More Clinton & Obama transparency--and other political news

Update

My friend John Payne flew in today for a VA check up. Between picking up John and Rehab this morning, the day was pretty busy. ~Bob

General News and Comment

Important: Bill Clinton’s foundation cashed in as Sweden lobbied Hillary on sanctions
Bill Clinton’s foundation set up a fundraising arm in Sweden that collected $26 million in donations at the same time that country was lobbying Hillary Rodham Clinton’s State Department to forgo sanctions that threatened its thriving business with Iran, according to interviews and documents obtained by The Washington Times. The Swedish entity, called the William J. Clinton Foundation Insamlingsstiftelse, was never disclosed to or cleared by State Department ethics officials, even though one of its largest sources of donations was a Swedish government-sanctioned lottery. As the money flowed to the foundation from Sweden, Mrs. Clinton’s team in Washington declined to blacklist any Swedish firms despite warnings from career officials at the U.S. Embassy in Stockholm that Sweden was growing its economic ties with Iran and potentially undercutting Western efforts to end Tehran’s rogue nuclear program, diplomatic cables show. The most transparent person in politics: Campaign Reporters Told There Will Be ‘NO Opportunities To Interview Hillary Clinton.’ By Chuck Ross
Excerpt: Reporters attending a Hillary Clinton speech in Houston on Thursday must remain within the confines of barricade and will not have a chance to interview the Democratic presidential nominee, they were informed in a note with big, bold red letters. “There will be NO opportunities to interview Hillary Clinton,” a press blast from Texas Southern University reads. “Her speech will be her interview.”

Former White House Aide: ‘Hillary Is a Money-Hungry Hypocrite – Looking Awfully Haggard These Days’
Excerpt: Yes, Kathleen Willey just went there. We already knew this though. Kathleen Willey, the former White House aide who claims President Bill Clinton sexually assaulted her in 1993 during his first term, now suspects the former president suffers from dementia, and calls Hillary Clinton a “money-hungry” hypocrite who looks “awfully haggard” and is the “worst role model for a wife and a mother and a politician.”

21 New ‘Clinton Cash’ Revelations That Have Imperiled Hillary Clinton’s Campaign
Excerpt: Prior to the release of the New York Times bestselling investigative exposé Clinton Cash by Government Accountability Institute President and Breitbart Senior Editor-at-Large Peter Schweizer, Hillary Clinton and her supporters claimed she was among the most vetted political figures in America—a candidate about whom everything was known. Yet as media outlets across the ideological spectrum have confirmed and verified the book’s explosive revelations about Clinton’s tenure as Sec. of State and the influx of hundreds of millions of dollars from foreign sources into the Clinton Foundation, the nation has learned much it did not know. Subsequent reporting by national news outlets has expanded on the book’s findings using its investigative methodology.

Hillary to Voters: Go to the End of the Line. By Christopher S. Carson
Excerpt: This week Hillary Clinton, when confronted by an adoring supporter for an autograph while in a receiving line in New Hampshire, haughtily instructed the woman to “go to the end of the line.” This trait of royalty hasn’t been adding to Hillary’s favorability ratings, particularly when the current trend-lines have been bad for her. According to this week’s CNN/ORC poll results, despite her overwhelming dominance amongst the Democratic primary voters, of whom 60% say they will vote for her, Hillary’s negative ratings have soared to their highest level in 15 years.

Professors created Jurassic University: Liberal Students Are Terrifying Their Own Professors. By Blake Neff
Excerpt: “Things have changed since I started teaching,” Schlosser writes. “The vibe is different. I wish there were a less blunt way to put this, but my students sometimes scare me — particularly the liberal ones.” In the past, Schlosser says, he had a limited ability to confess his own political leanings in a class discussion, and he had no worries about exposing students to challenging texts and ideas if he thought it was appropriate for the class. Today, however, the danger is very real, especially for professors who haven’t received tenure yet.

Russia: Twenty Feet From War. By Ahmed Rashid
Excerpt: For the three tiny Baltic republics of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania, the situation is particularly unnerving. Russian fighter jets based in Kaliningrad can be over Baltic airspace within minutes of takeoff, leaving hardly any time for air traffic controllers to respond. And many Russian military planes fly with their electronic transponders, which make them easy to track, switched off. With no sign of the confrontation between Russia and the West over Ukraine coming to an end, what most frightens the peoples of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania is not war by design but war by accident.

