Students of the Colorado STEM school shooting stormed out of an "interfaith vigil," saying their trauma was being politicized.
Yep, the antigun people could not wait to start up their schtick right on top of memorial services for the victims in Colorado of the insane teen shooters, and they blew it big time. An event was organized by the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence. Sen. Michael Bennet and Rep. Jason Crow, both Democrats, both spoke at length about the need for federal action. The Brady Campaign invited reporters to cover the event. But the kids were there to mourn their classmates and to honor the one in particular who fought back to save others. Once the antigun stuff started, they stood up, turned their backs, and walked out, yelling out that the occasion was not supposed to be about politics and they rejected the whole manipulation of the event for the purposes of the antigun activists. Good for them, it's taken a while for people, including kids, to get to the point where they are saturated with the unending river of political activist crap trying to take over every single moment possible. There may yet be hope for the nation to stop tolerating the PC push and insist on sensible, rational approaches to things. --Del
