Good
Column: The Office Of President - An
Objective Opinion. By Andy Weddington
Excerpt:
Make no mistake, the public oath of office swearing allegiance to country
reigns over self and political party loyalty.
(WWP) Wounded
Warriors Is A Fraud
The link to the article I posted yesterday didn't work.
Here's a different article with much of the same info. ~Bob. Excerpt:
We have personally investigated Wounded Warriors and what we have learned is
very disturbing. They advertise heavily on T.V. and if you pay close attention
they do not show one actual thing they have done to help a Wounded Warrior. They
show pictures and stories of Wounded Warriors and use them as a heart tugging way
to solicit donations.
Good Chicago Tribune Editorial: Truth, consequences and
Obamacare
Excerpt: The American public is having a
credibility-shattering debate about the president: Did he not bother to learn
the details of the law before he told us we could keep our doctors and our
insurance, or did he know the truth and flat-out lie?
Obama announces
change to address health insurance cancellations
Excerpt: President Obama announced Thursday an
administrative change in one of the bedrock ideas of the new health-care law,
allowing insurers to continue offering individual insurance plans for another year
even if they do not comply with the law’s rules for minimum benefits. (I think
it will be hard or impossible for the companies to restore cancelled
plans--then Obama will blame them. ~Bob)
In Obama we trust? Americans don’t see it that way anymore
— in two charts. By Sean Sullivan
http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/the-fix/wp/2013/11/13/in-obama-we-trust-americans-dont-see-it-that-way-anymore-in-two-charts/?wpisrc=nl_pmpol
Excerpt: President Obama has a trust problem. New polling
data released this week show that one of Obama’s long-held political assets is
looking more like a liability these days. Americans’ trust in the president has
eroded to record low levels amid a torrent of criticism about the rollout of
the federal health-care law, including the revelation that
his long-standing refrain that all Americans can keep their health plans
if they want isn’t accurate. Two charts tell the story.
Only 106,185 Enroll
in Health Insurance Nationwide Using Marketplaces
Excerpt: Those numbers include people who selected a plan,
but might not have yet paid their first month's premium, the administration
said. (USA Today's Headline: Shocking Shortfall. I wonder how many of them are
healthy young people? ~Bob)
The Best Insurance
Policy? From The Patriot Post
Obama wants you to cling to government, but Americans are
clinging to their guns instead. According to statistics from the FBI, there
were 1,687,599 firearms background checks processed through the National
Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) during the month of October.
Compare this to the 106,185 individuals who are rumored to have enrolled
through O'Care's federal exchange. That's a 15:1 ratio. Indeed, the Second
Amendment is the best insurance policy!
Calif. Insurance
Commissioner: More Than 1M Californians Having Insurance Cancelled Due
To ACA
Excerpt: Health insurer Anthem Blue Cross of California has
agreed to a two-month extension of about 104,000 individual policies after
failing to give the required 90-day cancellation notice, state Insurance
Commissioner Dave Jones announced Tuesday.
To Speak To A
Nigerian Prince About Your Health Care, Press '1' Now. By Ann Coulter
Excerpt: In a weird confluence of the nation's two most
pressing issues -- Obamacare and our insane immigration laws -- this week we
found out that the tens of thousands of "navigators" hired by the
government to enroll people in Obamacare will include convicted
felons. Despite some "navigators" having already been exposed as
having arrest warrants against them, the Department of Health and Human
Services (HHS) has no plans to screen out the criminals. (But rest assured: If
your identity is stolen as a result of trying to sign up for Obamacare, no one
will be more upset about it than President Obama.)
House Democrats Have
Lost Their Patience With The White House Over Obamacare
Excerpt: “The frustration is they are setting up deadlines
they know they can’t meet. They are not going to meet the Nov. 30 deadline, I
would bet anything on that. If I had a farm I’d bet the farm on that,” said
Virginia Rep. Jim Moran. (D-Tea Party?) Moran also faulted the president for
promising that Americans could keep their health care plans, arguing that it
put Democrats in a difficult spot. He claimed that House Democrats did not make
such promises, although many, in fact, did repeatedly before and after the
health care law passed.
