinate ourselves to this apparatus and to trample underfoot, in its service, all human values in ourselves and in others.—Simone Weil, French philosopher and political activist ...It’s no coincidence that during the same week in which the U.S. Supreme Court heard arguments in Yates v. United States, a case in which a Florida fisherman is being threatened with 20 years’ jail time for throwing fish that were too small back into the water, Florida police arrested a 90-year-old man twice for violating an ordinance that prohibits feeding the homeless in public.

Journalist Releases “The Obama Soundbite” the Media Has Been Hiding for Years
Excerpt: But, truth be told, Obama knew “very soon,” as in right away, that Benghazi was indeed a terrorist attack. He even said as much to the Libyan government the day after the attack but persisted in lying to the American people about Benghazi, even to this day.

Veteran’s Day – On behalf of a grateful nation…but are we?
Excerpt: "On behalf of a grateful nation." But are we a grateful nation? While it is affirming to see the NFL start ballgames with dedications to our men and women in the military this weekend, does it translate across our daily experiences? Does the average citizen, or more importantly the average school-aged child understand the significance of this holiday, or the walking embodiments - men and women in uniform - of that tradition?

Veterans are voting Republican. And that’s not likely to change. By Scott Clement
Excerpt: Military veterans voted for Republicans by a 20 percentage-point margin over Democrats in House races last week, according to the national network exit poll. Veterans made up 17 percent of all voters this year, and their strong preference for Republicans should come as no surprise -- Mitt Romney won veterans by 20 points in 2012 according to the American National Election Studies post-election survey (the exit poll did not ask veteran status that year).

School Tells Kids: Stop Praying to Jesus, Singing Amazing Grace
Excerpt: Christian students at a Colorado public high school were told they could no longer meet to pray, sing religious songs or discuss religious topics during free time – because such activity violated the U.S. Constitution a lawsuit filed in federal court alleges. (Apparently they haven't read or do not understand the Constitution. --JB. funny that public schools can have foot baths and places to pray for Muslims...~Bob)

Ted Cruz calls net neutrality 'Obamacare for the Internet'
Excerpt: President Obama has voiced his support for strict net neutrality regulations, but Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, is not pleased. In a statement released Monday, Obama expressed concern that broadband providers would turn into “gatekeepers” of online access and said the Internet should be reclassified as a utility under Title II of the Telecommunications Act. (Gov't speak meaning "back room" suppression of conservative news providers in favor of those more liberal. --JB)

Only seven of the 30 Democrats from the 2006 wave will be back next year. By Philip Bump
Excerpt: In 2006, after being in the minority for a decade, Democrats re-took the House. Democratic candidates won 30 seats that had been held by the opposition in the previous contest. As of January 2015, only seven of those 30 Democrats will still be in the U.S. House of Representatives.

EU 'benefit tourism' court ruling is common sense, says Cameron
Excerpt: A European Court of Justice ruling backing Germany's attempts to restrict unemployed migrants' rights to welfare has been welcomed by David Cameron. The UK prime minister said the decision on so-called "benefit tourism", which could set a precedent for other EU nations, was "simple common sense". It could allow the UK to exclude some EU migrants from specific benefits.

Once a Year at 11:11 am the Sun Shines Perfectly on this Memorial
Excerpt: At precisely 11:11 a.m. each Veterans Day (Nov. 11), the sun’s rays pass through the ellipses of the five Armed Services pillars to form a perfect solar spotlight over a mosaic of The Great Seal of the United States. (Something that I never knew, or if I did I had forgotten. MasterGuns)

Two More States Eye Repeal of Common Core. By Kelsey Harkness
Excerpt: On the heels of Republican victories last week, attempts to replace Common Core with homegrown standards are resurfacing in states across the nation. Most prominently, elected officials in Wisconsin and Ohio are spearheading efforts to reclaim more control of education.

