I appreciate the dozens of people who send me items for this blog. There simply would be enough hours in the day to produce it without you, even if I had no other obligations. I apologize to those who didn’t get in. I tend to skip items that are too intemperate as they help the left by making us look bad, including most conspiracies theories, unless documented beyond question by independent sources. If you just send a link to a video, with no copy, it’s unlikely I have time to open it. I also tend to use only a few item about a particular story, though things with many facets, like the IRS scandal, are an exception. I am looking for political news, including economic or international items, and good opinions of conservative thought. Items without a URL seldom get used, as I don’t have time to search for them. Your best chance of seeing an item on the blog is to submit it formatted, as below. ~Bob

What Happened to Just Quitting?

For readers who aren’t fans of Tom Clancy novels, it should be pointed out that he “predicted” the gathering of metadata in his book “Teeth of the Tiger,” back in 2003 and reinforced the idea in 2010 with “Dead or Alive.” How, one wonders, did he get so prescient? He read the Patriot Act. We Americans—along with everyone else in the world (you didn’t think OUR government was the only one doing it, did you?)—have little privacy anymore. How should we deal with that? Very carefully. Have minimal cameras that can be remotely activated. Keep your mouth shut and your typing fingers idle.
