Feel free to post or forward.
Turns
out, inflation is the Grinch that stole Christmas.
“In
battle, topography is fate.” ~ Rick Atkinson, An Army at Dawn
How come
violent criminals got out on no cash bail while I read the January 6th
protesters are still locked up two years later?
“Unlike
the brain, the stomach gives an alert when it is empty.” ~ Proverb
Seven
core principles of conservatism
https://mikejohnson.house.gov/7-core-principles-of-conservatism/
“Would
God I die with my sword in my hand, ringed by dead foes all around.” ~ BGen
Teddy Roosevelt Jr., Medal of Honor.
If the
Army had gone woke in 1939, we’d all be National Socialists, speaking German.
Except the Jews, gays, and gypsies, who would all be dead.
“A man’s
rights rest in three boxes: the ballot box, the jury box, and the cartridge
box.” ~ Frederick Douglas
The Democrats
have made terrorists and murders a protected class. You, on the other hand, are
on your own.
“If you
tell the truth, it becomes part of your past. But if you tell a lie, it becomes
part of your future.” ~ MeWe.com
When I
was a kid, mail came twice a day to my grandmother’s suburban house, and stamps
were three cents.
“Medical
science has made such tremendous progress that there is hardly a healthy human
left. “ ~ Aldous Huxley
“Man
does what he can, and bears what he must.” ~ FDR
“Only
indebtedness breeds contempt faster than familiarity.” ~ Rick Atkinson, An
Army at Dawn
Democrats:
The Handmaidens of Chaos.
The
media, including social media, remind me of the Red Queen’s justice system:
Sentence First, Verdict Afterwards.
"The mild
voice of reason, pleading the cause of an enlarged and permanent interest, is
but too often drowned, before public bodies as well as individuals, by the
clamors of an impatient avidity for immediate and immoderate gain." ~ James
Madison
The country we
knew is gone. The cancer started in the 1960s. We can only fight to preserve
remnants of it for our grandchildren. I fear they will live in slavery.
“Everything
free... In Holland, the government is required to pay for a hooker 12
times a year for the disabled.” ~ Tom K
“Some people are
like rocking horses. They move a lot without getting anywhere.” ~ Anon.
I see
Greenpeace, probably the leading environazi group, now says that it’s a waste
to recycle plastic. Over 80% goes into landfills anyway. Takes more energy to
recycle the rest than it’s worth. Surprise, surprise. I’m old enough to
remember when stores started using plastic bags instead of paper because the
“environmentalists” said it would save the trees. I still predict that in 20
years the windmills will be rusting hulks. They use more energy to make than
they generate and when no longer subsidized by taxpayers, will fail. The iron
laws of economics make no exceptions for your feelings.
“We are only specks
of dust that have landed at night on the map of the world.” ~ Churchill
Those why deny
the holocaust might peruse the record the Nazis kept of their crimes. I recommend
reading The Guns at Last Light which discusses the tens of thousands of
allied personnel from Ike to privates who bore witness to the camps.
“Discipline is
choosing between what you want now and what you want most.” ~ Lincoln
“The kind of man
who wants the government to adopt and enforce his ideas is always the kind of
man whose ideas are idiotic.” ~ H. L. Mencken
If you have to
say, “I don’t care who you are, this is funny,” it’s probably not.
Genital
mutilation: No longer just in Muslim countries. No longer just for girls.
“Doing well is a
conservative idea. Meaning well is a liberal idea.” ~ Dennis Prager
MAID is coming
here from Canada.
"Nothing
helps a bad mood like spreading it around." ~ Bill Watterson
“To promise not
to do a thing is the surest way in the world to make a body want to go and do
that very thing.” ~ Mark Twain
Unfortunately,
hate is easier than love.
People say, “God
will provide.” I think he provided me with hands and a brain and expects me to
do my part.
The people who
lost their life savings in FTX must be gratified to know it helped people like
John Fetterman get elected.
Unless the wolf
rises in American hearts, our grandchildren will be slaves.

elixir of life for the weak.” ~ Fridolin von Sanger und Etteerlin, General der

the Weimar Republic.
“Make yourselves
sheep and the wolves will eat you.” ~ Ben Franklin
This generation
is heavy on selfies and low on self-knowledge.
Scientists,
politicians, reporters, journalists, judges, writers – many can be bought. Not
always for money. Often for sex or fame.
“A good dog can
take your mind off your troubles.” ~ Field Marshal Erwin Rommel

cost of energy, if you got coal for Christmas, you are lucky.

more easily than those who say they have an “open mind.”
“Unless the
people, through unified action, arise and take charge of their government, they
will find that their government has taken charge of them. Independence and
liberty will be gone, and the general public will find itself in a condition of
servitude to an aggregation of organized and selfish interest., “ ~ Calvin
Coolidge