Texas Rangers beat Navy SEAL impersonator at his own game with fake award
Excerpt: An elaborate law enforcement sting operation has led to the arrest of a 29-year-old man who was parading around North Texas as a Navy SEAL. Carlos Felipe Luna-Gonzalez is charged with falsely representing himself as an active-duty Navy SEAL and for accepting an award as a result of his fictitious service. (Huh. I guess I better not wear that "V" on my Good Conduct Medal in Texas...~Bob)

From Hardee’s to the U.S. Senate Chamber: Great Women Never Forget their Roots. By Bristol Palin
Excerpt: Last week, Joni Ernst (who my mom endorsed, by the way!) won her race to be a U.S. Senator for the state of Iowa. She’ll be the first woman to represent her state in Congress! I loved this line from her acceptance speech:
It’s a long way from Red Oak to Washington, from the biscuit line at Hardee’s to the United States Senate.

Maine Just Changed Their Food-Stamp Policy… Every State Should Do This
Excerpt: The state of Maine is requiring able-bodied adults who are capable of working to do so in order to qualify for food stamps. Citing the recession, President Barack Obama issued a waiver of the federal work requirement in 2010 and — despite continued claims from Democrats that the economy is humming along — has not lifted it. Republican Gov. Paul R. LePage, who won re-election handily on Tuesday, allowed the waiver for his state to expire.

ICYMI: Ohio Democrats Suffered Their Worst Gubernatorial Defeat In 188 Years. By Matt Vespa
Excerpt: Back in June, Cosmopolitan’s feminist senior political writer Jill Filipovic lamented how purple Ohio has passed some of the most restrictive abortion laws in the country. One of those bills signed into law by Ohio Republican Gov. John Kasich banned abortions after 20 weeks in 2011; a bill so controversial that it’s supported by a majority of Americans pretty much across the board, including 60 percent of women. Yet, here’s the best part: "Kasich is running for reelection this November, and abortion may be a key issue in his race against Democrat Edward FitzGerald."

Worship the Veterans Day. By Laurence M. Vance
Excerpt: Of the government’s official military appreciation days, Veterans Day is the worst.
Veterans Day has now become a day to honor, not just those who have served in the military during wartime, but also those who have served during peacetime or are serving now. Veterans Day has become a day to recognize all things military. Veterans Day is now wholly given over to praising soldiers, flattering veterans, repeating ridiculous slogans and poems about the military, and heaping glory, laud, and honor ad nauseam on the troops. ... My “hate speech“ (as others will describe this article) is directed toward those chickenhawks, armchair warriors, reich-wing nationalists, red-state fascists, religious rightists, bloodthirsty conservatives, theocons, warvangelicals, God and country bumpkins, Values Voters, American exceptionalists, and pro-lifers for mass murder who worship veterans. ("Yes, makin' mock o' uniforms that guard you while you sleep, Is cheaper than them uniforms, an' they're starvation cheap; An' hustlin' drunken soldiers when they're goin' large a bit, Is five times better business than paradin' in full kit. Then it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "Tommy, 'ow's yer soul?" But it's "Thin red line of 'eroes" when the drums begin to roll, The drums begin to roll, my boys, the drums begin to roll, O it's "Thin red line of 'eroes" when the drums begin to roll." from "Tommy," Kipling's tribute to the British soldier. ~Bob)

The 10 states that could decide the next Senate: The Republican map may not look so bad after all. By James Hohmann. Politico
Excerpt: The Senate map for 2016 might not be as bad for Republicans as it looks. The GOP has a bigger cushion than expected for its new majority, probably 54 seats. More veteran senators may stick around to preserve safe seats. And some vulnerable incumbents will have committee chairmanships that could pump up their profiles. Story Continued Below Even though conventional wisdom suggests this may be a short-lived Republican majority, interviews with nearly two dozen operatives in Washington and 2016 battleground states reveal a more nuanced picture of the next Senate landscape.

Why Wall Street Loves Hillary: She's trying to sound populist, but the banks are ready to shower her campaign with cash. By William D. Cohan, Politico
Excerpt: An odd thing happened last month when, stumping just before the midterms, Hillary Clinton came in close proximity to the woman who has sometimes been described as the conscience of the Democratic Party. Speaking at the Park Plaza Hotel in Boston as she did her part to try to rescue the failing gubernatorial campaign of Martha Coakley in Massachusetts, Clinton paid deference to Senator Elizabeth Warren, the anti-Wall Street firebrand who has accused Clinton of pandering to the big banks, and who was sitting right there listening. “I love watching Elizabeth give it to those who deserve it,” Clinton said to cheers.

