Bob’s New England Cranberry Sauce

1 bag (about 3 cups cranberries or 16 oz.)
1 cup maple syrup
1 cup water
1 tsp nutmeg
½ tsp. Cinnamon
1 cup chopped nuts
1 cup golden raisins
1 can mandarin orange slices

Rinse berries, discarding any soft ones. Put berries, syrup, water & spices in pot and bring to boil. Boil until the berries start to pop then about ten minutes longer. Add raisins and nuts. Should be thick. After it cools, drain orange slices & add. Serve chilled.
