Counted the pills I take daily now. Every day I take at
least 31, but it varies with as many as 25 more. The extras are because some are
only three days a week, one of the steroids comes in 1 mg or 0.5 mg, depending
on the dose I'm taking, so right now I take either 6 or 12 a day.. There are
some PRN pills. Eleven of the types are vitamins, Tylenol, Mucinex, Claritin,
etc that are OTC. The others are scripts. I've turned into my grandmother. In
fact, I've out did her in pills. Then there are two-a-days: FEV numbers on the
spirometer, temp, nose spray, Neti pot, Metamucil. Plus once daily weight,
blood sugar, nasty drink. And PT rehab three times a week. But I'm still here! ~Bob

This well-written, entertaining and very funny book was
written by a British Bobby, PC Stuart Davidson, formerly of the Staffordshire Police,
about 'Newtown ' (actually Burton upon Trent). He had to do his blog, on
which this book and a sequel Wasting More
Police Time, are based, under a pen name to protect his job. Eventually the
brass figured out who he was, but by then he had had a job line up in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada ,

It was recommended by British psychiatrist Anthony Daniels (writing as Theodore
Dalrymple). Daniels was carrying a copy when he ran into two plainclothes
officers. They told him it was a great book. He asked how much was true.
"Every word," they replied. This is policing in progressive Britain , where
the Bobbies spend 90% of their time doing paperwork to CYA senior officers,
filing administrative "detections," and enforcing political
correctness, diversity and multiculturalism. The rest they get to spend
catching bad guy who get slapped on the wrist or ever in preventing crime. It
is a cautionary tale for us. Well worth your time.

The second reason is that unemployment numbers are pure BS;
we all know it and so too does science: This problem dates back to a 1994 redesign
of the survey when it went from paper-based to computer-based, although neither
the researchers nor anyone else has been able to offer a reason for why the
redesign has affected the numbers. What the researchers found was that,
for whatever reason, unemployed workers, who are surveyed multiple times are
most likely to respond to the survey when they are first given it and ignore

people who once would have been designated as officially unemployed but today
are labeled as out of the labor force, which means they are neither working nor
