Walter Williams: College Destruction of Black Students
Williams is a noted black economist. ~Bob In the PC world of academia, the truth will get you free of your job, or at least part of it, as happened to Dr. Amy Wax below. The discussion by Walter Williams would of course be instantly attacked as blatant racism, but since he happens to be Black, will get totally ignored by many, and just get him disparaged as an Uncle Tom by some. Facts and logic don't matter when it comes to PC tenets, and one of those tenets is that affirmative action in any form is a good thing with no downsides at all. The question of why Black kids in so many areas end up with K12 education ranging from poor to terrible is not really going to get explored objectively. That it's not totally due to some kind of deliberate racism, some nefarious scheme to deliver poor teaching to "keep those people down", that maybe there are other factors involved, those ideas are not tolerable to the PC people and the preachers of victimization. In a real sense, far too many young Blacks are victims, but not because of systemic racism. They come from city school systems where the mayors, council members, school superintendents, congresspeople, and many of the teachers are Black. How can it be racism that causes poor education there? Why is it so hard to acknowledge that we have social problems that are far more of the situation than racism? If we cannot recognize the real source of problems, we cannot make progress in solving them. --Del
