The owner of this airplane is based in Chico California which is next to the camp fire that has destroyed thousands of homes and more than a thousand people are still missing. The airplane is a AirTractor 802 designed for fire fighting, this is the man’s business. There are 8 of these planes based at Chico Airport where his business is based. He contracts fire fighting in many other states. He notified Cal Fire as soon as the fire started and told them he had 4 airplanes ready to go and could use the water from Orville dam and stop the fire. He was turned down because his airplanes are single engine which is not allowed in California. Only in California. I hope this gets out to the public.