Excerpt: In the latest of many flagrant examples of how tax dollars are wasted, government-issued credit cards were used by Department of Defense (DOD) employees to make more than $4 million in personal charges, including at casinos and strip clubs. During a one-year period the agency charged 20 million transactions for $3.4 billion on government credit cards, according to a DOD Inspector General report issued this month. About $3.2 million of it was spent at casinos and nearly $1 million on personal expenses, including about $100,000 at strip clubs by 646 card holders. The casino charges were made through 4,437 transactions by 2,636 charge card holders, according to the report which breaks down expenditures by military branch.

CNN Poll: Americans Lack Faith In Obama On Illegal Immigration, ISIS, Government Surveillance
Excerpt: President Obama’s polling numbers are extremely low on hot political issues such as illegal immigration, the fight against Islamic State terrorism and government surveillance. In a CNN poll published today, only 36 percent approve of Obama’s actions on illegal immigration, 32 percent support his fight against ISIS, and 29 percent support his positions on government surveillance. Obama’s approval ratings on illegal immigration are down four points from February, as his executive actions have bogged down in the courts. ("Immigration efforts bogged down in courts." How about, found to be illegal and unconstitutional repeatedly by various courts and judges? The "folks" aren't enjoying their transformation to a Soviet-style, command economy, soon-to-be-Muslim-dominated country governed by Shari'a? Wait until the thousands of Muslim (only, not Christian) immigrants are unloaded in the West and various other communities, dumped on the "folks" to pay increased taxes and federal regulatory fees to cover increased numbers burdening the already overstressed system, packed to implosion by the Regime's seven years... or else. --Barb)

Poll: Americans Now Like George W. More Than Obama. By Cortney O'Brien
Excerpt: The inevitable has happened. Bush is seen in a favorable light by 52 percent of those surveyed, compared with 43 percent who still view the 43rd president unfavorably. Americans are split on Obama, with 49 percent responding favorably and unfavorably.

The Most Transparent Administration in History: Mainstream Media Tells House Oversight Committee to Begin Jailing Members of Obama Administration. By Steven Ahle
Excerpt: The House Oversight Committee heard from the mainstream media today and no one would have expected the things they were saying. They were loud. They were mad. They were demanding that members of the Obama administration go to jail for disobeying the law. One of the most vocal critics of the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) as defined by the Obama administration was David McCraw, the assistant general counsel of the New York Times. McCraw said that the Obama administration stalls and stalls and the only way to get them to comply with the law is to sue them, which is a waste of taxpayer's money. (Two are better than one in demonstrating how really awful the record of this Administration has been in holding back from toeing the line on a law well established and widely known, the defiance of which is essentially serious lawbreaking and a demonstration of total arrogance of power. If the Bush Administration had a record this bad, the screaming would have gone to the moon and back long, long ago, and by now there'd be demands for impeachment. Everyone should understand how bad this is, and that it's something that should offend not conservatives, but Americans. --Del)

Obama Pummeling Freedom Of Information Act
Excerpt: Reporters are renowned for swapping war stories, but they came to Capitol Hill on Tuesday to tell horror stories about trying to use Freedom of Information Act, or FOIA, requests to get the truth from the federal government. Testifying before the House Oversight Committee, five-time Emmy award-winning investigative reporter Sharyl Attkisson described receiving FOIAs with everything redacted (blacked out) but the address line.

Interesting, headline oversells: ‘Cure For Terminal Cancer’ Discovered In Israel With Breakthrough Immunotherapy By Einat Paz-Frankel
Excerpt: Clinical trials of a new drug cocktail have been shown to cure 58 percent of terminally-ill patients by shrinking cancerous tumors or eliminating them altogether. The scientific community is hailing this discovery as a major breakthrough in cancer research. The new cocktail is a form of immunotherapy, a relatively new class of drugs that harness the body’s immune system to extinguish fatal tumors. Israeli researcher Prof. Jacob Schachter, who took part in the development of the drug and in the recent clinical trials, told Israel’s Channel 10 that the newfound drug cocktail could serve as the basis of treatment for many types of cancer, potentially replacing chemotherapy. “It’s an explosion,” he said. (Comment on the article: In corresponding news, Palestinians have discovered that if you strap explosives onto mentally retarded children and send them into Jewish pizzerias, the Congress of the United States will give you $1 billion annually. Israel is the epicenter of human technological evolution. The Muslims invent new ways to gang rape six year old infidels. This is the most obvious morality play ever, so naturally the world sides with the bad guys.)

