Huma Abedin: Clinton 's Unindicted Email
Co-Conspirator
Excerpt: The email plot thickens with news that Hillary
Clinton's deputy chief of staff also used a private email account on the Clintons ' server to
conduct government business. Watchdog group Judicial Watch, which doesn't like
being lied to or jerked around any more than the House Benghazi Select
Committee does, has filed a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit against the
Department of State seeking all communications, including emails, between
Secretary of State Clinton and Huma Abedin with Nagla Mahmoud, wife of ousted
Egyptian president Mohammed Morsi between Jan. 21, 2009, and Jan. 21, 2013.
Hillary’s System
Probably Let Obama’s E-Mails Get Hacked. Probably. By Jim Geraghty, Morning Jolt
Let’s review. 1. Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama traded e-mails while she was Secretary of State. 2. The
communications of the U.S. Secretary of State would be an extremely high-value
target for foreign-intelligence services. 3. Hillary’s e-mail system used “obsolete and insecure” protocols
and earned an overall “F” rating for security. We already know about one
mostly mischievous hacker who broke into Hillary’s account in 2013. If he could do it, it
seems like a safe bet that the Russians, Chinese, Iranians, or others could do
it. Conclusion: Because of Hillary Clinton’s decision to use her own server and
e-mail system instead of the official State Department systems, she exposed the
president’s personal e-mails to her and his e-mail address. If that likely
scenario is the case, maybe this explains why President Obama, David Axelrod,
Congressional Democrats, and other liberals aren’t rushing to Hillary Clinton’s aid in this accelerating
scandal. She’s actually fouled things up on a scale so serious and
consequential, not even they can excuse it or forgive it. Remember, the most recent spin from Team Hillary is that this is “all
about nothing.” If the spin isn’t even remotely plausible, it isn’t really a
good lie.
How Many Straws on Hillary’s Back? By Victor Davis Hanson

http://www.nationalreview.com/article/415120/how-many-straws-hillarys-back-victor-davis-hanson
Excerpt: Polls show that right now
Hillary would both win the Democratic nomination and be elected president. But
that likelihood assumes that four considerations will go her way. The first is
that she will not have to run on her record as secretary of state. Instead, she
is betting that her iconic status and her years in Washington as first lady and then as a
senator will trump her four years as Barack Obama’s chief foreign-policy
architect. Her record as secretary was dismal — perhaps the worst since the
tenure of Cyrus Vance under Jimmy Carter.
The Clinton
Foreign Fundraising Machine. By Rich Lowry
Excerpt: Not so long ago, President Barack Obama and the
rest of the Democratic party were obsessed with the possible taint of foreign
money. They saw it everywhere, even where it didn’t exist. They couldn’t stop
talking about it. They practically ran their 2010 midterm campaign against
foreign dollars, especially the phantom threat of secret, illegal donations
funneled through the Chamber of Commerce. They called it, breathlessly,
“stealing our democracy.”
Liberal Writer: New
scandals and reasons to wonder if Hillary is hiding something. By Eugene Robinson
Excerpt: The Hillary Clinton e-mail controversy is a reminder of one
inescapable fact: She comes with baggage. Not the kind that fits in the
overhead bin, either. I’m talking steamer trunks. How could anyone serve four
years as secretary of state with no official e-mail account, instead conducting
business from a private address with its own domain and server? The answer is:
Deliberately. The only reason for Clinton to go through the trouble of setting
up this system — rather than just call the State Department’s version of the IT
help desk — would be to ensure that nobody got to rummage freely through her
communications, personal or official.
NBC Reporter:
Democrats "Knew" About Hillary's Private Emails Months Ago,
"Made Decision Not To Deal With It"
Excerpt: On MSNBC this afternoon prior to Hillary Clinton's
press availability about the controversy swirling around her private email
server, NBC correspondent Kasie Hunt revealed Democrats "knew" about
Clinton's use of a private email when she was Secretary of State. "They
knew this was potentially going to be a problem several months ago and they
made a decision not to deal with it," Hunt said. "They thought, 'You
know what, we're just going to let it go for now. It's not going to potentially
going to be the deal it is turned into being.' And I think a lot of Democrats
are sitting there and saying here is another situation where the Clintons took actions
that are questionable and then responded in a way that comes across as
defensive."
Ya Think? Clinton
says it ‘might have been smarter’ to use State e-mails
Excerpt: Hillary Rodham Clinton acknowledged Tuesday that
she had erred in using only a private e-mail server for work correspondence at
the State Department, saying that she sent about 60,000 e-mails from her
private account during her four-year tenure as secretary of state. Scrambling
to extinguish a growing
controversy over her unconventional use of a private e-mail server
ahead of the expected launch of her 2016 presidential campaign, Clinton said
“there were no security breaches” with her private account. “I did not e-mail
any classified material to anyone on my e-mail,” Clinton said in a rare news conference at the
United Nations. ... “Looking back, it
would have been better for me to use two separate phones and two e-mail
accounts. I thought using one device would be simpler, and obviously, it
hasn’t worked out that way.” (How does she know there were no security
breaches? How does anyone know if only personal emails were deleted? We will
never know. ~Bob)