School cancels Operation Christmas Child over lawsuit threats. By Todd Starnes
Excerpt: A South Carolina charter school has canceled its annual Christmas toy drive after a group of self-described humanists complained that the project violated the U.S. Constitution and accused them of bribing children to convert to Christianity.

New England coastal communities threatened by feds' ban on cod fishing
Excerpt: Federal regulators slapped a six-month ban on most cod fishing off New England this week and are threatening to cut next year’s catch by up to 75 percent, in a move some say will destroy the livelihoods of fishermen across the region.

Russian defense ministry says bomber patrols will reach Gulf of Mexico
Excerpt: He said Russian long-range bombers will conduct flights along Russian borders and over the Arctic Ocean. He added that "in the current situation we have to maintain military presence in the western Atlantic and eastern Pacific, as well as the Caribbean and the Gulf of Mexico." He said that the increasing pace and duration of flights would require stronger maintenance efforts and relevant directives have been issued to industries. Russian nuclear-capable strategic bombers were making regular patrols across the Atlantic and the Pacific Oceans during Cold War times, but the post-Soviet money crunch forced the military to cut back.

Obama’s AG nominee has seized $904 million in private property through “civil asset forfeiture”
Excerpt: Obama is trying to rush the confirmation of his new Attorney General through the Senate before the newly elected Republican majority takes over. But there are plenty of reasons why Senators on both sides of the aisle should have great pause before approving Loretta Lynch. In recent months, much has been written about the concept of "civil asset forfeiture," in which police routinely steal billions of dollars worth of private property without even so much as criminal charges. As it turns out, Loretta Lynch is all for it, and her US attorney’s office has benefited from it to the tune of nearly a BILLION dollars

Ivy League Students ask Disgusting Questions of Rick Perry
Excerpt: Governor Rick Perry (R-TX) recently visited Dartmouth College to answer student questions about the results of the 2014 midterm elections. Instead of a thoughtful and well reasoned list of questions for the Governor, these Ivy League geniuses chose to ask things like…

New court decision could end California's restrictions on conceal-carry permits
Excerpt: Law-abiding Californians may not need to justify their need to carry concealed weapons, after the same three-judge panel that struck down restrictions on the permits earlier this year ruled Wednesday that it is too late for new opponents to join the fight against the ruling.

FBI Report Confirms Crime Fell While Gun Purchases Soared In 2013
Excerpt: As gun sales soared in 2013--with the number of background checks for gun sales breaking records--the FBI reports that violent crime fell sharply below 2012 figures, and property crime rates fell sharply too. On January 6, Breitbart News reported there were 21,093,273 background checks for firearm purchasers conducted in America in 2013. And while this number of background checks represented a record, we explained then that the number of guns sold could be many times higher.

Gun Sales In Ferguson Skyrocket As Grand Jury Decision Draws Near
Excerpt: At a gun shop near Ferguson, Missouri, the manager told CNN that sales of firearms for personal protection have increased nearly 50 percent. As stores in Ferguson and nearby areas board up their fronts in fear of riots that could be sparked in the coming days of a potential grand jury decision, residents appear to be taking up arms.

School Cancels Veteran’s Day Ceremony… Because of 21-Gun Salute
Excerpt: Yesterday America honored its men and women in uniform for their bravery and sacrifice, unless that is, you live in Wisconsin’s Eau Claire School District where celebrating our liberties and freedoms should only be done when it’s convenient and politically correct. According to The Week the school district has cancelled its Veteran’s Day program because the

