Book
recommendation: All
the Light We Cannot See: A Novel by Anthony Doerr
Bonnie
and I read this terrific novel for our book club. There is good reason that the
website reports: “Winner of
the Pulitzer Prize, a New York Times Book Review Top Ten Book,
National Book Award finalist, more than two and a half years on the New
York Times bestseller list.” This incredibly well-written and nuanced
book will hold your attention. The story alternates between a young German boy,
a whiz with radios, who is drafted into the Wehrmacht, and a blind French girl
whose father works at a museum in Parris. Slowly their stories merge. But there
are a lot of plot twists along the way. I highly recommend it.
