For 25 minutes, the victim—bound and with duct tape across his mouth, terror visible in his eyes—was verbally abused, threatened, and cut with a knife. The attackers, all of whom were black, berated their victim for being white and routinely spouted profanities about “white people” and President-elect Donald Trump. This sickening and remorseless display inspired in some not revulsion but a frenetic effort to prevent the country from reaching inconvenient deductions about the episode. By 6 a.m. Chicago time, local police cautioned reporters that it was too early to determine whether the attack had any racial motive. By 7:45, however, police were certain that there was no racial motive and that the man who was abducted from a local McDonalds was targeted only because he had a learning disability. Investigators believe that the victim knew one of his attackers from high school, and may have accompanied his tormenters willingly. To claim, however, that there was no racial element to a video in which a white man is tortured and berated about his skin color while his attackers shout epithets about white people and the Caucasian president-elect beggars belief.

When a guy admits to shooting a sixth grader on a playground as a goof, you have to walk away. Forget the quaint, secular notion that everybody deserves a defense for a second and actually hear what the guy is admitting to and rightly take a pass. And if anybody upbraids you about not upholding your constitutional duty or some crap like that, just tell them you were temporarily insane when you passed on the case.

Instead of relying on more sanctions to dismantle or renegotiate the deal, the most urgent need is restoring U.S. credibility and resolve in opposing Iranian aggression and reshaping the Middle East. Two fundamental misjudgments led to the disastrous nuclear agreement. First, Mr. Obama eschewed credible military threats and relied on congressionally generated economic sanctions to pressure Iran to negotiate. Second, he focused only on Iran’s nuclear program, ignoring its malignant regional misconduct. Free of pressure and scrutiny, Tehran shaped the agreement’s terms and expanded its aggression and influence. The current policy debate has ignored these mistakes. Instead, it is focused on using sanctions to enforce and improve the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action with Iran. This narrow approach is counterproductive. The agreement front-loaded Iran’s economic benefits. But it only mothballed elements of its nuclear program; it did not eradicate it.

But nearly all Germans willingly acquiesced the idea of Aryan superiority or actively participated in the "Final Solution." Two generations later, out of some sense of guilt but also because of the widespread idea that all cultures are equal, German is swamping itself with an alien culture that rejects assimilation. Below is a translation of the German article from Dortmund. You can find some English versions if you do a search, but I wanted to go to the source. The translation is a bit rough, machine translations always are, but it's clear enough what happened. A mob of 1000+ young male "immigrants" from North Africa (that means mostly the Arab states there) showed up, got very rowdy, confronted the police, started throwing fireworks around, cops started seizing the aggressive ones but things didn't go well. Finally the roof of the oldest church in Germany caught fire. The comments that were under the article were critical of the way things were handled, in Cologne the cops had a huge presence and still had to arrest a bunch of people, but kept control. But in Dortmund there just weren't enough cops to really dominate the situation, at least not with the weapons they had. (Maybe it's time for tanks with water cannon and some mounted machine guns?) This is not helping things calm down in Germany, but the politicians are still trying to hold a lid on it all. And everyone who complains is labeled Far Right, which is pretty stupid at this point. The tempo abroad in the last eight years would suggest that the answer is no: half a million dead in Syria, over a million young Muslim men flooding into Europe, an Iraq in ruins (though Biden once bragged it would be the Obama administration’s “greatest achievement”), the Benghazi catastrophe, North Africa a wasteland and terrorist incubator, Israel and the Gulf states estranged from America, Iran empowered and soon to be nuclear, Russia hell-bent on humiliating the U.S., China quietly forming its own updated Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere, an impoverished Cuba and much of Latin America gnawing the limp wrist of U.S. outreach, and the European Union gradually imploding.