DC Police Employee on Concealed Carry: "The Second Amendment Was Written For When The British Were Coming." By Katie Pavlich
Excerpt: Back in July the Washington D.C. ban on concealed and open carry of handguns was struck down by U.S. District Judge Frederick Scullin as unconstitutional. As a result, the DC City Council reluctantly voted to approve concealed carry, giving the power of writing the rules and regulations to the Washington D.C. police. Now, those rules have been written and they're impossible to follow. (The thugs are coming! The thugs are coming! (Not to mention the statists.) ~Bob)

Border Patrol agents say agency’s gun recall puts them in danger
Excerpt: Border Patrol officials have pulled thousands of rifles from field agents in a large-scale effort to refurbish the weaponry, prompting the rank-and-file to complain that they've been left with the dangerous options of sharing guns or being disarmed altogether. Nearly one-third of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection's 16,300 M4 carbine rifles were tested by the agency's office of training and development, which determined that more than 2,000 had the potential for malfunction. The rate of nearly 40 percent was "more than we are comfortable with,” said CBP Deputy Chief Ron Vitiello. "Our top priority is to make sure our agents are safe,” said Vitiello, adding that the agency intends to eventually cycle through all of the rifles to ensure that those in need of repair are fixed. (Can you imagine a 1960s western, with the good guys holed up and the bad guys on the high ground surrounding them, pinning them in and firing nonstop and the good guy saying, "Here, I've taken my shot," and flipping the gun to his buddy who grabs it in midair and shoots it once and then says, "Your turn" and flips the gun back to the other one. We would have fallen off our folding stools laughing ourselves silly. But such is the Obama decree. Total bureaucratic stupidity or--more menacing--designed to allow illegals across the border with largesse and no fear of hindrance from "police." Bet the cartels aren't doing this to their members....Barb)

Video: Ohio burglar tries robbing two homes, both with armed occupants
Excerpt: NRA-ILA finds an interesting story from Ohio, where a would-be burglar wound up having a simply awful run of bad luck. Michael Roberts, 26, wielding a knife, attempted to break in to a private home through a basement window, but things didn’t go as planned.

Ebola and Enterovirus News

Kaiser Nurses in California Plan to Strike Over Ebola. By Janet Lorin
Excerpt: Some 18,000 nurses in Northern California are planning a two-day strike starting Nov. 11, partly over equipment and training standards for the Ebola virus. ... The union said in a Nov. 6 statement that Kaiser “continued to stonewall on dozens of proposals to improve patient care standards, as well as refusing to address the concern of Kaiser RNs about Ebola safety protocols and protective equipment, refusing to even answer questions by the RNs.”

It Appears Obama Has Flown an Illegal Immigrant African Ebola Victim To USA From Gran Canaria
Excerpt: EbolaAir Aircraft N173PA appears to have picked up an Ebola Infected Illegal African Immigrant from the island of Gran Canaria and flown him/her to the USA for treatment.... Based on the evacuation flight path / schedule and the number of times it disappeared and partially reappeared on the tracking software today, our presumption is that this flight is carrying one of the 1st foreign Ebola patients in support of Obama's policy to import foreign Ebola victims into the USA. Given the importance of Gran Canaria to US operations, such an evacuation would make geo-political sense especially since Spain's Catalan region is seeking independence.

Race Card News

Important: Educational Fraud. By Walter E. Williams
Excerpt: A UNC learning specialist hired to help athletes found that during the years 2004 to 2012, 60 percent of 183 members of the football and basketball teams read between fourth- and eighth-grade levels. Eight to 10 percent read below a third-grade level. These were black high-school graduates, and their high-school diplomas were clearly fraudulent. How cruel is it for UNC to admit students who have little chance of academically competing on the same basis as its other students? Black students so ill-equipped run the risk of ridicule and reinforcing white stereotypes of black mental incompetence. If these students are to retain their athletic eligibility or minimum GPA requirements, universities must engage in academic fraud. (Progressives believe that it's racist to expect black students to do minimum college-level work in order to get a college degree. ~Bob)

