What could go wrong? They can start over giving out political loans to favored groups who can’t pay, getting big bonuses for political-appointed executives like Franklin Raines. Democrat Congressmen can promise us that it won’t cost taxpayers a nickel, just like they did before. That will create a new housing bubble, as demand from people who can’t pay goes up. Working folks (like us) who buy at the top of the bubble will get creamed, but the Democrat Congressmen will get re-elected by the groups this gives cheap housing to. Then when it crashes, the rest of us can pay more to “keep people in their homes.” Gotta love it.
