Gov. Walker Signs Bill Making Wisconsin Right-to-Work State
Excerpt: Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker on Monday signed into law a measure that prohibits requiring a worker to pay union dues, striking another blow against organized labor four years after the state effectively ended collective bargaining for public-sector employees.

Emails show Clinton aides running interference during Benghazi attack. By Catherine Herridge
Excerpt: The emails show that while receiving updates about the assault as it happened, Mills told then-State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland to stop answering reporter questions about the status of Ambassador Chris Stevens, who was missing and later found dead.
Also littered throughout the State Department emails, obtained by conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch, are references to a so-called Benghazi Group. A diplomatic source told Fox News that was code inside the department for the so-called Cheryl Mills task force, whose job was damage control.

Hillary Clinton's only hope: To tame her worst habits, she’ll need a real primary challenge — preferably from Elizabeth Warren. By Gail Sheehy
Excerpt: On the day after Hillary Clinton went on “60 Minutes” to hide the lies of her husband — 21 years ago — I rode knee-to-knee with her in a small plane and listened to her rehearse her war strategy: “Pound the Republican attack machine and blame the press.” The events of the past week have confirmed a nagging fear: Those of us who’d hoped the controlling, deceptive, defensive Clinton of years past had grown into a more mature kind of leader are wrong. She has reacted to a series of legitimate press reports raising serious questions about her use of a private email server to conduct the public’s business while secretary of state by going into bunker stance and attacking the messengers. We have seen this face on Hillary too often before, and it is deeply unappealing.

Worth Reading: Emails May Be a Key to Addressing 'Pay-to-Play' Whispers at Clinton Foundation. By Ron Fournier
Excerpt: Disclosure: I've known and respected the Clintons since the 1980s, when I covered state politics for the Arkansas Democrat (now the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette) and the Associated Press. .... And yet, a New York developer donated $100,000 to the foundation at about the same time Hillary Clinton helped secure millions of dollars in federal assistance for the businessman's mall project. An aide close enough to Bill Clinton to be considered a surrogate son, Doug Band, set up Teneo, a company that New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd calls "a scammy blend of corporate consulting, public relations, and merchant banking." Band recruited clients from the foundation donor list while encouraging others to donate. "Its marketing materials highlighted Mr. Band's relationship with Mr. Clinton and the Clinton Global Initiative, where Mr. Band sat on the board of directors through 2011 and remains as an advisers," according to a 2013 New York Times exposé.

Gowdy: ‘There Are Huge Gaps’ in E-mails Clinton’s Turned Over to Benghazi Committee http://www.nationalreview.com/corner/415066/gowdy-there-are-huge-gaps-e-mails-clintons-turned-over-benghazi-committee-katherine
Excerpt: “If you think to that iconic picture of her on a C-17 flying to Libya, sunglasses on — she has her hand-held device in her hand — we have no e-mails from that day,” he said. “In fact we have no e-mails from that trip.” Representative Gowdy said that “it strains credibility” to believe that Clinton would have sent no e-mails relevant to the committee’s investigation on a trip “to Libya to discuss Libyan policy.”

White House Reset: Obama Knew Of Hillary’s Private Email. By Neil Munro
Excerpt: President Barack Obama actually did know that Hillary Clinton used a non-government email address when she was secretary of state, but didn’t know the extend of her private email system, White House spokesman Josh Earnest said Monday. “I would not describe the numbers of emails as large. … He was not aware of the details of how that email address and that server had been set up,” Earnest said. That’s a shift from Saturday, March 7, when Obama told CBS that he learned about Clinton’s private email system in the news.

Man Arrested After Calling 911 To Report His Wife Stole His Cocaine

Hopefully not true: Hillary Clinton leaked intel to hurt Israeli war plans, says watchdog attorney
Excerpt: On Tuesday, a former Department of Justice prosecuting attorney said that he believes then-Secretary of State Clinton -- probably using her unofficial and illegal email system -- was complicit in the leaking of classified intelligence regarding military operation plans formulated by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Israeli Defense Force (IDF) to destroy Iran's nuclear weapons program. In a Washington Post front page news story on March 2, 2015,reporter Anne Gearan intimated that the likely reason for the release of Israel's plans to a New York Times reporter was intended to hurt the Israeli's war plans, since President Barack Obama and his staff -- including his top advisor Valerie Jarrett, herself born in Iran -- believed Israel was willing and had the technical and strategic expertise to launch a preemptive sneak attack on Iran in order to eliminate their nuclear threat. (If this is true, it would be just if Hillary, Obama and Jarrett were in the first city nuked by a terrorist A-bomb supplied by Iran. We are going to lose one. ~Bob)

Clinton e-mails reinvigorate inquiry into allies who got special job status
Excerpt: Sen. Charles E. Grassley (R-Iowa), who heads the Judiciary Committee, had previously questioned Clinton’s use of a program that allowed some political allies to work for the government while pursuing private-sector careers. Grassley had sought e-mails and other documents from the State Department. But he didn’t know, until last week, that Clinton was exclusively using a private e-mail account that could contain relevant information about Clinton’s use of the so-called “special government employee” program. Huma Abedin, a Clinton confidante and adviser who was granted the special designation, also used the private e-mail system.