Worth Reading: Democrat Racists
Excerpt: Bob Woodward, the Washington Post journalist who broke the Watergate story, was on Face The Nation last Sunday. What he said about Barack Hussein Obama was quite surprising; he said Democrats, even before the election, have been disgusted by Obama's extreme arrogance and refusal to listen to anyone except his own counsel. Woodward says he's talked to many Congressional Democrats and he says they're saying the same thing about Obama that Republicans are. Says they have the same problems dealing with "The Anointed One" as those on the other side of the aisle. Once Democrat called Obama no more than a "hologram", so shallow and weak that he's barely visible. Frustrating Democrats the most is that Obama simply lives in his own little personal world and absolutely refuses to believe that his actions have brought down his own party. Privately Democrats suggest that Obama's Executive Orders and his circumventing Congress is as disgusting to them as it has been to the Republicans. His failure to consult with Congress, his absolute refusal to come up to the Hill and try to work with Congress as poisoned the well for anything to get done.

Black Teacher Tells Whites To Kill Themselves. Goes ballistic with profanity-filled tweet
Excerpt: A black teacher in a suburb of Dallas, Texas, is out of a job after suggesting whites should “kill themselves” in a profanity-laced tweet directed at “dumb crackers” critical of her support of the racially charged protests in Ferguson, Missouri. Vinita Hegwood, who teaches English at Duncanville High School, has been placed on administrative leave without pay and will be fired at the next meeting of the school board, according to district officials. Internet bloggers were the first to seize on Hegwood’s tweet and identify her as a frequent user of social media and one of the more vocal supporters of the #Ferguson activists. (Another state might have promoted her....Barb)

Minneapolis School District Now Needs 'Permission' To Suspend Any Black, Hispanic Student
Excerpt: The Minneapolis public school system announced a major new district-wide policy for disciplining students: any suspension of a non-white student requires the district superintendent's approval. The MPS has been stung by reports that students of color are 10 times more likely to receive a suspension than white students. The Minneapolis school system has an enrollment of over 32,000 students. Seventy percent are non-white....Johnson claims that suspensions meted out to minority students were all too often based on behavior that would not have led to a suspension for a white student. (Who wants to be a teacher when the students can get away with murder because of their skin color? BLP agenda. Some are going to be more equal than others based on skin tone. But isn't the blood the same color? --Barb. In Obama's America, the government judges people by the color of their skins. ~Bob)

‘Obama justice': Ferguson ‘protesters’ put bounty on Darren Wilson, give cops list of demands. By J.E. Dyer
http://libertyunyielding.com/2014/11/10/obama-justice-ferguson-protesters-put-bounty-darren-wilson-give-cops-list-demands/
Excerpt: To begin with, on Thursday (6 November), notorious thug-“protester” Bassem Masri tweeted that the U.S. Justice Department had contacted him the day before to invite him to a meeting on “police reform.” In his words, they wanted to hear his ideas.
Jim Hoft (Gateway Pundit) notes that Masri is a “criminal cop-hater and Hamas supporter,” which does pretty much sum the guy up if you follow through with the most cursory search on him. ... The “protesters” showed their hand on Sunday when a group calling itself RbG Black Rebels announced a $5,000 bounty on Darren Wilson (and $1,000 bounty on any of his family members). The bounties are offered for “finding” Wilson or a family member.

Obamacare/Government Healthcare News

Excerpt: The U.S. Supreme Court has agreed to hear King v. Burwell, an important case about Obamacare’s subsidies (tax credits) to health insurers. Plaintiffs argue that in the 36 states with federal Obamacare exchanges, subsidies cannot be paid legally. If no tax credits can be paid, neither the individual mandate to buy health insurance nor the employer mandate to offer insurance can be enforced. Few people would voluntarily buy health insurance from an Obamacare exchange if the health insurers on the exchanges did not receive subsidies to enroll people. The premiums would be too high otherwise. Experts expect that the Supreme Court might decide on King v. Burwell in July, in which case Obamacare will end with a bang.

