The Smear Continues

The Smear Continues
Excerpt: At least a dozen individuals who were with the president in France have all publicly rejected Goldberg’s claims. The allegation is that these offensive remarks were said during a particular meeting. Everyone, with the exception of Gen. John Kelly, who was in that meeting has publicly denied it. But Kelly’s top aide, Zach Fuentes, who was at the meeting, also rebuked The Atlantic story, adding, “Honestly, do you think General Kelly would have stood by and let ANYONE call fallen Marines losers?” (The record is there of his long term benevolence and support of veterans. Not that any of the major media of today cared to dig it out from the records at all, no, it's just "Hey, The Atlantic published a beautiful hit piece on Trump, GO FOR IT!". See, if one were a journalist, a real one, then you'd see the Atlantic story and say "Hmm.... let's check out his past with vets and see what's there". And it wouldn't be hard to find at all. But real journalists are like hen's teeth now, and have been on the endangered species list for decades. What we have are opinionated activists who call themselves journalists, who go for the dramatic and of course, the anticonservative trope as much as possible. How can we expect a democracy to survive when it depends on informed voters, and the media misinform as policy --Del. It beggars belief that voters would believe that Trump slandered vets two years ago, and it just came out now from anonymous sources. ~Bob)
