  1. Your article on I'm tired is right on the money...I'm also tired off attacks on Christians by the media and hollywood elites who push their own religion secular humanism every day and courts that push agendas that liberals can't get passed at the ballot boxes...Again thanks fot speaking the truth keep it up....Lew

  3. Thank you for your comments in ¨Being Tired¨. I couldn´t agree with you more. A few years ago I felt that I was going to leave this world a better place for my children, grandchildren, and more. I am not so sure that is now the case. How could we have gone so wrong in such a short time? And, imagine how long it will take to undo all that has happened in this short time.

    Regards from a new fan.

  4. Amen Brother (both in life and the military) preach on.

I could not find a single word I didn't agree with.

Your article spoke to the way I've felt for a long time.

  7. Your comments in " Being Tired" echo my sentiments. At age 70, which I refuse to commit too, I am blown away by the appathy of the voting public , some being close friends.
An old saying"use it or lose it"could'nt be more true. The idea of {not} being responsible for your own actions , is so pervasive, has so diluted the system we are in for a rough ride ahead.
Even at this age I would take up arms for my Country!

  8. Bob, from your profile it looks like you have been happy to live off the government as a politician. So I think you are a bit of a phony writing for the ignorant. PS please stop using "jarhead" like you are Chesty Puller (Marines will know whom I am talking about) I too served in the USMC from 1977-1980 and like you all I fought was traffic.

  11. I don't even have a mortgage. But I have a lot of good kids and grand kids...which I think could be better than having a mortgage if we all were not "Tired". One of those kids, an accountant, introduced me to this blog site because he too is "tired". We have in this Scots family three generation who have taken the oath to defend the constitution against all enemies foreign and DOMESTIC. How on earth do we do that now?

  12. I must say you have a talent for words, a fear that we are being blind sided again. At least the non-thinkers are being blind sided by the non-hackers they have elected, (using language we Marines are partical to. I spent six years on active duty and another thirty years in Reserve. I was an 08XX got tired of running up hills and became an oxymoron (02XX.) I also get on my soapbox on occasion and enjoyed your thesis. I received it from another Marine (Who transfered to the Army and retired)I live in Washington State and have a friend who works for the Dept of Trans. There are a number of muslims who actively speak out against the United States and they are protected while anyone who opposing them is threatened with dismissal, even those who have many years with the State. My friend was told he could not have an American Flag (and the Marine Corps flag I gave him from a MC Ball) on his desk because the Muslims were insulted. Management actually made him remove them or be fired. Theres some really tough crap going on and our politicians are not doing what the majority of us want or is good for the country. We have one US Senator who is dumber than a rock, thats all I'll say so you will have to guess. The US Reps are pretty bad except for a couple (lucky my district has one of the good ones). You know your picture looks familiar, but all PFC's look alike. I think you look just like me as a PFC in 1956. I retired in 1998 from 1- MEF at CamPen. Three Clinton callups. Lots of broken time too. I am also a writer, something to do. I don't do poetry but respect those who can. Only wrote one called Delphi. I hear it was pretty good so quit while ahead. Like some people who live back there on the East Coast believe, I've got to go out and fight off the Indians. My horse needs shoes so can't chase the cows. (I'm a Team Roper do some rodeo, only time events, rough stock is for kids and dummies)

  13. From a "squid" I'm with you. We are losing this country a little more every day, but really "frosts my tush" is that there seem to be damn few of us who really care! I don't consider myself a racist, or a "smart ass", but just a humble American who works his butt off to 1. provide for my family, 2. make thier life a better lot than my parents or my own, and a 64 year old who would take up the yoke again if my country needed me to protect and uphold our way of life!
Thanks for being you Sarge, anything I can do to help our country all youneed do is ask!

  14. Well Done Marine. I am the same age, Vietnam veteran with my only son in the military. I worked hard, paid my bills, and accept responsibility for my actions. If you decide to run for office as an independent, sign me up as a volunteer. Semper Fi. Alonzo Bruce Earnest, LtCol, USA, (ret)

  15. I agree with everything in your article. I worked hard and feel that I am blessed with my family and friends. I lost everything twice in my life. The government gave me very little help to get back on my feet. I too served in the Marine Corp and two of my sons made careers in the Air Force. God Bless America.

  17. Hi: I'm anticipating our constitution going up in smoke- I loved your thoughts in the "I'm tired" piece. Is it too late to save America? I'm scared!

  18. Thank you very much for expressing it all so well. I feel that Washington is "going to hell in a hand basket" and the D's and the mainstream media have yet to figure it out. They still just "like him." "Down and Down we go..." You said it all. I am an instant fan. And you did it on my 70th Birthday. I was a submariner for 20 years. I have the greatest respect for the Marines. Keep up the good work. God Save Us!

  19. You have said it all!!!! As a former Marine grunt I agree with you about being "tired", but we will never stop fighting to make things right again......Semper Fi

  20. Thanks! After reading '...tired' I find myself not quite as tired...not too tired to give up.

I am also not crazy thinking there are zillions of similiar voices here. How can we focus these voices to be heard -- in this lifetime?

  21. "Tired" is the best thing I've read in awhile!! I'll be 60 in Dec and am a Vietnam Army Infantry veteran, and have been through the same work situation as you were and also never stopped looking for a job--now I have been working for 4 years at another company. Not making great money but working and living within my means!! Maybe one more bumper sticker is needed: "ARE 4 YEARS OVER YET?!?!Keep the words coming, my man!!! (And the Single Malt!!!!)

  22. I'll join your fan club anytime. I'd like to see a new bumper sticker; "I'm Tired Too!". We would probably be amazed at how many would be displayed on cars on their way to WORK! Too bad our Congresssmen would never see them.

  25. There is one simple solution to this problem. When your Senator and Congressman come up for re-election.....vote for the other guy on the ballot. Lets send a message that they are in Washinton to do what we want done and not their own agenda. Lets clean out the halls of Congress.

  26. I salute you sir for the article "I'm tired" and for your service to our country. You voice the sentiments of many right wing conservatives such as myself that are deeply concerned with the direction our country is heading. Keep pushing the Democratic Liberals to see thier mistakes and lets pray our children can dig out of the mountain of garbage we are handing them with the new O'Bama Stimulus Plan.