Excerpt: An IG audit of the Social Security Administration found that the nation’s database of active Social Security numbers includes more than six and a half million people who are older than 112 years of age. Many people are living longer, but not to age 112 or beyond -- except in the records of the Social Security Administration. The SSA's inspector general has identified 6.5 million number-holders age 112 -- or older -- for whom no death date has been entered in the main electronic file, called Numident. (

Knock Off The Loser Talk. This Fight Hasn’t Even Begun. By Kurt Schlichter
Excerpt: No, the fight’s not over. So stop whining that you can’t go back to sitting on your rear end – we have a long campaign ahead. I know you’re tired. I know you’re frustrated. And I don’t care. Some people want to throw in the towel just as we are approaching the knockout. News flash: Our opponents punch back. Time to take the hit and drive on. We’re winning, only we haven’t won yet. So pick up your (figurative) weapons and follow me. The fight’s up ahead, and we’re going to keep moving to the sound of the guns.

Jean-Claude Juncker calls for EU army
Excerpt: The European Union needs its own army to help address the problem that it is not “taken entirely seriously” as an international force, the president of the European commission has said. Jean-Claude Juncker said such a move would help the EU to persuade Russia that it was serious about defending its values in the face of the threat posed by Moscow. However, his proposal was immediately rejected by the British government, which said that there was “no prospect” of the UK agreeing to the creation of an EU army. (Most Europeans would not fight for their own country, never mind die for the EU Bureaucrats. But uniforms would be cheap; there are surely old warehouses full of brown shirts and jackboots. ~Bob)

Gun News

Obama: ‘Important’ Second Amendment Responsible for High Homicide Rates
Excerpt: Obama seems to not understand that places with the toughest gun laws have the worst crime rates. Moreover, Obama hinted that the individual right to bear arms–the very right protected by the Second Amendment–is the result of a Supreme Court interpretation. On June 22, Breitbart News reported that The Washington Post espoused this same liberal talking point, claiming that the Supreme Court created an individual right to keep and bear arms via the District of Columbia v. Heller (2008) decision. (Whose Constitution was he teaching. --JB).

6-Year-Old Suspended for Pointing Finger at Classmate and Saying, “Bang, You’re Dead”
EXCERPT: I know, this is such odd behavior for a 6-year-old, warranting that he be suspended for a day. According to school officials, this boy “threatened his peers.” He pointed his index finger at a student and said, “Bang, you’re dead.” I believe the victim is in stable condition but may need psychological counseling.

Excerpt: Charles Dorsey considers his elderly neighbor to be “family,” and so when he saw a pair of men breaking into her home, he grabbed his gun and went to her aid as his sister called 911. He encountered the two burglars and held them at gunpoint. One of the men acted aggressively. That was a mistake.

Two Marines stop armed robber at Starbucks on Congress
Excerpt: Two marines caught a man this morning who witnesses say held up clerks at a downtown coffee shop. Investigators are now checking to see if the suspect is linked to other recent hold ups. The northwest corner of 6th and Congress was closed Friday morning. Inside the yellow tape, crime scene investigators cataloged evidence scattered on the sidewalk; cash, blood and a gun. Witnesses say inside a Starbucks, shortly after 9:00 am, a man held up the employees with what turned out to be an air pistol. As the gunman tried to escape he was chased down by two customers. It all played out in front of Clayton Holmes.

‘The march is not yet over,’ Obama tells crowd at foot of Selma bridge

Remembering Selma, Barack Obama, and Obama's Weird Selma Mythmaking. By Tim Graham
Excerpt: Five years before, on March 4, 2007, Obama made a speech saluting the 1965 civil rights march in Selma, Alabama, and claimed his parents were inspired by Selma before he was born. “There was something stirring across the country because of what happened in Selma, Alabama, because some folks are willing to march across a bridge. So they got together and Barack Obama Jr. was born. So don’t tell me I don’t have a claim on Selma, Alabama. Don’t tell me I’m not coming home when I come to Selma, Alabama.” This was a pretty bizarre claim for a man who was born in Hawaii and whose parents never had a real marriage, and were literally on different continents by the time of the Selma march of 1965. Selma didn’t bring his parents together; they were officially divorced in 1964, and Obama’s father left Harvard in 1964 and returned to Kenya with another white American woman, named Ruth Baker, and they married there in 1964. His mother married Lolo Soetoro in 1965. The real story in no way resembled Obama’s mythical narrative that Selma inspired two people to fall in love and conceive a future president.

