Abandoned Allies and the Lessons We Still Need to Learn. By Michael Benge
It's time to live up to responsiblities we have for those who fought alongside us. In the overall shame of abandoning South Viet Nam, perhaps the worst sufferers of all were the hill tribes called the Montagnards, and their brutal persecution, essentially genocide in Laos, goes on. The least we can do is give those who escape refugee status. They come, adapt, become good citizens, which is more than we can say about others who find their way here. --Del
