Sorry, away today, only bad news to post

We were away today visiting friends, and my personal assistant was supposed to do the blog, but he chewed through his ropes and vanished. I have rehab tomorrow morning and a dinner with another lung patient tomorrow night, a Marine who I think needs a bit of support. I have 130 unread emails, so will try to catch up over the weekends.

Important: Supreme Court upholds ObamaCare subsidies

Excerpt: In the second major court win for President Obama on his signature health care law, the Supreme Court on Thursday upheld ObamaCare subsidies in states that did not set up their own health care exchanges.  The decision was 6-3.  A ruling against the administration would have threatened subsidies in nearly three-dozen states. For months, though, the administration said it had no back-up plans, confident the Supreme Court would rule in its favor. The Supreme Court previously upheld the law's individual mandate in 2012, in a 5-4 decision. (Though I think the court was wrong both times, I expected this. Once government gives benefits, hard to take away. We have raised generations who demand and expect ever more in largess from the federal and state governments. we are now importing millions of illegal immigrants with the same expectations. But the iron laws of economics will not be denied. When "more" runs out in the fairly near future, it will get very ugly. ~Bob)
