As always you inspire me. It's so nice that you are feeling well enough to send out some interesting and thought provoking material. I find it more difficult each day to not feel exhausted by our politicians and their weakness in standing up to this administration with only empty words. Those that do are isolated and the others try to destroy them. The corruption is maddening. Their ability to get away with crimes you or I would be doing jail time for, is an insult to every American. I often think of Michael and how wise he was. It is probably a blessing he doesn't have to witness the Muslim invasion of Europe (and here) that is going on. Then I realize that God always has a plan. That sometimes the darkness has to be blinding before the light can shine through. I know that good will prevail over evil, but it's going to be one Hell of a battle with very ugly times ahead. Even though I'm scared for what lies ahead, I know Americans fight for freedom. I just may not see the end of the battle during my lifetime. I don't expect you to reply. Holder's Hatchet Job: Another look at the Justice Department's misguided Ferguson
I am really impressed that someone took the time to write this detailed dissection of the DOJ report on Ferguson . There was little doubt in my mind that Mr. Holder sent his people there to go find racist practices, as a foregone conclusion. That they had tried hard to find some way to say the shooting was racist but had been frustrated by the actual evidence (powder burns on Brown's arm from trying to yank away the officer's gun were just too hard to get past) was already known. But the next attempt to make this into a racist mess was to find racist practices in the police department, and in the end they said they had done that. I was skeptical, but hadn't read the report. Now someone has done that for us all, and written things up very carefully and factually. While there is no way to prove no Ferguson cop ever had a racist thought or ever treated someone Black with bias, the actual data do not demonstrate any clear and consistent racist practices. It's not a super short read, but if anyone is interested in understanding how the game was played to support the conclusion that Mr. Holder started off with, examining the article will provide that. Sadly, the data on murder rates do demonstrate that it's tremendously more dangerous to be a young Black man than to be a White man in the Large Fringe Metro Areas of Missouri, and that the great majority of murderers of Blacks are other Blacks. We're back to the awful social problem in the inner city Black communities that has nothing to do with White racism by cops or anyone else. And which the fanning of racial tensions in the nation does absolutely nothing to remedy. --Del
A really superb YouTube video made of course by some fervent Obama supporters, which goes on along the standard narrative about why this deal is great, and the GOP are opposing it out of sheer nastiness, when it will make us all so much safer and avoid the only possible alternative, which is to declare war on Iran . Or maybe there's a guarantee that Iran will formally declare war on us (they've been at sneaky war with us since the day they took over the embassy). It's almost funny to watch, as they make idiots out of themselves while clearly having a great time. Finally the flow of information about all the holes in the Deal that mean it's not worth a damn has penetrated far and wide, and the known history of the Iranians lying, cheating, game playing, and then lying some more, while chanting Death To America every day, has made even the more naive Americans look at this as the pile of steaming BS that it is. When you get down to 21% supporters, you are down to the Far Left, CAIR, and the total disciples of Obama, plus maybe a few of the most naive and utterly innocent people on earth. Not that it makes any difference at all to Obama and the Democrats. It's going to go through, with all the game playing tactics old and new, and Obama will proudly announce this smiling even more widely than Neville Chamberlain did way back when. The only question is whether the brutal truth will come out about this any faster than "Peace in Our Time" was revealed to be a fantasy. Once this is done (if not ongoing already) the Saudis will jump on a program to get their own nukes, followed by at least two or three other nations in the region, and the games will begin. After that, I cannot make any predictions, because everything will become too chaotic and complex for anyone to see how all the dominoes will fall. Why is it when I do it, I’m some delusional pessimistic right-wing nut-job who’s talking down the economy, but when Sanders does it, he’s looking beneath the surface to showcase the hard truths of the modern economy? Sanders continues: Do you know what youth unemployment is in this country? In terms of kids who have no jobs, or are working part-time when they want to work full-time. EPI told us if they were white, youth unemployment is 33 percent! Hispanic youth unemployment is at 36 percent! And if they were African-American, 51 percent (boos, jeers). We are turning our backs on an entire generation of young people who want to stand on their own two feet!
