Horowitz report is damning for the FBI and unsettling for the rest of us
Prof. Turley provides simple analysis of what's not so great about the Horowitz report. Basically, sure it was OK to start looking, as it was OK for Mueller to start looking. In Mueller's case, they found the Russian interference was there for real, OK, nice to know, but that there was no trace of involvement by Trump in it. In this more recent investigation, they found out very quickly that there were massive problems with how the FBI went after the FISA warrants, no fewer than 17 really serious deviations from proper procedures, which means they should have shut this down early and just said it was a mess, with enough of a pattern in it that political motivation certainly could not be ruled out. But they didn't shut it down and they waffled on possible intent in the face of a pattern that almost anyone can see was there. That Turley comes out for the truth again, already vilified for his honest input about the impeachment circus (with threats to himself, his wife, his dog), is remarkable. I respect this man more and more. And remember- he is no fan of Donald Trump! Just an honest man. --Del
