Random Thoughts for September 2020

Random Thoughts for September 2020
By Robert A. Hall
Feel free to post or forward.

Apologies this is late. I got a new smart phone, but the same dumb user. It imported all my Google contacts. Since they were emails & not phone numbers, I deleted about half  on my phone before I discovered that was also deleting them from Gmail on my computer! So if you didn’t get this, let me know.

My health has been improving, still not 100%, but working from home, feeling better, and my weight is up to 151 as I write.

If black lives really mattered, they’d defund Planned Parenthood.

It takes a long time to grow an old friend. -Todd R.

The only police the Democrats want to fund these days is the thought police. – National Review

“Tomorrow is my birthday. I turn 75. I believe that I am now playing with house money. More importantly, I own an AR-15 and two pistols with a boatload of ammunition. You see, I have reached the conclusion that the older I get, the less life imprisonment is a deterrent for me and so, when and if the BLM crew and their acolytes start causing problems for me and my neighbors, they had best be on good terms with the Lord. I tend to fight like I’m the third gorilla trying to catch a ride on Noah’s Ark when it is starting to rain!” –E. P. Unum

The closer the cut, the more likely the fail.

It’s 50-50 that taking the easy way turns out to be the hard way.

Some folks look better in a mask.

Let’s settle the argument. Republicans vote in person; Democrats vote by mail. Anyone voting more than once gets mandatory five years prison.

We must treat Kamala Harris with the same courtesy and respect that Democrats showed Sarah Palin.

From the ‘Net: “Why did Cuomo send COVID patients to nursing homes? Old people vote Republican, dead people vote Democrat.”

People don’t believe polls unless they show what they want to see.

Be careful what you say. “Big Woke” is listening.

When I was managing the Pennsylvania optometric Association we had a call from a member asking why he’d received no response to his registration for the May conference. I said we had not received it. He sent another check. In September, we received his original registration and check in an envelope stamped “Found in machinery believed to be empty.” Not that it happened so often they had a STAMP for the envelope. If this had been his ballot, no one would have known. They also took delight in finding technical reasons to turn down bulk mailings. Last year I had a package go missing. The tracking number traced it to a PO in Ohio. Then nothing. Too bad, lost (I suspect stolen by an employee). Sure I trust the post office.

Why don’t they declare the California wildfires were started by BLM, and thus just let them burn?

People are changing the “L” in BLM to an “O.” “Black Olives Matter.” Just don’t get caught. Capital offense.

“Green” electric cars needs about a half ton on earth moved to make their batteries and are powered by oil and coal fired plants.

Looking at the riots in Wisconsin, I miss Scott Walker more than ever.

Antifa is a rabid dog.

In two years, we will have Freikorps units patrolling the streets. Every action produces a reaction.

So burning the American Flag or the bible is protected free speech. Try burning a BLM flag, a gay pride flag or a Qur’an and see how much protected free speech you have.

The left has peace, tolerance. And love in their words, and violence, oppression, and hate in their hearts.

I wonder how many BLM members are thinking that if Biden becomes president, all it would take was one bullet to make a black woman president?

Had a white supremacist tell me on Facebook I should leave planned parenthood alone, without them there would be more black criminals around.

Joe Biden has been in office for about 40 years. He’s still running on what he plans to do if elected.

“Low self-esteem is too deep a malady to be cured by hearing nice things about one’s ethnic past.” -Arthur Schlesinger

Black folks make up 13% of the population, but 52% of the murder victims (the vast majority killed by other black folks). So if you are a racist and want to kill off a lot of blacks, defund the police!

Get the collection! My “Random Thoughts” from 2009 through July, 2013 are collected in this book: The Old Jarhead's Journal: Random Thoughts on Life, Liberty, and Leadership by Robert A. Hall
The Old Jarhead’s Journal is a collection of Random Thoughts on politics and life and Conservative Political Essays, mostly published on the author’s blog, including the essay “I’m Tired” which went viral on the Internet in 2009, “The Hall Platform,” “This I Believe,” and “Why I’m a Republican.” While they will be of interest to conservative thinkers, they are collected here in book form as a service to readers who wish to give a copy to favorite liberals and watch their heads explode.
