Time For Obama Administration To “Grow Up!” They Are Trying To Punish Fox. By Greta Van Susteren

Trying to put a price tag on access — either a news organization plays ball and accepts what they dish out without challenge, or the news organization is excluded, punished. (Folks, consider this: If Fox News were lying or making things up about our easily offended White House resident, then the best thing they could do in a news conference would be to show the rest of the reporters present just how they are doing this. They could easily call them out for misrepresenting them if the WH spokesperson told Fox one thing and Fox distorted what they said. Inviting Fox News would nip that problem in the bud. But distortion of Obama's statements by Fox is not the problem, is it? To be perfectly clear, if the White House is being truthful, it behooves them to invite Fox to press conferences and make them play straight. On the other hand, if the WH is saying self-contradictory things or telling obvious lies, then the cheerleaders in the press (mainstream media) are the only safe reporters to invite because they won't mention the lies or contradictions in the WH statement. After all, one or two of the slow-witted MSM reps may start to wake up to the truth. Can't have that now, can we? I think we all know what is going on here. --Don Hank)

The Movement of the Taliban in Pakistan claimed credit for a suicide attack in Rawalpindi that killed 12 people as well as two bombings in Karachi that killed two more. The attacks in both cities, which took place yesterday, targeted imambargahs, or congregation halls for Shia worshippers.

Will Obama Allow Americans to Practice Catholicism? No!
Excerpt: "Catholicism teaches that it is a sin to use, provide, or otherwise support contraception. These words are not from the Catholic Catechism or a sermon by a Catholic bishop. They are excerpted from the preliminary injunction U.S. District Judge Robert H. Cleland issued last month temporarily stopping the Obama administration from forcing a family-owned outdoor-power-equipment company to comply with an Obamacare regulation that requires virtually all health care plans to provide women (but not men) with co-pay-free coverage for sterilizations, contraceptives and abortion-inducing drugs. (OK, what's really dumb about this is that the Obama Administration has already granted well over 1000 exemptions from ObamaCare to various businesses and organizations (e.g. unions), so clearly they aren't fanatically applying the law to everyone. So why in the world pick on a religion, and a pretty large one at that, when you know before you even start that it will bring out tremendous opposition, based on freedom of conscience for those of that religion? Yes, many Catholics don't observe the letter of that tenet of the Faith, but that is not the point. The Church as an organization must act out its own precepts, and individuals who interpret their role in the Faith as requiring their compliance deserve protection. Some Jews eat pork products, many don't keep kosher, but would the government force all Jews to eat pork? Would the government force Muslim restaurants to serve pork? Or halal restaurants to serve non-halal meat? This is deliberately picking a fight with the Catholic Church, but of course it's a warning to all other religions as well. If the government succeeds in imposing this on Catholics, what will stop them from other forms of attack on other denominations? We've had one judge come down on the side of religious freedom, now we need more of them in courts across the country to follow his example. This will end up in front of the Supreme Court, it's only a matter of time. And either they support the Church, or if not, then the answer will be for all Catholic institutions to stop providing any health insurance, or maybe for all the Catholic hospitals and nursing home to close their doors and dump their load on the rest of the already overloaded system. Wouldn't that be a mess? But I have a lot of hope that the Supremes will rule for the Church, and that is a setback this Administration needs very badly. --Del)

Blacks who didn't get the memo about post-racial USA
There have been so many shootings and break-ins in the York, Harrisburg, Lancaster area over the last 6 months .... it's terrible. Just a few days ago a lady clerk at a Hess Gas Station in Mechanicsburg was shot and killed by one of 4 blacks who were involved in a robbery attempt. Fortunately by way of a tip the police have them in custody.
(For years I have read emails from friends smugly saying that Europe got what they asked for. As if there were no good people there who ever resisted the destructive agenda of the elites, and as if God would always protect us from our own stupidity. Now we are in the same boat, headed for Niagara Falls. We can no longer afford to be smug about any country whose people have lost their sovereignty. Instead we need to understand that it can happen to anyone, and join hands with freedom fighters everywhere resisting our Western traitors. The Trayvon Martin story, supposedly about an innocent black boy gunned down by a white supremacist fanatic, was a total inversion of the truth, part of an effort to take your guns. Likewise, Fast and Furious was a government scam to make it seems as if gun sales supports Mexican cartels (and therefore must be banned), when in fact, it was Obama-appointed Eric Holder's own Justice Department that was selling the guns and wreaking the havoc--just like the Nazis' burning of the Reichstag and blaming it on their opposition. The real story is that government kills, not people and not guns. We saw that in the Middle East when Christians and other minorities began to be exterminated after each 'successful' Western intervention--Iraq, Egypt, Libya, Ivory Coast, etc. And now Syria appears to be in their sights. If the Obama administration has its way, we will be sitting ducks--sort of like Israel, now that it has caved in the Western powers. That company contracts with airlines for sky caps, cabin cleaners and security workers. In protest, SEIU brought in 1,000 union workers to block the two main entrances at LAX. SEIU claims the vote was illegal and that Aviation Safeguards is not paying a living wage under city ordinance.