Excerpt: If you can’t take some joy, some modicum of relief
and mirth, in the unprecedentedly spectacular beclowning of the president, his
administration, its enablers, and, to no small degree, liberalism itself, then
you need to ask yourself why you’re following politics in the first place.
Because, frankly, this has been one of the most enjoyable political moments of
my lifetime. I wake up in the morning and rush to find my just-delivered
newspaper with a joyful expectation of worsening news so intense, I feel like
Morgan Freeman should be narrating my trek to the front lawn. Indeed, not since
Dan Rather handcuffed himself to a fraudulent typewriter, hurled it into the
abyss, and saw his career plummet like Ted Kennedy was behind the wheel have I
enjoyed a story more.
John Cornyn: End the Obamacare Navigator Program
Immediately. By Katie Pavlich
Excerpt: Republicans and Democrats have been warning for
months about the potential for Obamacare navigator fraud. Two weeks ago, Health
and Human Services Secretary admitted under oath during congressional testimony
that it is possible for convicted felons to become employed as Obamacare
navigators handling sensitive health and personal information.
Al Gore’s Firm Poised
To Cash In On Obamacare Debacle
On Tuesday, Government Accountability Institute (GAI) President
and Breitbart News Senior Editor-at-Large Peter Schweizer appeared on Fox
& Friends and revealed that former Vice President Al Gore and other
Obama cronies are cashing in on the Obamacare debacle. In 2004, David Blood and
former Vice President Al Gore co-founded Generation Investment Management.
Schweizer says despite the perception that Gore’s investments are all green
energy-related, Blood and Gore’s investment portfolio is currently comprised of
27% health care investments and stands poised to score big from Obamacare. (Per
article, Mr. Blood an Obama bundler. --Barb)
NYT: Obama’s lies are
merely ‘incorrect promises’
Excerpt: From the newspaper that brought us the immortal
phrase “Fake But Accurate” to describe a lie told about the
president of the United States ,
here’s a great euphemism for a lie told by the president of the United States . Michael D. Shear and Robert Pear, NYT:… It was an incorrect
promise. He made a promise, but it turned out to be incorrect. (Taquiyya. --Barb. I'd like to borrow $50k from the NYT and I'll
incorrectly promise to pay it back. ~Bob)
Obama’s Obamacare
Mandate Delay
Excerpt: According to Harry Reid, this move by Obama (the
legality of which is questionable) is “working to fix and improve”
Obamacare. Really? Last month, when Republicans offered the exact same
proposal as a compromise to end the shutdown, Obama and Reid refused, and
chose not to negotiate.
The Obamacare model
is a Latino immigrant
Excerpt: The woman, whose first name is Adriana, is a Columbian
legal immigrant living in Maryland .
ABC News detailed how she became the face of the website: Seeking
free family photographs, Adriana emailed a contact at the Center for Medicare
and Medicaid Services, the agency responsible for the Affordable Care Act’s
rollout, about having photos of her and her family taken in exchange for
allowing the photos to be used to market the new health care law. She was never
paid. (Not sure why people care about this. not policy related. ~Bob)
Two Secret Service
agents cut from Obama’s detail after alleged misconduct
Excerpt: A call from the Hay-Adams hotel this past spring
reporting that a Secret Service agent was trying to force his way into a
woman’s room set in motion an internal investigation that has sent tremors
through an agency still trying to restore its elite reputation.
Hagel Says Cuts to
Pay and Benefits are Needed
Excerpt: Defense Secretary Chuck
Hagel warned Tuesday that troops and their families will be asked to sacrifice
on pay and benefits to preserve readiness in an era of tighter budgets. (Great
idea, Chuck. Just what we need to really get our military in top shape, and
reward those who safeguard us all. I can't believe this bit of real stupidity.

