Marine Rifleman: Forty-Three Years in the Corps by Wesley
L. Fox
I interviewed a Marine vet for the VA’s My
Life, My Story project who serve under Fox in the Sixth Marines. He
recommended this well-written excellent autobiography. Fox served as an
enlisted combat Marine in Korea and as an officer in Vietnam, where he earned
the Medal of Honor. In war or Peace, Wes Fox was a Marine’s Marine. The book is
not only a memoir, but a collection of leadership lessons that the motivated individual
can apply throughout life. I Highly recommend it.
