Tennessee puts violent protesters on notice with new law that significantly increases criminal punishments
Good for them, I wish every state would do this, but of course zero chance of that in any run by Democrats. The ACLU comment at the end cracks me up, putting higher penalties on criminal behavior will "chill free speech", really? Nothing in the legislation says people can't protest peacefully, you know, without doing property damage or attacking police and others. Apparently that's just too restrictive, and they don't want people to lose their voting rights for a felony conviction. Simple answer- don't commit the felony, but again, that's too complicated and demanding for some. --Del
