Excerpt: Neither side ever steps back and thinks maybe it shouldn’t take the next step because if it doesn’t take the next step, it loses. The tit for tat eventually takes the nation to the brink where the two major party choices are Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. But neither side can help itself because neither side is willing or even able to declare a time out and walk back from the brink.

This is why the founders were suspicious of political parties. This is why the Founders wanted checks and balances. And this is why the federal judicial system really has to be reined in. But it cannot be reined in because that would mean both sides would have to fight at the state level and embrace federalism and differences an heterogenous cultures spread out across the nation.

So Campaign 2016 is not as bad as it will get. It is the beginning of it getting worse.
