Uprising: 90% of Virginia counties become gun ‘sanctuaries,' expanding movement to nine states
This is beautiful. And the best part of it is, how can anyone condemn this, after all, cities and states have been defying federal law as "sanctuaries" for illegals for at least 15 years now, probably longer. If it was OK for those people or their leaders to declare themselves beyond the control of the laws due to their special "conscience", then it's OK for others to also have their own consciences on what they consider to be inappropriate or unjust laws that affect them. And no one in a state government with the tiniest shred of sanity is going to tell their National Guard units or their State Police to load their weapons and start going after citizens who are defying the firearms regulations. It'd be like sending the Redcoats to Concord to seize the weapons and powder there, and that didn't work out well. Except the Redcoats were not officered by colonists, were not colonists themselves, did not have relatives and friends among the colonists. VA National Guard and State Police are American citizens, with officers who are citizens, and relatives and friends who are citizens, and some state bureaucrat ordering them to go into the towns and counties to arrest gun owners is going to force those soldiers and officers to decide where their real moral duty lies. I have a lot of confidence that most of them will decide it does not lie with obeying any such orders, and everyone will stand down. And for those who aren't concerned with moral duty, the prospect of going after masses of people who own guns and are ready to resist their seizure may make them consider that going into a firefight with bunches of angry citizens is not likely to be any fun at all. Maybe even dangerous, especially when some of those angry citizens are active or former military or law enforcement. The "progressives" have gone on with their PC BS for a long time now, but at long last they have saturated the people with this nonsense, and now there is a new kind of "woke". That's the waking of regular people to the arrogance and threat of the elite, and more of us are reaching out limits. It's time to say, loud and clear, ENOUGH, back off now! --Del
