This is an
old book I got interested in having finished the excellent “Liberation Trilogy.”
Summersby was Ike’s driver through North Africa into Overlord and
Europe. It has a very interesting view of the times. The writing is exceptional,
and she has class, grace, and courage. It gives a more human aspect to Ike, not
that he had feet of clay, but that he was a man doing the most difficult and
stressful job in the world. It’s hard to believe she wrote so well while dying
of cancer. An exceptional memoir.

I\m late
to the party reviewing this, but wanted to find out what all the hype was about.
This is a first novel by an exceptional writer. I hope she writes more fiction.
It is a murder mystery and a lovely coming of age story skillfully combined.
You can’t help but find yourself pulling for the heroine. If you are one of the
few who haven’t read this, do yourself a favor.

I followed
up reading the excellent “Liberation Trilogy” white wanting to know more how
the men for fought and won WWII felt and thought about that dreadful cataclysm.
There are other books for grand strategy and generals. This will put you with
these men. Too fee today could do what they did. I recommend reading it.