NY Times Crops Bush Out Of Selma Picture, Highlights Ferguson
Excerpt: On the 50th anniversary of the march across the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma, Alabama, The New York Times chose a front page picture of President Barack Obama, his family, and civil rights leaders who were there at the time. Missing from the photo, though only a few people down to the right, were former President George W. Bush and his wife Laura. The Times also focused quite a bit of their story on the shooting death of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri, even though the local and federal investigations into that event found race had zero role in it and they refused to bring charges. (NYT Motto: All the news that fits the narrative. ~Bob)

Protests held after black man is fatally shot by police officer in Wisconsin
Excerpt: An unarmed 19-year-old black man was fatally shot Friday night by a white police officer in Madison, Wis., touching off protests and chants of “Black lives matter” that continued into Saturday. The police chief on Saturday called the incident a “perverse perfect storm” of details that for some appeared to fit the national narrative of officer-involved deaths of black men. (As usual, both sides are establishing their narratives without having the facts, though they hardly matter to the media. Everyone may have an opinion, but only those present have an informed opinion--and every one of them has reason to spin if not lie. ~Bob)

Wisconsin Shooting Victim, 19, Was Convicted Last Year For Role In Armed Home Invasion
Excerpt: The unarmed Wisconsin teenager who was shot to death last night during a confrontation with a Madison cop pleaded guilty last year to armed robbery and recently began serving a three-year probation term for that felony conviction, court records show. (Coming home from Rehab Monday, I passed a protest march going towards the capital on East Washington Street. I was headed the other way. Big banner, about 2150-200 people, at least half white, followed by a line of frustrated drivers. I assume mostly UW students. I was a Vietnam vet in college while the war was still on. I overhead one conversation that went: "You going to the protest march Saturday?" "Where and what time?" "Ten a.m. downtown." "Yea, I'll go. what's it about?" If it's a protest, some students are in. A few years ago, a lot of students signed a petition to ban "di-hydrogen oxide, which kills many people every year and is now in our food and drinking water." (That's H2O). I bet I could get up a march at UW to ban carbon-based life forms. ~Bob)

High School Principal Excludes White Students From ‘Black Lives Matter’ Event
Excerpt: On February 27th, Oak Park and River Forest High School principal, Nathaniel Rouse, hosted a “Black Lives Matter” event exclusively for black students. The assembly was intended to culminate Black History Month with a discussion on race relations. Approximately 350 black individuals attended the event. When white students attempted to attend the assembly, however, they were denied entry. (Judges people on the color of their skin, not the content of their characters. ~Bob)

DOJ Targets Ferguson
Excerpt: Missouri state law allows cities to obtain up to 30 percent of their operating revenues from fine and forfeitures, and Ferguson is not anywhere close to the number. ...Eric Holder’s ignores the fact that nine black-run cities in the St. Louis area with overwhelmingly black populations are currently being sued by the Missouri Attorney General for collecting fines and fees over 30 percent of their budget, an obvious violation of state law....If you are beginning to detect an element of racism in this targeting of Ferguson by Eric Holder, then welcome to the party Captain Obvious. Ferguson is being singled out, because they have a white Republican mayor. Obamacare/Government Healthcare News

Excerpt: The insolvent Iowa-based health insurance cooperative, CoOportunity Health, had to be taken over in December by Iowa insurance regulators. Iowa and Nebraska’s Guarantee Associations — and state and federal taxpayers — are now on the hook for millions in claims the insurer could not pay. CoOportunity Health wasn’t a traditional health insurer. Rather, it was a taxpayer-funded, non-profit health insurance cooperative (co-op) established under the Affordable Care Act (ACA). The co-op program is plagued by numerous flaws. When co-ops were established, they had no customers and no historical actuarial data to assist in setting plan premiums. Startup funds and cash reserves were mostly borrowed from taxpayers. According to industry data only one of the 23 co-ops was profitable last year (a 24th co-op located in Vermont failed before it even got off the ground).