Watch the Video: New Jersey Teens come up with a new game
called "Knockout"
We have been hearing about "The Knockout Game" for
a couple of years now. Apparently it is spreading. Watch the video from a news
broadcast, and be prepared to be shocked and dismayed. Not just when you see
the violence, but when you hear the kids talking with big smiles about the game
and what fun it is. This is how barbarism has crept into parts of our society. This
has been going on for way more than long enough that we should be seeing Black
leaders all over the country making speeches and delivering sermons condemning
it, but so far there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of that. Do we wonder that
race relations in the country are now really worse than they were 5 years ago?

Has the Government
Competence Bubble Finally Burst? Or the Government Cares Bubble?
Excerpt: I remember how the critics attacked George Bush and
his administration after the FEMA response to Hurricane Katrina. Much of the
anger was probably deserved.
Americans’ personal
data shared with CIA, IRS, others in security probe
Excerpt: U.S.
agencies collected and shared the personal information of thousands of
Americans in an attempt to root out untrustworthy federal workers that ended up
scrutinizing people who had no direct ties to the U.S. government and simply had
purchased certain books. (Catcher in the Rye ?

Intelligence Warnings
On Benghazi
Were Loud And Clear
http://news.investors.com/ibd-editorials-viewpoint/111213-678928-three-key-reports-flagged-dangers-at-benghazi.htm
http://news.investors.com/ibd-editorials-viewpoint/111213-678928-three-key-reports-flagged-dangers-at-benghazi.htm
Excerpt: Months before the murder of a U.S. ambassador in Benghazi , American intelligence analysts
documented a massive al-Qaida rally a few miles from the ambassador's
residence. At that rally, terror leaders called for the murder of American
diplomats. Three U.S.
intelligence reports, unearthed by the American Media Institute and detailed
here for the first time, offer vivid descriptions of the al-Qaida meeting. (But
nobody in the DC ranks of power wanted to see it. There are none so blind as
those who WILL NOT see. --Del )
Vanishing Lead Of
N.C. Pro-ObamaCare Senator Bad Omen For Democrats
Excerpt: Just a month ago, when Democrats were mau-mauing
Republicans over the government shutdown, it looked as though they'd make gains
in the 2014 midterms. Oh, how the worm turns.
ObamaCare has become a huge liability for Democrats, and it
might just cost them the Senate.
They pretend the disastrous new government program they
crammed down the public's throat is not a problem for them. (How Sweet It
Is....That was the old Jackie Gleason exclamation when things finally went his
way. And for those of us unhappy with Obamacare and the Liberals in general,
the news about what's happening to the Democrats who were so supportive of it
is so nice to hear. We want to watch again the news conference with Hagan
choking and stammering about what had been promised, and listen to the
newscasters talking about the swing in the voters. The only bad thing is that
next November is so far away. If that election were held tomorrow, there's
be changes in the makeup of Congress for sure. But if Obamacare remains a train
wreck for the next six months, which is likely, next November will be close
enough. --Del )
Excerpt: The Obama administration apparently has tired of
the global order that American power created. The president seems determined
that America
should become unexceptional, and his five-year-long efforts are now bearing
fruit. The result is that no one knows where global violence will break out
next, much less who will stop it.