Interesting: Rubio, Ryan Prepare Obamacare Alternative
Excerpt: Florida GOP Sen. Marco Rubio has teamed up with Wisconsin GOP Rep. Paul Ryan to develop a conservative alternative to Obamacare, as congressional Republicans renewed their commitment to repealing the president's signature healthcare law. "I've been working on [an alternative] with Paul Ryan that we hope to introduce soon," Rubio said recently during an interview on a Denver radio station. "We want to have every American to be able to buy the kind of health insurance they want at a price that they are willing to buy and from any company in America that will sell it to you. And you should be able to buy it with either tax credit or pre-tax dollars, just like your employer pays for it if they decide to give it to you. And that's a lot better than the disaster we have right now." (Won't this be interesting? They will have the advantage of seeing what in ObamaCare is worth copying, and what really needs to be avoided. That should make it possible to come up with something simpler, better, less of a monster bureaucracy. --Del. Rep. Tom Price, MD, has offered a good alternative for years, ignored by the media who claim the GOP has no alternative. ~Bob)

Five new obstacles for ObamaCare. By Elise Viebeck, The Hill
Excerpt: The Obama administration is easing expectations ahead of ObamaCare’s critical second-year enrollment period. More than a year after HealthCare.Gov’s problems plunged the administration into crisis, the administration faces a very different set of challenges in expanding the healthcare law’s rolls.

This “Hunger Games” Billboard Slamming Obamacare Is Going Viral [PICTURE]

You supported Obama. He knew you were stupid. He counted on you being stupid. He was right.
Excerpt: How does it feel knowing that Obama counted on you being stupid and that you came through? Over at The Hill Elise Viebeck characterizes it this way: “The clip is generating significant attention in conservative media.” No shit. The question is, why isn’t all of the media interested in this?

Obamacare consultant under fire for ‘stupidity of the American voter’ comment. By Jose A. DelReal, Washington Post
Excerpt: "This bill was written in a tortured way to make sure CBO did not score the mandate as taxes," he said during a panel discussion at the University of Pennsylvania in October, 2013. "Lack of transparency is a huge political advantage. And basically, call it the 'stupidity of the American voter' or whatever, but basically that was really, really critical to getting the thing to pass.”

Jonathan Gruber: ObamaCare architect's elitist contempt for ordinary Americans
Excerpt: Gruber’s arrogance became public only because a conservative group, American Commitment, posted his remarks on YouTube. His words shock without surprising. ObamaCare was the largest piece of legislation ever passed on a strict party-line vote, and it marked the height of Democratic power. Two midterm elections later, Dems have lost both the House and the Senate, and ObamaCare was a prime reason. (Per report, Gruber paid $400,000 for his services including a face-to-face with Obama, who called him "A credible and unbiased source." While claiming transparency, Regime functions on "What you don't know won't hurt you until it's too late" policy throughout. This is not democracy. Many "folks" have the mindset that if it is law, it cannot be reversed. Not so. Remember Prohibition? It got undone. --Barb)

Undocumented Democrat News

Excerpt: A career attorney with top ratings at Immigration and Customs Enforcement says that she faced retaliation from superiors for refusing to drop cases pending against illegal aliens guilty of DUI, identity theft, and other crimes.

Medicare paid for drugs after patients had died, report finds
Excerpt: Call it drugs for the departed: Medicare’s prescription program kept paying for costly medications even after patients were dead. The problem was traced back to a head-scratching bureaucratic rule that’s now getting a second look. A report coming out Friday from the Health and Human Services Department’s inspector general says the Medicare rule allows payment for prescriptions filled up to 32 days after a patient’s death — at odds with the program’s basic principles, not to mention common sense.

Obama Refuses to Give Up his Dictatorship
Excerpt: Proving once again the will of the American voters means less than nothing to him, Obama almost immediately announced that his replacements-for-the-American-people-with-his-illegal-aliens plan will proceed. He is substituting the current majority and minority ethnic races in the USA—the ones who finally woke up and saw the real writing on the wall—with his unschooled illegals from Central America and beyond... In other words, the American people are still too stupid to know what they want and their “betters” (aka “Obama syndicate”) will have to force it down their throats…again.

