Drowning in debt, Connecticut faces budget crunch
My old home state, standing out from the crowd...... but not in a good way. Decades of mismanagement of the state in several ways have driven out industry and taxpayers, while giving in to union demands for wonderful retirements, and building up massive debt as the infrastructure deteriorates. It's amazing how long you can get away with being realy stupid and irresponsible, but eventually reality does catch up with you. And now it's happening. They've dug this hole pretty deep over many years, I really wonder how they can even start to climb out of it. (And yes, the governor made them a "sanctuary state".) --Del