Cuban Accountability.
By John Lowery
Excerpt: Most Americans are unaware that Cuba was deeply
involved in the Vietnam War. In fact they had an engineering battalion called
the “GirĂ³n Brigade,” that was maintaining Route Nine, a major enemy supply
line into South Vietnam .
Their facilities included a POW camp and field hospital very near the DMZ, just
inside North Vietnam .
Meanwhile Cuban interrogators worked in Hanoi
at a prison known as the Zoo. We know of these operations and some of what
happened to our servicemen after so managed to survive and be repatriated in
the winter of 1973, during Operation Homecoming. Following his release Major
Jack Bomar, a Zoo survivor, described the brutal beating of Captain Earl G.
Cobeil, an F-105F electronics warfare officer, by Cuban Major Fernando Vecino
Alegret, known by the POWs as “Fidel.”
Right-to-Work Laws
Have More Benefits over Unions
Excerpt: Yesterday, Wisconsin
became the 25th right-to-work (RTW) state after adopting laws that prevent
unions from forcing workers to pay dues as a condition for employment. Democrat
legislators argue RTW would lower wages in Wisconsin , yet, right-to-work laws have
little effect on private-sector wages. Besides, right-to-work states have 1.3
percentage point lower unemployment rates than non-right-to-work states. A
recent Gallup
poll finds widespread support for right-to-work. Respondents said they support
RTW by a 71 percent to 22 percent margin. Right-to-work laws can have the
following advantages: Right-to-work laws protect a workers' freedom. In the
absence of RTW, unions force workers to purchase their representation. They
collect dues no matter how well or poorly they represent them. Forced dues also
compel Wisconsin workers to support highly
politicized organizations. RTW ensures workers do not have to give their money
to groups whose agenda they oppose.
Chris Christie’s
inevitable doom — and what that means for his 2016 rivals. By James Downie
Excerpt: Monday’s NBC/Wall Street Journal poll was just the
latest nail in the coffin of Chris
Christie’s 2016 presidential hopes. Fifty-seven percent of Republican
voters said they could not see themselves supporting him in the GOP primary.
The only candidate more disliked was Donald Trump. Between the
dislike of GOP voters and the souring of GOP donors, it has been a long
fall for the New Jersey
governor, once thought by many in the media to be the Republicans’ 2016
front-runner.
You Again? Man Gets

River Store That Got Him
Jailed In 1999
Excerpt: If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again. Except,
of course, when it comes to robbing a store one day after being paroled for
robbing that same store 15 years earlier. Perhaps Christopher Miller has
learned that lesson. He’ll certainly have time to think about it.
Excerpt: I’m beginning to sympathize more and more with the
average man who thinks the system is rigged against him. The current
unemployment rate in California , where I live,
is 6.9 percent, according to California 's
own records. This hovers around a full percentage point higher than the
unemployment rate for the nation as a whole. So you can imagine how the average
unemployed Californian feels when he reads that the state Employment
Development Department in Sacramento has hired
citizens of India to process
Golden State unemployment claims. (Wow, this is
really rich. The irony of foreign workers processing unemployment claims of
Americans is just too much. Only in CA could this happen. I'm laughing about
it, but I bet some people in CA are not. --Del )

Home invaders take note: Republicans
are twice as likely as Democrats to live in a household with a gun. By Philip Bump
Excerpt: Republicans are more than twice as likely as
Democrats to live in a household with a gun, according to data released this
month from the General Social Survey, conducted by NORC at the University of Chicago and analyzed by The Washington
Post. It continues a long-term trend tracked in the biennial survey, in which
the percentage of those who identify as Republicans and live in a household
with a gun has stayed flat, while the percentage of Democratic and independent
gun owners has dropped.
Race Card News
Excerpt: The U.S. Department of Justice issued two reports
last week, both growing out of the Ferguson ,
Missouri shooting of Michael
Brown. The first report, about “the shooting death of Michael Brown by Ferguson , Missouri
police officer Darren Wilson” ought to be read by every American. It says in
plain English what facts have been established by an autopsy on Michael Brown’s
body – by three different pathologists, including one representing the family
of Michael Brown – by DNA examination of officer Darren Wilson’s gun and police
vehicle, by examination of the pattern of blood stains on the street where
Brown died and by a medical report on officer Wilson, from the hospital where
he went for treatment. The bottom line is that all this hard evidence, and
more, show what a complete lie was behind all the stories of Michael Brown
being shot in the back or being shot while raising his hands in surrender. Yet
that lie was repeated, and dramatized in demonstrations and riots from coast to
coast, as well as in the media and even in the halls of Congress. (The hiring
practices of the NFL and the NBA have a disparate impact on whites and Asians.

that prediction from British scientist Hubert Lamb ‘a bit of bad news.’ “‘But

More Evidence Of
Climate Data Tampering By NOAA?
Excerpt: When Dr. Roy Spencer looked up summer temperature
data for the U.S. Corn Belt, it showed no warming trend for over a century. But
that was before temperatures were “adjusted” by National Oceanic and
Atmospheric Administration climate scientists. Now the same data shows a
significant warming trend. Spencer, a climate scientist at the University of Alabama
in Huntsville , said that the National Climatic
Data Center
made large adjustments to past summer temperatures for the U.S. Corn Belt,
lowering past temperatures to make them cooler. Adjusting past temperatures
downward creates a significant warming trend in the data that didn’t exist
before. (Figures don't lie, but liars figure. And Global warming research