Watch NASA Test Its Flying Saucer Live On Thursday
Excerpt: NASA is offering the world the opportunity to the watch the launch and test flight of its latest prototype vehicle on Thursday – a flying saucer. The space agency is hoping to test its Low Density Supersonic Decelerator (LDSD) project, weather permitting, at 1:30 p.m. EDT (10:30 a.m. PDT/7:30 a.m. HST), when the craft will be carried aloft by a large weather balloon. The test was originally scheduled for Tuesday and then for today, but was postponed both times due to “unfavourable conditions”.

South Carolina man arrested after dog found with muzzle taped shut
Excerpt: South Carolina police arrested a man Monday night after a stray dog was found with electrical tape around its muzzle last week....Caitlyn, a 15-month old Staffordshire mix and well-known stray in her North Charleston neighborhood, showed up at a home with her mouth tightly bound shut. Animal Society veterinarian Lucy Fuller initially said the dog was in critical condition because the tape cut off blood flow to her tongue. (Let's see...would it be justice to tape HIS mouth shut or better, yet, tape his arsehole shut? --Barb)

Excerpt: A special internal committee was set up by senior IRS officials after information requests from Congress and “other investigative bodies” asking the IRS to investigate conservative and Tea Party non-profit applicants were sent to the federal tax agency’s two Obama White House political appointees. Mary Howard, the IRS’s director of privacy, governmental liaison and disclosure division, told the House Committee on Oversight and Government reform Wednesday that she never saw any of the information requests because the requests were forwarded to the special committee. Howard is also the tax agency’s chief Freedom of Information Act officer. “I think Lois Lerner was just the tip of the iceberg,” Howard said.

Former RI Gov. Lincoln Chafee, one-time Republican, declares 2016 Democratic candidacy
Excerpt: Former Rhode Island Gov. Lincoln Chafee entered the 2016 presidential race Wednesday as a Democrat, casting himself as an anti-war candidate who opposed the invasion of Iraq back when challenger Hillary Clinton supported it. "We must deliberately and carefully extricate ourselves from expensive wars," Chafee told a half-full law school classroom at George Mason University in northern Virginia. "We need to be very smart in these voluble times overseas." Chafee, a one-time Republican so moderate — and some say so opportunistic — officially left the GOP in 2007 and was later elected governor of Rhode Island as an Independent. (Chafee's father John, was a moderate Republican and a heroic Marine Company Commander in Korea. Link is not made of the same stuff. ~Bob)

Excerpt: A CNN panel on Caitlyn Jenner got pretty heated tonight after Crystal Wright said she wasn’t impressed with Jenner’s publicity-heavy gender transition. Transgender reporter Zoey Tur wasn’t impressed with how Jenner’s transition looks like the “rollout of a product,” but Wright went a lot further, saying, “Bruce Jenner is doing this from Bruce Jenner… I don’t think it’s good for the transgender community.” “What’s next?” she asked. “Black people, we’re going to all of a sudden start bleaching our skin because we don’t like being black?” (I've basically ignored the Bruce/Catlin Jenner thing, and think the media should too. I have no interest and what he/she does is none of my business. ~Bob)

Negligence: IRS Was Warned About Potential Hacking of Sensitive Taxpayer Information, Did Practically Nothing. By Katie Pavlich
Excerpt: Information and testimony given by Inspector General Russell George revealed the IRS was given multiple warnings and recommendations about how to prevent an attack or breach. The IRS failed to implement all of the recommendations given.

Germany is Killing Itself with “Satisfying” Baby-Free Sex
Excerpt: This is actually a problem throughout Europe, where birth rates are tanking, populations are aging, workforces are dwindling, and economies are being bent to the breaking point. Let's not forget another looming problem in Europe—the reality of who is having babies. Muslims. If you think the threat of Sharia law and jihadi terrorism are issues now, just wait until Muslims completely overrun Europe by the sheer force of population attrition. It’s a simple fact. This is not a crazy conspiracy theory. It’s happening before our very eyes. Muslims are reproducing in Europe and Europeans are not. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out how that scenario works out in the end. (Not just Europe. The birth rate for native born Americans is below the 2.1 live births per woman needed to keep the population stable. ~Bob)

Who will do what it takes to keep us safe? By Jennifer Rubin
Excerpt: In the aftermath of the vote on the USA Freedom Act, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) issued a statement that read: “Unfortunately, weak presidential leadership combined with a politically motivated misinformation campaign have now left the American people less safe than we’ve been at any point since the 9/11 attacks.” He added: “The failure to renew the expiring components of the PATRIOT Act was a mistake. The ‘USA Freedom Act’ weakens U.S. national security by outlawing the very programs our intelligence community and the FBI have used to protect us time and time again. ‎A major challenge for the next president will be to fix the significantly weakened ‎intelligence system that the current one is leaving behind.”

