Interesting that Newsweek has come out with this very clear article about China and the government domination (sometimes overt, sometimes covert) of every industry based there, and what that means in terms of the hazards of using Chinese software.  Again, this is NOT about the Chinese people, it's about the tiny fraction of people who are essentially the all powerful dictators of the nation, backed up by a super efficient police system that makes the Gestapo look like amateurs.

 

We've been hit in the face with the wake-up call about China and their long term policies of theft, spying, and assorted ways of extending their influence far and wide, with total absence of what we think of as ethics and morality.  It's way more than time for us, and the rest of the world, to understand what the Beijing elite are really about.