Worth Reading : In
fight against ISIS , Obama should look to
Churchill. By George R. Nethercutt Jr.
Excerpt: By its very names — the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) or the alternative Islamic
State of Syria and the Levant (ISIL) — Islam is at the heart of ISIS efforts. Islamic terror subverts traditional Islamic
principles. Reluctant to identify the growing threat by militant terrorists,
who behead and blow up innocents with impunity and without a hint of
conscience, President Obama has been properly criticized for failing to call
Islamic terrorists what they are: Islamic terrorists. Unlike Churchill in World
War II, who opposed the appeasement of Hitler by those who downplayed the
threat he posed, Obama is excessively deferential to today's enemies of
freedom, the growing group of Islamic terrorists who spread their brutality
under the dignified Islamic banner. He can easily articulate the difference
between terrorists and millions of faithful Islamic followers who don't
subscribe to the terrorists' barbaric acts, but his silence is evident of his
fear of offending Muslims in general. His silence also underplays the threat he
is charged with repelling. If Obama dares to utter the words "Islamic
terrorists," no Muslim will be confused by his intentions. Failing to do
so only feeds the president's reputation for unfounded intransigence. Not
recognizing evil when it confronts the world ignores World War II's history. (A
simple comparison between threats at different times, and how to confront them.

Poll: 71% Say Iran Deal Won't
Make a Real Difference in Preventing Bomb. By Carrie Dann
Excerpt: Seventy-one percent of Americans say that the

potential production of a nuclear weapon. About a quarter of respondents - 24
percent - disagree.
Not all Muslim sects
equal
I wonder if you would consider pointing out to the folks
that not all Muslim sects are equally violent and dangerous to the West. all of
the terror groups, such as Taliban, ISIS and al-Qaeda, the ones that behead and
burn people alive for not being Muslim or for belonging to the wrong sect are
SUNNIS, every single one and get much of their funding from SUNNI countries
like Saudi Arabia. And that, while there is a militant SHIITE group, ie,
Hezbollah, this group does not behead people just for being non Muslims or the
wrong sect of Islam. They are politically motivated militants generally trying
to protect their holy Muslim territory (not an excuse, but there is a
significant difference). Iran
is SHIITE and Syria
has a SHIITE government, which protects Christians and minorities. Can we try
for a little more balance? I keep hearing from people that say all Muslims are
exactly the same and that is not true. I understand Israel's fears and they may
be legitimate, but it seems odd to me that Israel is not in the fight against
ISIS, which keeps destroying ancient art treasures and slicing throats of the
kuffar just for being who they -- we -- are. They can target Iran if they want, but if we all just let ISIS
run loose, they will be at Israel 's
doorstep quicker than Rouhani's boys. Best, --Don. (Not sure my brother Marines

From 2008, but interesting: Sunni and Shi ’a
Terrorism: Differences that Matter. By Thomas F. Lynch III
Executive Summary: There are significant and little
appreciated differences in the trajectory of Sunni extremist terrorism and that
of Shi’a extremism. The differences exist across six key areas that impact
American policy considerations, especially in light of steadily escalating
tensions with Iran .
First and foremost, Sunni radicals and Shi’a extremists differ in the overall
approach and main objectives for their use of terror. The former tend to
operate in a continuous, mid‐to‐high intensity manner, seeing
war against infidels and apostates as a perennial condition featuring
overlapping waves. Outside of an ongoing and seemingly open‐ended campaign against Israel ,
terrorist attacks by Shi’a groups have by and large featured discrete terror
campaigns tethered to state and organizational objectives. Second, Sunni
terrorists and Shi’a extremists manifest different patterns for recruiting
terrorist operatives and developing terrorist missions. Shi’a terrorists,
unlike their Sunni counterparts, enjoy direct state support and for that reason
are far more likely to originate from Iranian embassies, consulates and state‐run businesses. Third, despite
holding a minority viewpoint within the wider Sunni Islamic community, Sunni
extremists, especially Salafi‐Jihadis,
rely more extensively on the support of their coreligionist expatriate
communities in facilitating terrorist activities. Fourth, while employing
similar tactics and methods, Shi’a terrorist groups have shown a much greater
propensity to kidnap innocents to barter, while Sunni extremists more
frequently abduct to kill. Fifth, Shi’a terror groups exhibit a much higher
incidence of targeted assassinations for specific political gain, rather than
the high‐casualty killings featured in
Sunni terrorism, and particularly of the Salafi‐Jihadist
variant. Finally, each sect’s extremists manage publicity and propaganda
differently. The Sunni approach to information management tends to feature
doctrine and resources geared to take immediate credit and widely amplify a
terrorist event. Shi’a terrorists, while not averse to normal media publicity
and amplification, by and large take a much lower‐key
approach.