The College Board's Sabotage of American History. By Michelle Malkin
Excerpt: A stellar group of American historians and academics released a milestone open letter yesterday in protest of deleterious changes to the advanced placement U.S. history (APUSH) exam. The signatories are bold intellectual bulwarks against increasing progressive attacks in the classroom on America’s unique ideals and institutions. Moms and dads in my adopted home state of Colorado have been mocked and demonized for helping to lead the fight against the anti-American changes to APUSH. But if there’s any hope at all in salvaging local control over our kids' curriculum, it lies in the willingness of a broad coalition of educators and parents to join in the front lines for battles exactly like this one. As the 55 distinguished members of the National Association of Scholars explained this week, the teaching of American history faces “a grave new risk.”

Liberals Can’t Tell the Difference Between ‘Satire’ and News, and GOP Presidential Campaigns Are Paying the Price. By Jim Geraghty
http://www.nationalreview.com/article/419224/liberals-cant-tell-difference-between-satire-and-news-and-gop-presidential-campaigns?utm_source=jolt&utm_medium=email&utm_term=Jolt&utm_campaign=New%20Campaign
Excerpt: Of course, all of these quotes are fake. They come from a “satirical” Facebook page, “Stop the World, the Teabaggers Want Off.” But that hasn’t stopped more than a few liberals from enthusiastically sharing graphics featuring the imaginary incendiary comments, and stirring themselves into the attendant froth of outrage. The site declares itself to be “for entertainment purposes only,” and that may be true — if you’re the kind of person who devours made-up, outrageous quotes from conservative politicians for fun.

China: End Denial About Tiananmen Massacre. Crackdown on Dissent Persists On 26th Anniversary
Excerpt: The Chinese government should finally acknowledge and take responsibility for the massacre of pro-democracy demonstrators in June 1989, Human Rights Watch said today. Authorities should release activists jailed for commemorating the occasion along with all others imprisoned in China for the peaceful exercising of their political views. “Twenty-six years ago, the Chinese government decided that violent repression was the appropriate response to peaceful protest,” said Sophie Richardson, China director. “Until the government acknowledges its actions and provides redress to the many victims and their families, there is no safeguard that future protests won’t provoke a similar reaction.”

Gun News

Excerpt: When officers arrived, the 70-year-old homeowner stated he was awakened by someone shining a light in his bedroom window. He then observed a man standing outside. The male suspect then broke the bedroom window and started to climb inside. The homeowner told officers that he then grabbed a pistol and fired it at the suspect, causing the man to fall back.

Smoke shop worker fatally shoots alleged robber
Excerpt: The owner said his employee who pulled the trigger is a veteran who served in Afghanistan. He has certainly dealt with stress before, but he said what happened last night was still a shock because it was so unexpected. The employee and a customer were inside the store just before closing around 10 when four young men in their older teens or early 20s pulled up in an SUV. He said the driver stayed behind the wheel while the other three ran in with their faces covered -- two with duffel bags and the third with a gun. Before that man could get off a shot, the owner said his employee pulled out a 9 mm pistol and shot him twice, once in the chest and once in the stomach.

Police announced Wednesday that Officer Matt Kenny has been exonerated in the internal investigation of his actions in the March 6 shooting inside a Williamson Street apartment home. Kenny was cleared of criminal charges for the shooting three weeks ago, after Dane County District Attorney Ismael Ozanne said Kenny's use of deadly force against Robinson was lawful. Ozanne's decision was based on an investigation of the shooting led by state authorities.

