1619 and the Narrative of Despair

1619 and the Narrative of Despair by Allen C. Guelzo
This is the latest learned rebuttal to the highly inaccurate and biased "1619 Project". There have been several others, including one from a group of Black American historians. But in today's PC dominated society, anything that degrades America and its history is not just accepted by glorified instantly. I truly dread to think of schools using this so widely as a tool in teaching our history. There is no better way to make a building collapse than just eroding away its foundations, and false history telling everyone how awful we have been and still are is erosion indeed. -Del

  1. I think that one of the biggest points to make is that only about 4% of the Africans shipped to the New World landed in what was to become the United States. So if slavery is "at the heart of American history", what is slavery in the history of Brazil, the Caribbean and so many other parts of the New World? And if slavery is why the U.S. became so rich and powerful and free and great, why didn't Brazil and the Caribbean and the rest of the shithole countries? PM
