The story of the "Six Seconds" has been around for some of us for years. It's a classic story of men faithful unto death in their duty to others. We do not sign up to die, we sign up to be Marines, and live up to the ideals of the Corps, and do our duty, whatever the cost. Some of us make the ultimate sacrifice, some of us make other sacrifices, some of us are lucky. Perhaps all of us are lucky, to have been part of the band of brothers, and to survive and return to lead our lives, carrying the experience and knowledge that enriches us in ways others are hard put to understand.