Kill Obamacare, or U.S. healthcare will suffer same fate as Britain. By Dan Hannan
Excerpt: A colleague of mine, a Conservative MEP, was cremated last month. Except he wasn't: the hospital had released the wrong body to the undertakers. A second funeral has just been held with his actual remains — though, of course, nothing can be done for the family of whoever was cremated in error. We take such incompetence for granted; it doesn't make the news. Even when something happens that is atrocious enough to generate headlines — the latest scandal being what an official report calls a "systemic cover-up" of baby deaths in a hospital in North West England — no one calls for the system to be overhauled. The truth is that, after 60 years of a state monopoly in healthcare, most of my countrymen are unable to imagine any alternative. It's a vivid demonstration of what Milton Friedman called "the tyranny of the status quo".

"You're Greener than Gore" News

Excerpt: On Thursday afternoon, six cars from a 103-car train loaded with Bakken oil derailed and two caught fire in northern Illinoisaccording to the Associated Press.
The derailment occurred in a rural area near the town of Galena, Illinois, and prompted authorities to set an evacuation radius of one mile from the crash site.

Global warming devastating the Arctic
Excerpt: The Arctic ocean is warming up, icebergs are growing scarcer and in some places the seals are finding the water too hot, according to a report to the Commerce Department yesterday from Consul Ifft, at Bergen, Norway. Reports from fishermen, seal hunters and explorers, he declared, all point to a radical change in climate conditions and hitherto unheard-of temperatures in the Arctic zone. (November, 1922...~Bob)

Interesting: Republican senators warn Iran in open letter. By Nick Gass
Excerpt: Republican senators want to give Iranian leaders — and the president — a refresher on the constitutional balance of power. In a highly unusual move, a group of 47 Republicans in the upper chamber has written to Iran’s top leaders to let them know that any nuclear deal they reach with the United States would be “nothing more than an executive agreement.” Freshman Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) organized the letter, which features signatures from top Republican Senate leadership and potential presidential candidates such as Sens. Marco Rubio of Florida, Ted Cruz of Texas and Rand Paul of Kentucky.

Obama says we are safer! In campaign against terrorism, U.S. enters period of pessimism and gloom
Excerpt: U.S. counterterrorism officials and experts, never known for their sunny dispositions, have entered a period of particular gloom. In congressional testimony recently, Director of National Intelligence James R. Clapper Jr. went beyond the usual litany of threats to say that terrorism trend lines were worse “than at any other point in history.”

Afghan Elder Saluting Marine Memorial

Excerpt: Unidentified militants fired more than 30 rockets into the UN’s base in Mali’s northwestern city of Kidal today. The attack has left three people dead, including one Chadian peacekeeper and two Malian children, and more than 12 injured. According to the BBC, several rockets hit an adjacent camp for Tuareg and Arab nomads, killing the two children and injuring many others. A UN spokesman said that the attack was of a “very complex nature, in the sense that they used mortars and shells from different locations; from the north and south of the base,” according to Al Jazeera. No group has yet to take responsibility for this attack, but al Qaeda-affiliated groups have conducted similar rocket barrages on UN forces in the past.

Five dead including Frenchman and Belgian in Mali restaurant terror attack
Excerpt: A hooded assailant has killed five people including a Frenchman and a Belgian in a gun and grenade attack on a nightclub popular with expatriates in Mali’s capital Bamako.
A policeman, a security guard and a young woman were the three Malians who died.
The attacker shouted “Allahu akbar” (Arabic for ‘God is great’) as he burst into the nightclub, La Terrasse, at about one am and sprayed bullets from an automatic rifle, witnesses said. (Those who charge that concern over murders like these is just “Islamophobia” should kindly point out when Muslims have ever screamed “Allahu akbar” and then performed an act of charity, generosity, or magnanimity. --Robert Spencer, JihadWatch.org)

The Real War on Women: Saudi Court Sentences Gang Rape Victim to 200 Lashes And Custodial Sentence,” by A.B. Sanderson
Excerpt: The victim of a violent gang rape has been sentenced by a Saudi Arabian court to 200 lashes and six months in jail for the crimes of speaking to the press and indecency.
According to Sharia Law, a Saudi Arabian woman must be accompanied by a male guardian at all times in public, something the 19 year old victim did not obey when she went to meet a friend, according to website Live Buddhism. While in a car with a student friend, retrieving a picture, two men got into the vehicle and drove them to a secluded area. She said she was raped there by seven men, three of whom also attacked her friend. (Our moderate Saudi allies. Obama bows to this? ~Bob)

Excerpt: More than 100 prisoners released from Guantanamo Bay went right back to being terrorists when they got out, according to a new report. Out of 647 detainees who were released, 116 — or 18 percent — have been confirmed as “re-engaging” in terrorism, according to the report by the Director of National Intelligence.
Of those, 25 are dead and 23 are back behind bars.