Excerpt: Okay, you people. I'm going to do you all a huge
favor. As the holidays approach your sometimes cynical hearts melt like a
Hershey bar on the dash board. And you read about the needs of your fellow
man...and you don't know what charities are eating up your donation with
administrative costs, or whom you are really helping, even the guy with the
sign on the side of the road. Well, I'm gonna give you a good cause and I'm
gonna ask you to put your trust in me and donate what you can afford to a fellow
and his wife who had their house burned down last night. Their names are Jerry
and Betty Craddock from Minco ,
Oklahoma . They are the Uncle and
Aunt of my dear cousin Tammy who spends most of her waking hours donating her
time and money to schools, her church, Ronald McDonald House and Oklahoma hurricane
victims. Last night Jerry and Betty's house caught on fire and they lost
everything. They didn't have insurance. .. So I'm doing you all a great favor;
I'm giving you a good cause to donate to. And I don't want you to give till it
hurts; if you can't afford to buy a t-shirt, please put two bucks in an
envelope and send it to Tammy Jameson Fouch, 1006 SW Maple Minco, Oklahoma 73059
Excerpt: While the country is immersed in Obamacare
headlines and a congressional tussle over delays and mandates, the Obama
administration is stealthily moving toward unprecedented control over private
property under a massive expansion of the Environmental Protection Agency’s
Clean Water Act authority. The proposed rule, obtained by the House Science,
Space, and Technology Committee in advance of EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy’s
testimony at a Thursday oversight hearing, widely broadens the
definition of waterways over which the federal government has jurisdiction to
as little as a water ditch in a backyard. The Clean Water Act redefinition of
“waters of the United
States ” would include all ponds, lakes,
wetlands and natural or manmade streams that have any effect on downstream
navigable waters — whether on public lands or private property.
Details emerge about
Americans badly injured in Benghazi attack
Excerpt: In addition to the four Americans killed in
the Benghazi terror
attack last year, at least two other Americans were severely injured in the
fighting that night, Fox News has learned. The injuries were sustained
by U.S. personnel
after mortars struck the CIA annex rooftop they were defending. Fox News is
told that one former government contractor -- who is expected to testify this
week along with four other contractors in classified sessions on Capitol Hill
-- has had multiple surgeries since the attack and has still not regained full
use of one arm.
Rep. Olson Introduces
Articles Of Impeachment Against Eric Holder
Excerpt: Rep. Pete Olson (R-TX) has introduced an Articles
of Impeachment resolution against Attorney General Eric Holder for his role in
Operation Fast and Furious and other scandals of President Barack Obama’s
administration. Seven congressman have signed onto the resolution thus far in
addition to Olson. They are Reps. Larry Bucshon (R-IN), Blake Farenthold (R-TX),
Phil Roe (R-TN), Lynn Westmoreland (R-GA), Roger Williams (R-TX), Ted Yoho
(R-FL), and Randy Weber (R-TX). (Unless 20 Democrat Senators will vote for it,
waste of time and energy. ~Bob)
DHS has a month to release ‘Internet kill switch’ plans
http://dailycaller.com/ 2013/11/13/dhs-has-a-month-to- release-internet-kill-switch- plans/#ixzz2ka6Gqd8z
http://dailycaller.com/
Excerpt: A federal court ruled on Tuesday that the Department of Homeland
Security has 30 days to disclose its plans for an “Internet kill switch,” The Washington Free Beacon reports. In order to prevent
terrorists from using cell phones to remotely detonate bombs, DHS developed
secret protocols, called Standard Operating Procedure 303, to govern how the
agency would direct the shutdown of wireless networks in the event of an
emergency. The Electronic Privacy Information Center (EPIC) has been battling
the agency since July 2012 to release the protocols — considered “Internet kill
switch” — to the public. (What, POTUS make that free Obamaphone useless? What if
they’ve gotten 4 or 5? Useless? There goes the community organizing of all
those flash mobs. --Barb)
Reason in the Age of
the Flail-Ex
Excerpt: I once heard a quote attributed to Aristotle that
says; "The Law is Reason, Free from Passion". While this may be the
theoretical desired handling of legal matters, it is never-the-less apparent
that only a percentage of any given legal and political population actually
practices this. What we have been witnessing is an era in which the sitting
political party has displayed Compassion, Free from Reason. In their effort to
"solve" some of the more troubling issues present in all cultures,
those of our left-listing brothers and sisters have chosen, rather to adopt a
stance known as the "flail-ex".