Obamacare/Government Healthcare News

'It's Working:' More Hefty Obamacare Premium Hikes On the Way. By Guy Benson
Excerpt: Hold onto your wallets ... many insurers want to substantially hike rates on Obamacare policies for 2016. Many are proposing double-digit premium increases for individual policies, with some companies looking to boost rates more than 60%, according to a list posted Monday by the federal Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. In Florida, for instance, United Healthcare (UNH) wants to raise the rates of plans sold on the Obamacare exchange by an average of 18%. Individual policies available outside the exchange through United Healthcare or through a broker would go up by 31%, on average, with hikes as high as 60% for certain plans in certain locations. In Texas, insurer Scott & White is looking for a 32% increase for exchange-based plans, while Humana (HUM) is asking for an average 30% boost for its exclusive provider organization policies, which generally cover only in-network services.

Truth or Dare: Crunch-time for Obamacare. By Dr. Don Racheter
Excerpt: Having been fully in effect since January 1, 2014, Obamacare is experiencing a “crunch-time” of Truth or Dare alternatives. Supporters of the new system appear unwilling about the growing costs of Obamacare and how it has an unsustainable design. People who had never paid anything into the system prior to signing up are now undergoing organ transplants, by-pass surgeries, and other very expensive procedures. Overall costs are going up – not down as promised – and this will result in everyone’s premiums going up in the future.

The border surge, a year later: Tens of thousands of immigrant children remain in limbo
Excerpt: This is the first in a series of articles, one year after the surge of unaccompanied undocumented minors who crossed across the U.S.-Mexico border, examining the effects it has had on communities, schools and children themselves. More than a year since arriving in the United States, the finally came for 16-year-old Saul Martinez Ortiz to learn whether he could call America his home — or, be ordered to return to his native El Salvador. A tall, thin soft-spoken boy who’s made painstaking efforts to learn English, Saul is one of the tens of thousands of unaccompanied minors who in recent years have made the perilous 1,500-mile journey from Central America, handed off from smuggler to smuggler until they cross the Mexican border and become the responsibility of the United States.

"You're Greener than Gore" News

EPA Chief: Just Trust Us On Climate Science
http://dailycaller.com/2015/06/03/epa-chief-just-trust-us-on-climate-science/
Excerpt: Americans are just going to have to trust the EPA’s 44 years of experience dealing with environmental issues when it comes to figuring out ways to cope with man-made global warming, says the agency’s chief. EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy told Big Think in an interview that while there are limits to how much the federal government can do for issues like global warming, the public needs to trust how the EPA translates the “complicated” science into real-life actions. (So complicated that the models and predictions keep turning out wrong. ~Bob)
Excerpt: President Barack Obama's stance, expressed in his 2014 State of the Union address, is that the debate is settled and climate change is a fact. Obama is by no means unique in that view. Former Vice President Al Gore declared that "the science is settled." This "settled science" vision about climate is held by many, including those in academia. To call any science settled is sheer idiocy. Had mankind acted as though any science could possibly be settled, we'd be living in caves, as opposed to having the standard of living we enjoy today. That higher standard of living stems from challenges to what might have been seen as "scientific fact." According to mathematician Samuel Arbesman's book, "The Half-Life of Facts: Why Everything We Know Has an Expiration Date," many ideas taken as facts today will be shown to be wrong as early as five years from now.

Religion of Peace News

Kansas college student killed in mosque attack called a 'hero.' By Kevin Conlon and Greg Botelho, CNN
Excerpt: Until Friday, when the 22-year-old's life was cut short by a suicide bomber outside of a mosque in Dammam in eastern Saudi Arabia. ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack, its second on a Shiite mosque in as many weeks. The blast also killed Jalil's brother, Mohammed, and their cousin, Alarbash's father, speaking in Arabic, said in a video posted Saturday. The elder Alabash said the trio volunteered as security guards at the Al-Anoud Mosque, located in a predominantly Shiite neighborhood, and that they died "heroes" because they prevented the suicide bomber from getting inside, where scores of Shiite Muslims were worshiping at the time.

Excerpt: The video features heavy gunfights between Iraqi Security Forces and jihadists. Several technicals are shown to have been used, as well as several rocket-propelled grenades (RPG’s) and SPG-9’s. One scene features an Islamic State sniper firing on Iraqi military positions near the town. The video also shows the deployment of a suicide bomber identified with the moniker “Turkistani,” which usually denotes individuals of ethnic Uighur origin. A large portion of the video is reserved for highlighting of the “spoils” gained in the fighting. Numerous Humvees, cargo trucks, fuel tankers, and US-made MRAPS are shown to have been captured by the Islamic State.