CENTCOM exercise aims to strengthen military ties with Kuwait. By Hendrick Simoes
Excerpt: As some 700 Marines from the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit wrapped up a month of training in Kuwait and returned to ship Sunday, Kuwaiti and U.S. officials were finalizing a large-scale U.S. Central Command exercise later this month in the Persian Gulf state. The Marines embarked on the amphibious transport dock USS New York conducted weapons training and live-fire exercises. The exercise scheduled later this month — called Eagle Resolve — will involve all countries participating in Inherent Resolve, the mission against Islamic State militants in Iraq and Syria.

IS Attacks Christian Villages in Northeastern Syria
Excerpt: Islamic State militants attacked a string of predominantly Christian villages in northeastern Syria on Saturday, touching off heavy clashes with Kurdish militiamen and their local allies, activists said. The attack began around dawn and targeted at least three villages near the town of Tal Tamr along the Khabur River in Hassakeh province. The Islamic State group kidnapped more than 220 Assyrian Christians from the same area last month after overrunning several farming communities on the southern bank of the river.

List of Terrorist Attacks
Excerpt: This list of terrorist attacks committed by Muslims since 9/11/01 (a rate of about five a day) is incomplete because not all such attacks are picked up by international news sources, even those resulting in multiple loss of life. These are not incidents of ordinary crime involving nominal Muslims killing for money or vendetta. We only include incidents of deadly violence that are reasonably determined to have been committed out of religious duty - as interpreted by the perpetrator. Islam needs to be a motive, but it need not be the only factor.

Excerpt: Recently released files recovered in Osama bin Laden’s compound show that parts of the Pakistani government made attempts to negotiate with al Qaeda in 2010. The letters were released as evidence in the trial of Abid Naseer, who was convicted on terrorism charges by a Brooklyn jury earlier this month. One of the files is a letter written by Atiyah Abd al Rahman (“Mahmud”), who was then the general manager of al Qaeda, to Osama bin Laden (identified as Sheikh Abu Abdallah) in July 2010. The letter reveals a complicated game involving al Qaeda, the Pakistani Taliban, the brother of Pakistan’s current prime minister, and Pakistan’s intelligence service.

Excerpt: The “Soumar” has a range of 2500km, posing a serious threat to any vessels sailing in the Persian Gulf, particularly US naval forces, as well as an array of countries which are distant from Iran. Its design is based on a Soviet missile, similar to one stolen from Ukraine 12 years ago which made its way to Iran from the Chinese.

Excerpt: The Islamic State appears to be starting to fray from within, as dissent, defections and setbacks on the battlefield sap the group’s strength and erode its aura of invincibility among those living under its despotic rule. Reports of rising tensions between foreign and local fighters, aggressive and increasingly unsuccessful attempts to recruit local citizens for the front lines, and a growing incidence of guerrilla attacks against Islamic State targets suggest the militants are struggling to sustain their carefully cultivated image as a fearsome fighting force drawing Muslims together under the umbrella of a utopian Islamic state. (I sure hope all of this is factual, and that it continues to just get worse. The graphic showing the estimates of people who have come from around the world to fight for ISIS is extremely interesting. That is a lot of people! Many of them from comparatively poor countries, so I wonder how they manage to get the airfare to get there at all. But possibly the income that ISIS got from robbing banks and selling oil has let them finance travel for people. One thing about claims to have the backing of Allah in your endeavors is that you need to get successful and stay successful for other Muslims to decide you are right and they should join you. Once ISIS really starts to take major hits and lose territory, the flow of people to come to them will rapidly choke off. The battle for Tikrit now ongoing is an important one. If the Iraqis do manage to drive the fanatics out of the city completely, it will be a double victory, both getting the city back and smashing the idea of ISIS invincibility. Let's hope they pull it off. --Del)

Excerpt: Eight dead bodies hang from a metal frame in the Iraq's Kirkuk province in Islamic State's latest public display of barbarity. The gruesome images which emerged on social media show the men's limp bodies suspended from their feet off a tall structure in the town of Hawija. The notorious black flag used by Islamist groups like ISIS is displayed above them as horrified onlookers inspect the scene. Some of the deceased men appear to be wearing military fatigues but it is not known if they were Iraqi soldiers.

Excerpt: A 17 year old army cadet has chosen to defy terrorist threats by wearing her cadet uniform to and from school. All police and military personnel, including members of the combined cadet force, have been advised not to wear their uniforms in public thanks to the increased risk of attack from Islamic militants.