Another Deadly Disease Invades With Illegals. 'Latin American nemesis' follows 'unaccompanied minors.'
Excerpt: Dr. Elizabeth Lee Vilet, a physician who has worked on medical projects in Central and South America since 2009, warned in an article entitled “Deadly Diseases Crossing Border with Illegal Immigrants,” published June 25, that illegal immigrants from Latin America are bringing diseases the U.S. had controlled or virtually eradicated, including TB, dengue fever, hepatitis, malaria, measles and Chagas disease. She warned, “A public health crisis, the likes of which I have not seen in my lifetime, is looming.” She pointed out that most American physicians don’t think to check for Chagas disease, because it’s so uncommon in the U.S. (Local news in my cit tonight announced a case of active TB at a local high school. Said "parents with concerns should contact the school." Like, it's too late, man. Go get a PPD and see. We had this stuff virtually wiped out except perhaps some prison populations....Welcome to the 3rd World USA, courtesy of Barry. --Barb)

Massive government cover-up? Obama border policy likely caused deadly virus epidemic. By Allen West
Excerpt: It’s becoming increasingly apparent President Barack Hussein Obama will eschew our constitutional system of separation of powers and coequal branches of government to implement immigration reform by executive order — completely unconstitutional and represents rule by edict, not governance by rule of law. This isn’t just bad policy, it’s a complete violation of policy due to abject belligerence and tyrannical rule. However, it wasn’t too long ago I posed a question — what if the Obama administration policy of allowing an influx of tens of thousands of illegal immigrants into America this summer and subsequently dispersing them was related to the mysterious respiratory illness afflicting American children — known as the Enterovirus D68 (EV-D68) – in effect a form of biological warfare?

Another ‘Eradicated Disease’ Invading U.S.
Excerpt: Dengue hemorrhagic fever has been added to the list of diseases brought by the surge of “unaccompanied minors” who have illegally entered the U.S. this year. “The big picture here is that we are getting all these diseases brought into the United States by the ‘imported disease people’ from Latin America,” Dr. Lee Hieb, past president of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons, explained to WND in an interview.

The coming climate onslaught: President Obama readies a sweeping list of executive actions. By Andrew Restuccia and Erica Martinson, Politico
Excerpt: The Obama administration is set to roll out a series of climate and pollution measures that rivals any president’s environmental actions of the past quarter-century — a reality check for Republicans who think last week’s election gave them a mandate to end what they call the White House’s “War on Coal.” Tied to court-ordered deadlines, legal mandates and international climate talks, the efforts scheduled for the next two months show that President Barack Obama is prepared to spend the remainder of his term unleashing sweeping executive actions to combat global warming. Must Read: The West's Dangerous Enchantment with Islam: Muslim Women Thrown "Under the Bus." By Uzay Bulut
Excerpt: There are no women's rights in Islam; there are no women's rights in most Muslim countries. And there is no freedom of expression in these countries; people have become virtually voiceless. ... If one is called "racist" or "Islamophobe," the answer is that these are accusations bullies always use to silence people who disagree with them. The real Islamophobes are those who degrade, abuse and kill their fellow Muslims. The worst thing any Western progressive or feminist can do in the face of the suffering caused by Islamic teachings, is to stay silent. Uzay Bulut is a Turkish journalist based in Ankara.

They have beheaded informants and killed an American in a carjacking, say Western officials familiar with intelligence reports. On Monday, Egypt’s most dangerous militant group, Ansar Beit al-Maqdis, also pledged obedience to the organization that calls itself the Islamic State, becoming its first significant international affiliate in the bet that the link will provide new money, weapons and recruits to battle the government in Cairo.

The Fallacies Of Moorish Spain. By Kort E Patterson
Excerpt: The golden age of Moorish Spain, when Muslims, Christians, and Jews lived in peaceful harmony under a Muslim Caliph, has become a favorite reference for those promoting the fiction that Islam is capable of peacefully coexisting with Western Industrial Civilization. However, it seems abundantly clear to me that it was the Caliph's well founded fear of Islam, and his aggressive efforts to protect himself from Islamic factional violence that enabled the golden age of Cordoba, not the claimed "tolerance" of Islam. The fabled golden age started in the new capital city of Cordoba when Ab-ar-Rahman 1 became Emir of Cordoba in 756. Ab-ar-Rahman's family had ruled both Damascus and Cordoba, but in 750 all but Ab-ar-Rahman were massacred in a brutal civil war between Islamist factions. Fearing for his life, Ab-ar-Rahman fled Syria for Cordoba. He established himself as Caliph of Cordoba, with his main interest being to recreate his vision of "heaven on earth".