Egyptian Historian: Drop the Palestinians, Normalize With Israel. Palestinians 'don't want to solve their own problem' says prominent historian - and Egypt should focus more on its interests, not hatred. By Ari Soffer
Excerpt: A prominent Egyptian historian took to national television last week to make an unusually open and robust case for Egypt to "drop the Palestinian cause and normalize relations with Israel." In a lengthy interview with Egypt's Mehwar TV on May 28 - segments of which were translated by MEMRI - historian Maged Farag insisted it was time for Egyptians to leave "the old ideology and cultural heritage on which we were raised" - namely, rabid anti-Zionism and anti-Semitism - in favor of a more rational focus on Egypt's own national interests. (Here is an unusual Egyptian. He acknowledges that the Palestinian leadership has no interest in a peace deal with Israel. Therefore, he concludes, that Egypt should not be held hostage to a policy that is not in its interests. He calls for a warm peace based on a mutuality of interests. Realism and reconciliation can be good things. Cordially, Larry Greenberg)

Islamists Use Boston Shooting to Sow Hatred of Law Enforcement
Excerpt: A Boston police officer and an FBI agent shot and killed a man Tuesday morning, saying he lunged at them with a military style knife when they tried to question him.
Usaama Rahim reportedly was under surveillance by a Joint Terrorism Task Force investigating his possible sympathies with Islamic State [ISIS] terrorists. Despite a lack of verified information, social media lit up almost immediately with claims that Rahim was merely waiting for a bus when he was shot in the back, and was on the telephone with his father when he was killed. The Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) used its Facebook page to promote a baseless theory that Rahim was gunned down in cold blood, and the terror investigation is a fabrication to cover that up.

US officials warn no way to monitor ISIS' online encrypted messages
Excerpt: With ISIS distributing its propaganda and recruiting messages to as many as 200,000 people on social media worldwide, U.S. officials warned Wednesday there is no way to monitor their online encrypted communications. The officials, appearing before the House Homeland Security Committee, said while there are only several thousand hardcore ISIS propagandists, technology was complicating efforts to monitor them.

Boston terror suspects plotted to behead police officers, source says
Excerpt: The man shot and killed Tuesday by Boston police was plotting with another suspect to behead a cop, a law enforcement source told FoxNews.com The dead suspect, 26-year-old Usaama Rahim, was under surveillance by the Joint Terrorism Task Force, which is comprised of state, local and federal law enforcement agents, when he was shot at about 7 a.m. near a CVS in the city's Roslindale neighborhood, when he brandished the blade at police. Later Tuesday, authorities arrested another suspect, David Wright, in connection with the case, police said.

In Boston Shooting, Islamists Damn First, Ignore Facts Later
Excerpt: Virtually everything Islamist activists in the United States claimed about Tuesday's fatal shooting of terror suspect Usaama Rahim in Boston appears to have been debunked within 24 hours. Authorities say they shot Rahim, 26, after he repeatedly lunged at them with a military-style knife as they tried to question him. The skepticism was fueled by online posts by Rahim's brother, Imam Ibrahim Rahim. His claims, which fueled the immediate and reflexive condemnation of the Boston police and FBI, turned out to be wrong. Usaama Rahim was not shot in the back. He was not on the telephone with his father when he was shot. Law enforcement did back up and give Rahim several opportunities to end the confrontation peacefully.

Excerpt: US Deputy Secretary of State Antony Blinken claimed that “more than 10,000″ Islamic State fighters and commanders have been killed since the air campaign in Iraq began in August 2014 and subsequently in Syria in September 2014. If true, US intelligence estimates on the strength of the Islamic State are grossly underestimated.

Excerpt: Four days after the Islamic State launched a sudden assault on towns and villages in Syria’s northern Aleppo province, the heavy fighting continues. Not only is the Islamic State battling a consortium of rebel groups and jihadists in Aleppo, the “caliphate” is attempting to push into the predominately Kurdish city of Hasakah, which is the capital of the northeastern province with the same name . Abu Bakr al Baghdadi’s men began to attack Hasakah several days ago, with the Syrian state-controlled news agency, SANA, claiming that the jihadists’ plans had been thwarted by regime loyalists. However, the Islamic State regrouped and began a new round of fighting in the last twenty-four hours.