So I wake up Tuesday, November 13, and there’s a little snow on the ground, cars and roofs in my neighborhood. Looks like a bad winter, which, like last year’s mild winter, will “prove” to the warmists that the middle class needs to suffer unemployment and the poor deprivation so they can feel all green and fuzzy in their mansions and private jets.

Who to blame?
Actually, I’ve been thinking about “who to blame” for several days. I’ve come up with only one name: Colin Powell. No other single decision I can think of in the last 30 years would have had the impact on voting blocks that Powell’s decision not to run in 1996 carried with it. In my heart, I believe he personally made the difference between the parties as extreme as it now is and worse, locked that extremity in place for the foreseeable future.
Bear in mind that when his autobiography, My American Life, came out in late 1995, he was one of the most respected men in the country. His credibility was MUCH greater than that of any of the politicians he’d have had to run against, especially that of the Clintons. No one could’ve accused him of being an affirmative action candidate as he’d so thoroughly and publicly earned it. And, he was a self-proclaimed “moderate Republican,” and no one had any reason to doubt it.
Had Powell run for the Presidency in 1996 as a Republican, the nomination would have been his for the asking. Winning might’ve been a bit more difficult, but it could’ve been done. Most important, though, is that he’d have split the Democratic party away from its second most reliable block, African-Americans. America’s “First Black President,” Bill Clinton might’ve prevailed in the election, but only by trashing Powell—and thereby alienating a very large number of Black voters. Who then would’ve returned to their roots as Republicans or at worst, as Independents no longer guaranteed to vote “D.”
Powell’s running would’ve given permission to Blacks to be or become Republicans without becoming outcasts within their own communities. The Black vote for Obama was WAY over 90% in both 2008 and 2012. How much of a change would it have taken to elect either McCain or Romney? I think as little as a 15% difference in the Black vote might’ve done that. I believe Powell’s running could’ve split off at least that much.
Sadly, while I can see why Colin Powell is to blame for our current woes, the simple truth is if I’d been him, I wouldn’t have run either. Only a madman would purposely expose himself to the kind of abuse we subject our candidates for high office to. And Powell was never a madman. None of which changes the impact of his decision. -- Ron Pittenger

I post articles because I think they are of interest and will stimulate thought and discussion. Doing so doesn’t mean that I necessarily agree (or disagree) with every—or any—opinion in the posted article, or that I was able to verify the information presented, which is the responsibility of the author. I try not to post things that are false, or too far a stretch, regardless of the view point, but I don’t always succeed. As always on the Net, or in the legacy media, you must read critically and with skepticism.

I’d be careful about joining a lot of the conspiracy theories I get sent. They make conservatives look silly when they don’t pan out, and waste effort. Doesn’t mean we shouldn’t follow them, and review any real evidence. Just approach with skepticism. ~Bob

I see you are still featuring pieces accusing the Democrats of stealing the election. Honestly, after Nixon used back channels to delay the Paris peace talks in 1968 and Reagan delayed hostage release in 1980 and Bush stole the election in Florida in 2000 and Diebolted it in Ohio in 2004 and the Republicans made massive attempts at voter suppression this year before they were slapped down by the courts, you would think your party would at least take defeat like men. The GOP now stands for Grumpy Old Paranoids. –PLM (He should see the stuff I don’t include! To be clear, while I think there was a lot of fraud, which Democrats support because it has always helped them since Tammany Hall days, I don’t personally think it changed the election. When the American economy crashes, so will the world economy. More significantly, with the US military unable to provide global stability, conflict will flare around the world. I won't call it a world war, because I don't see anyone with the wherewithal to send occupation troops half way around the world, as the Allies did in WWII.
