NPR ran an interview about the My Life, My Story project.
They interviewed my boss, Thor, my surgeon, Dr. Jim Maloney, and me. We have
been inundated with email. People wanting to volunteer, or paid positions, or
to start programs at their VA or civilian hospital. People wanting us to
interview a veteran relative. It is a great piece, but created a ton more admin
work for Thor. The program started in the Madison VA in 2013, is not underway
in 30 some VA with 40 some more interested. I hope we have the resources,
including time, to effectively manage the growth!