Obama's Game Plan For ISIS: 'Run Out The Clock' On The Ground Troops Question. By Matt Vespa
Excerpt: ‘Sorry, I’ve got to go–bye’ seems to be the mindset of the Obama administration regarding using ground troops to fight ISIS. The aversion to redeploy troops to Iraq isn’t new. But as airstrikes have shown to be ineffective in curbing the Islamic State’s expansion, a small contingent of troops should at least be on the table. Nevertheless, President Obama’s goal appears to be not letting that question become too intense, hoping to “run out the clock” on him being forced to decide on that option in the remaining months of his presidency. At the same time, that mindset shows–at least on some level–that the administration knows that some ground forces might be needed; they just don’t want to be in office when that time comes.

http://freedomoutpost.com/2015/06/cair-leader-ahmad-saleem-arrested-in-major-child-sex-trafficking-ring-bust-sex-with-children-as-young-as-10/
Excerpt: The UK child sex trafficking gangs we have come to America. CAIR leader Ahmad Saleem, a Muslim youth coordinator, was also one of the men arrested. Investigators said the men all went to a home in Clermont with the hopes of having sex with a child. The car Saleem traveled in had a license plate that said, "Invest in children," according to investigators. I am sure Ahmad Saleem believes he is following in Muhammad's footsteps. Muhammad's favorite wife Aisha was 6 when he married her.

Important: Assad’s Forces May Be Aiding New ISIS Surge. By Anne Barnard
Excerpt: Building on recent gains in Iraq and Syria, Islamic State militants are marching across northern Syria toward Aleppo, Syria’s largest city, helped along, their opponents say, by the forces of President Bashar al-Assad. In the countryside northeast of Aleppo on Tuesday, Islamic State fighters fought rival Syrian insurgents amid fears that the Islamic State was positioning itself to make Aleppo its next big prize. Syrian opposition leaders accused the Syrian government of essentially collaborating with the Islamic State, leaving the militants unmolested as they pressed a surprise offensive against other insurgent groups — even though the government and the Islamic State are nominal enemies — and instead striking the rival insurgents. ( In nearly a year of fighting ISIS the United States has offered tepid, just-in-time support to those fighting the Sunni-based militants, and at times has appeared to actually allow ISIS to take new territory—all while also negotiating a new alliance with Shiite Iran. Perhaps President Obama sees his determination to no longer fight in the Middle East, shared by most Americans, meeting the realpolitik secular drift at the State Department, which turns a blind eye to the religious dimensions of the conflict and attendant atrocities, as a way to achieve parity in the region. The likely end result: a powerful Sunni caliphate state (with support from Turkey and Saudi Arabia) stretching from the Levant to the Iranian border that in this line of thinking would check both Israel and Iran, while appearing to leave existing U.S. alliances in place. This takes remaking the Middle East, something previous presidents have dreamed of, to a whole new level. --Mindy Belz)

All Islamic Extremism is Unacceptable. By Tarek Fatah
Excerpt: On Sunday, over 700 Canadians braved unseasonal cold and non-stop rain for four hours outside an Islamic centre north of Toronto. They came to protest a bizarre celebration honouring the life and deeds of the late Iranian theocratic dictator, Ayatollah Khomeini.
There were politicians from the left to the right, writers, poets, artists, former prisoners and exiles, grandmothers, refugees, victims of torture. They were mostly Iranian Canadians, but also Pakistanis, Jews, Kurds, orthodox Muslims, Marxists and Monarchists.

How Islam in America Became a Privileged Religion. By Daniel Greenfield
Excerpt: What is Islam? The obvious dictionary definition answer is that it’s a religion, but legally speaking it actually enjoys all of the advantages of race, religion and culture with none of the disadvantages. Islam is a religion when mandating that employers accommodate the hijab, but when it comes time to bring it into the schools, places that are legally hostile to religion, American students are taught about Islam, visit mosques and even wear burkas and recite Islamic prayers to learn about another culture. Criticism of Islam is denounced as racist even though the one thing that Islam clearly isn’t is a race.

Belgium Muslim official says he’d “slaughter each and every” Jew. By Robert Spencer, JihadWatch.org
Excerpt: Good thing Mohamed N. was removed from his position as a “guardian of the peace.” Surely the architects of today’s Brave New Europe have much better things in store for such a forthright and enterprising young man. Watch for him to turn up as again as an EU “multiculturalism” authority, or a bishop or something.
