A Marine for 56 years

Tuesday, November 4, is election day. It was election day 56 years ago when I graduated from Parris Island, earned the title "Marine." I was with my drill instructors, Sgt. Ezekiel Owens, Jr, Sgt. Michael P. Martin, and Sgt. William H. Harris, for 11 weeks. They have been with me every day since. Thanks to them I have had a long, happy, and successful life. Self-discipline is everything.
