This question keeps coming up, but the bulk of what is reported is that it's purely natural, and supposedly came from the Wuhan wet market. Yet clearly more than a few of the original victims never visited the market, and also bats were not sold there. And clearly research was done in various labs, including in the USA, on the possiblities of tuning the structure of viruses like this one. Do we have any way today to know the absolute truth? No, and given how things are in China, we are never going to get the full facts from there about what they did and did not do. Hell, they are still telling people the US Army brought the virus there! Maybe someday more facts will emerge but it won't be any time soon. --Del
