Democrat strategy shift
From a friend and former liberal legislative colleague: Interesting that, after Ryan's saying he'd no longer defend Trump, the Clinton campaign responded by pointing out that he had not un-endorsed Trump. From the beginning, the Clinton strategists have had the choice between emphasizing the prominent anti-Trump GOP as a way to argue Trump is unfit for the Presidency or doing the opposite-pretending there is no such split to try to tar all Republicans with the Trump brush, so as to win the Senate and maybe even the House. Clearly, they now are confident enough about beating Trump that they are shifting to the latter option.
