Despite abject, fulsome, obsequious, groveling apologies from the President of the United States down to the guy who empties the trash at the airbase, it has failed to quell Muslim violence over the accidental burning of Muslim-defaced Qur’ans in Afghanistan. Now there are some folks who think this is because Muslims just love to have some perceived offence to riot about, so they can slaughter people, mostly each other. Or that Muslims riot to take their minds off the terrible way Islam condemns them to live.

But I reject that view. Muslims have issues. Lots of issues. LOTS of issues. So I figured that if I added a more broad-based apology on those issues, it might help calm the violence. Of course, like President Obama’s apology, it might just lead to more Muslim violence and thus more dead Muslims. I figure either way, it probably can’t hurt. So here goes.

I’m sorry that violent Muslim jihadists committed blasphemy by desecrating the Qur’an to pass messages designed to help them increase terror and murder. I’m sorry that so many Muslims thought that desecration was acceptable. I’m sorry that the rioters are too stupid to blame the Muslims for desecrating the Holy Qur’an, rather than the low level employees who though the desecrated Qur’ans were trash and accidently burned them.

I’m sorry that the rioters have such screwed up priorities they care more about a destroyed book than a human life. I’m sorry that the riots make people think Islam is a religion for idiots, and that the rioters are thus insulting Islam.

I’m sorry that so many Muslims blaspheme God, whom you call Allah, by thinking He is so weak, puny and touchy that you must murder and riot to protect Him from anything you think might offend Him. I’m sorry that you think you have the right to decide for God what offends him and extract punishment for it. Holding this view of God is certainly blasphemy and will be punished, by Him, not us. He is all powerful and He won’t need our help to punish you.

I’m sorry that the rioters care more about burned books than about a girl burned by her Muslim father without a hint of Muslim outrage.

I’m also sorry that such a large majority of the often-daily murders in the name of Allah are Muslims killed by other Muslims who interpret the faith differently. Or are in the wrong place when something happens. I’m sorry that thousands of Muslims have to die at the hands of other Muslims to please Allah.

I’m sorry that so many millions of Muslims still think that it’s acceptable for much older men to marry and have sex with girls as young as nine, because Mohammad did, according to the sacred Hadith (Sahih Bukhari Volume 7, Book 62, Number 64 Narrated 'Aisha: that the Prophet married her when she was six years old and he consummated his marriage when she was nine years old, and then she remained with him for nine years (i.e., till his death). I’m sorry that Muslims consider Mohammad, a violent seventh-century warlord, as the perfect example of conduct for them in the 21^st century.

I’m sorry that so many millions of Muslims still follow the Koranic provisions and Shari’a Law that make women second class citizens in marriage, testifying in court, inheritance, driving, attire, holding jobs or getting an education.

I’m sorry that Muslim concepts of female modesty are so barbaric that religious police in Mecca would force 15 teen girls back into a fire to die because they were not properly dressed.

I’m sorry that the punishment for tens of millions of Muslims believing these things is that you have to live with oppression, violence, poverty and death.

Here's a thought. Let's put word out that people are secretly burning Korans. Think of being accused of being a Closet Crusader. Paranoia, apoplexy, social spasms and suspicion could cause something like a Parisian Traffic jamb. The PC'ers, Islamophiles and Islamoleptics will have their knickers twisted. If accused, demand proof; require a Habeas Libra. Watch for people who might have plain common pins under their lapels, drachmas in penny loafers, one eyelet not laced in a shoe and other furtive devices.

Hey, it's a negative they'd have to prove - Let's watch them try (I mean, they won't be hindered by logic). The way this issue and the country's going, let's have ball with it. Let's sell tickets. Maybe house parties with guests bringing detritus from ash-trays. "Can you prove that that ash is not.....?" (Again - "they won't be hindered by logic"...watch them strain in proving a negative by affirmation of a suspicions - They‘d be scrambling for St. Thomas Aquinas.).

The money-maker here is publishing Korans for the sole purpose of burning. If they're bound in pig-skin there will be the double volatility: the substance and the art of good insult. (Better than curse "May the fleas on your camel once live on monkeys".)

Here's a twist: Remember, Imam Rauf suggested if the Zero Mosque isn't built, “Islam will explode”? Let’s reverse the hostage ploy: Let's offer Islam a chance to ransom Korans with their petro-dollars. (Hell, it could exceed the revenues of mailed products in presidential an election season - including money wasted on primaries.)

With 1.57 billion Muslims, making up 23% of the world population, there could be quite a revenue. Whole classes of talibs might receive cinders documents to celebrate their graduations. We could issue receipts to show their imams. (And, if you act right now, we can issue you a photographed certificate with your debircsni eman - Oops! - name inscribed.) They' d trip over the hems of their thawbs trying to get them. Think of the revenues in pulp (cindered and used for publication). True copies should have water-marked pages. We could even use recycled paper from self-help, inner-self and how-to books or the defeatist US history school texts of the past fifty years. Price controls would have to be established to guarantee value. Only payment in US Currency or gold weight will be accepted. (State and local tax-exempt.) Hawala transfer not accepted.

Now, as the highest of motives tend to the human element of corruption, let's project into possible criminality: Kasbah entrepreneurs are likely to set up black markets of bogus receipts. Black markets cause inflation, and in theocracies this plan could be quite damaging. What we don't realize in revenues will be complemented by little chinks in local economies.

Because they avoid drinking water in fear that if they have to go to the toilet at night, they will be caught and raped by their comrades. I read that report over a year ago, and it made me physically sick. So when I read accounts of Amerikan soldiers handing out sweets from their tanks to Iraqi kids so that those starving children will act as human shields in the event of an insurgent attack, I don't feel too much surprise nowadays. The only thing that surprises me are idiots like you, who pretend that there is an iota of dignity or honour in the armed forces of your filthy, depraved country. In the immediate wake of the World Trade Centre attacks, I watched with many across the world and felt a genuine pang of upset for the US...now, as I read daily reports about the kind of atrocities that your subhuman comrades inflict on innocent, God-fearing people, I feel only joy when I hear about random high-school shootings that remove just a few more Amerikan lives from this planet. That is what people like you have done to me, and most probably done to many others in the world. I have indeed read quite a bit about Islam, the Qur’an and the Hadiths (the traditions of the Prophet—Peace be upon Him) which are considered holy works without which one cannot understand the Qur’an. And I have not found anything about honor killing or genital mutilation of young girls in those works. (Though there is support for child marriage in Islam under Shari’a law, as the hadiths say Muhammad married his youngest wife at 6, consummated the marriage when she was 9.) But there is mush of hate, conquest, and the subjugation of women that leads to these outrages. Google “honor killing” and see how many Presbyterians are murdering their female family members over the family’s “honor.”

That there are hundreds of millions of peaceful Muslims who want to live in peace is certainly true, just as there were millions of peaceful Germans and Japanese in 1938 who wanted to live in peace. Given that they do not have to power or authority of the haters, that is irrelevant, just as it was in 1938. I feel bad for them, living under the governments and Shari’a law they do. If any place needs separation of church (mosque) and state, it is the Islamic countries. Unfortunately, Islam is both a religion and a political system—they are inseparable—and it’s every Muslim’s duty to impose Islam & Shari’a on the rest of us, by force if necessary.

And, yes there are violent parts of the old testament--but Christians and Jews are not acting on them every day.
