Random Thoughts for December, 2022
Robert A. Hall
Feel free to post or forward.
Health Update: Still stable, for which I am grateful
to God. Had a renal appointment 11/320, all good.
November went from 60s and sunny the first few days
to 20s and snowy by the 17th.
I have four Marine buddies in my age group battling
serious diseases. It makes me grateful that my health is currently stable. Say
a prayer for them.
Marines joke about the New Corps and the Old Corps.
Now, alas, any Marine who served before 2021 can truly say, “I was in the old
Corps!”
Trumps endorsement was powerful in the GOP
primaries. Not so much in the general election. If the Republicans nominate
Trump in 2024, the left will win.
In the midterms, the voters preferred inflation,
crime, open borders, and a disastrous foreign policy to a party tainted by
Trump.
In 2010 I published the below linked book. Some
people on Amazon have said I was wrong as there has been no collapse. I wish
they were right, but everything I talked about is a lot worse now. The recent
election probably locks in “wokeness” until the country falls.

you can do to prevent it $12.99/$.99
If it was BLM that attacked Paul Pelosi, the media
would have ignored it.
Fetterman for Senate Majority leader.
“Wise men speak because they have something to say;
fools because they have to say something.” ~ Plato
The same people who called me a baby killer when I
came home from Vietnam, campaigned for the right to kill babies.
“Sweat saves blood, blood saves lives, and brains
save both.” ~ Rommel
“Imagine a
species so intelligent it destroys itself. Thankfully, that’s the solution to
saving the planet.” ~ Andy Weddington
“Wisdom has been chasing you, but you’ve always been
faster.” ~ MeWe.com
“It is the duty
of every man, so far as his ability extends, to detect and expose delusion and
error.” ~ Tomas Paine.
My pick for the
most hateful words in the English language: Please hold.
Say this for Trump:
He stopped the Red Wave on November 8.
“It is difficult
to free fools from the chains they revere.” ~ Voltaire
“How come
pumping oil from inside the Earth is bad for the environment, but digging up
lithium and cobalt by creating massive mines 20 times the size of oil wells by
using machines that run on fossil fuel energy isn’t?” ~ From MeWe.com
Winter is a high
price to pay for an extra hour of sleep in November.
Transgenders
always transition from female to male. Or male to female. Why not to any of the
other 59 genders?
We are fighting
a rear-guard action now to make America last as long as possible for the good
people. I think restoring America is an insuperable problem.
I think we
should return to all paper ballots, vote only on election day, and a state that
doesn’t complete its count in 24 hours forfeits 25% of its federal funds. More
for each day later.
“If you’re like me, you’ve felt
like you didn’t really understand what the heck cryptocurrency was and didn’t
bother investing in it. Well, our inability to understand these things really
paid off in this case.” ~ Jim Geraghty (I have always avoided
crypto-currency. ~Bob)
“This administration persistently
regards the Rule of Law as a glitch.” ~ National Review
“If (Trump) runs and loses, the USA would be
gone, since that would empower the Left beyond any
redemption.” ~ Del
“Each time
history repeats itself, the price goes up.” ~ Ronald Wright
How come you can
get gender reassignment surgery at 13 without a parent’s consent, but you have
to be 18 to get a tattoo.
"It is the
duty of all Nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey his
will, to be grateful for his benefits, and humbly to implore his protection and
favors." ~ George Washington (1789)
“Nothing is
easier, or more emotionally satisfying, than blaming high prices on those who
charge them, rather than on those who caused them.” ~ Thomas Sowell, PhD
If your singing
isn’t good enough to hold an audience, you can always shuck and jive to
entertain them.
“Life’s
complicated, and pundits who see the world as a video game of good and evil are
quick to make fools of themselves.” ~ Nellie
Bowles
“Honesty is a very expensive gift. Don’t expect it from cheap people.” ~
MeWe.com
“Already in adolescence and early youth, you must
learn basic principles about work, see it as a way to fulfill yourself and, if
possible, set aside a percentage of what you earn for savings. The
most common is, when you receive your first salary is that you go out and buy
some good that you want or that you dreamed of for some time, and then the rest
of the month you wait for the next salary to arrive. The first steps in your working life can have ups and
downs and you can even have an emotional wear, until you manage to understand
the mechanism to which you are inserting yourself.” ~ Valdemiro Macedo
Everybody’s a terrorist except
thee and me. And the FBI should be watching thee.
If you pray for someone to die, left
or right, you’re an evil person. If there are people who need killing to
protect your family or country, do it yourself. Don’t ask God.
“The people who say Black Lives
Matter want to abort black lives.” ~ MeWe.com
“Free markets allow people to
find what they are looking for. “ ~ National Review
“Illegal immigration is wrong,
plain and simple.” ~ Chuck Schumer, 2009
If you think dead people shouldn’t
vote, Democrats will call you “ableist.” If you think men can’t have babies, they
will call you “transphobic.” And if you think college admissions should be
based on merit, they will call you racist.
“He who does not work, shall not
eat.” ~ Lenin
“Cruelty, under the guise of caring, is
the hallmark of the left today.” ~ George
Note from a
dental technician who bought two of my quote books: “My dad and whole family
will greatly enjoy these as they resonate with everything we value & hold
dear. What a gift you have & what a sacrifice of time.” ~ Emily
Email from a guy in NC: “I bought four copies of your
Quotes. I gave three to friends and one is on my desk. GREAT WORK !”
– Kirk.
He followed up that he bought a two
more books for other friends! He
also wrote a very positive review on Amazon.