Excerpt: In the wake of US-led air strikes on an Islamic State (IS) convoy near the Iraqi city of Mosul on Friday, media have been awash with rumours that IS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi was killed or injured. The apparent silence of IS sources on the issue could be evidence that something has happened to al-Baghdadi. But there was a similar lack of official IS denial of rumours that the group's spokesman, Abu Muhammad al-Adnani, had been killed in air strikes earlier this year - something that later turned out to be unfounded.

Worth Seeing: 5 Minutes That Will Completely Change The Way You Look at Islam Israel Palestinian conflict
Sorry. there are a few gruesome moments. Cordially, Larry Greenberg.

Excerpt: The Center for National Interest in Washington, DC, recently gave Muhammad Jaham al-Kuwari, Qatar’s ambassador to the United States, a platform to spew out Al Jazeera style propaganda, specifically in the context of Islam’s “good cop/bad cop” routine. Among other pro-Brotherhood propaganda, Qatar’s ambassador stressed the need for Washington to support what he described as “Islamic democratic parties”—naming the Muslim Brotherhood by way of example—as the best way to counter “militancy” and “terrorism.”

Senior Saudi Salafi Cleric: 'ISIS Is A True Product Of Salafism'
Excerpt: "ISIS is a true product of Salafism, and we must deal with it with full transparency." This statement was made not by liberal Muslim elements, who regularly criticize Salafism, but by Sheikh 'Aadel Al-Kalbani, former imam of the Grand Mosque in Mecca and a Salafi himself, hence its importance. Al-Kalbani is not the first Salafi to come out against ISIS – other Saudis have condemned the organization's conduct and operations – but Al-Kalbani has gone farther in his criticism: he has come out against the principles of the Salafi perception from which ISIS and its ilk draw, and has called for a rationalistic approach to Islam's distant past and what it means for Islam today instead of a blind reenactment of it.

Important: Amid Declining US Influence, China's Mideast Footprint Grows. By David P. Goldman
Excerpt: The implosion of America's geopolitical position has placed risks and opportunities at China's doorstep, to Beijing's great surprise. A year ago, Chinese officials privately reassured visitors that their country would "follow the lead of the dominant superpower" in matters relating to Middle East security, including Iran's attempts to acquire nuclear weapons. For the past several decades, China has allowed the US to look out for the Persian Gulf while it increased its dependency on Persian Gulf oil.

Israel Tries to Contain Surge in Deadly Palestinian Violence. By Yaakov Lappin
Excerpt: Deadly, unorganized Palestinian terrorism and violent disturbances fueled by ongoing incitement have surged across Israel and the Palestinian territories in recent weeks. Israel's security forces are in the midst of an extensive effort to contain the wave before it deteriorates into a full-blown "intifada."

MUSLIM MASSES: Violating Freedom Wherever They Go
Excerpt: No matter what Western country Muslims emigrate to or settle in…of this one thing you can be sure: They will violate freedom. Simply look at the places in Europe they have occupied. Muslims move into a country, refuse to assimilate and then demand…under the guise of minority status…that those in the Host country bow and accommodate their beliefs/ideology. But don’t take my word for it, here’s a past guest on my show, Elisabeth Sabaditsch-Wolff of Austria:

Important: Russia to build Iran atomic reactors at Bushehr
Excerpt: Russia has agreed to build up to eight nuclear reactors in Iran, 12 days before a deadline for a deal to curb Iran's nuclear activity. The deal agreed by Russia and Iran envisages the construction of two reactors, with scope for a further six. (I bet Putin takes Hillar's "Reset" button to every cabinet meeting for a laugh. Bu, of course, Iran could give a bomb to the Chechen Muslim Rebels. That would end things with a bang. Be just like those guys. ~Bob)
