Here’s my proposal for bi-partisanship. We take James W. von Brunn, the White Supremacist who shot and killed Stephen T. Johns, a black guard at the Holocaust museum, Scott P. Roeder, the anti-abortion zealot who shot and killed Dr. George Tiller, the late-term abortion doctor, in Tiller’s church, and Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad, the Black Muslim who shot and killed Pvt. William A. Long, an Army recruiter in Little Rock, Arkansas.
We form a firing squad made up of liberals and conservatives. (Yes, it might require some instruction in what the military still calls “musketry.”) We stand them up against a wall, together, and we shoot all three.
All in favor, signify by saying “aye.” The ayes have it. I claim a right to serve.
Please don’t tell me that “violence solves nothing.” Tell it to the millions of people in Europe and Asia liberated from murderous regimes by pretty intense violence from American and allied forces in WWII, right down to the survivors of the death camps who survived because our forces were violent enough to overcome the Nazis. Yes, the death camps denied by thousands of right-wing wackos like van Brunn and by tens of millions of Muslim wackos like Muhammad. Those death camps.
Or tell it to the people at the Holocaust Museum who survived because the other guards didn’t try to talk with von Brunn (with or without “preconditions”). They shot him. Violence solved that problem.
I firmly believe I could happily shoot all three of these scumbags and sleep like a baby that night. After the party.
And I have a rather long list of other people I’d be happy to shoot, from all members of Al Qaeda, Hamas and Hezbollah to the black and Hispanic gangbangers who daily kill black and Hispanic kids in Chicago and other cities, but who cry “racism” if the cops are lucky enough to arrest them.
I suppose these opinions mean I won’t be invited to the next “Brie and Chablis Soirée” given by the Obamas and the Ayers in Hyde Park. But that’s okay. I’m more of a “brats and beer at the VFW” kind of guy anyway.

I totally agree with you Bob, I guess with my new "extremist" tag compliments of the new DHS Secretary, I'd be more then happy to volunteer for that detail, but I think you're idea would be short on volunteers.
ReplyDeleteSee as I have noticed from the past, seems like there is only one group that always steps to the plate when their country needs them, while the other always tries to undermine that group that steps up. In other words your detail of volunteers might be a bit one sided, but as always, we will step to the plate to do the right thing.
You can count on me Bob, I will always show, as with my fellow veterans, I have a feeling you'll be at the head of a group.
For the sake of the others, being a patriot isn't a website or a campaign slogan or even a bumper sticker, it's a way of life that is handed down from generation to generation, it's a way of conduct that doesn't change with the climate or the new waves of society, it's just that way of life that has been handed down, it won't die, it will merely fade away into history only to be replaced by the same.
Tell me when and where…
Wait a minute, Jarhead. What about us un-affiliated non-partisans? I could learn some musketry too (I've always been a good student). Let's have a tri-partisan firing squad for the three scumbags you specified.
ReplyDeleteFor a long time I've felt the world has a shortage of bastard shooters. Whenever I read or hear the news from places like Zimbabwe, North Korea, Venezuela, or Iran, the thought goes through my head that "somebody ought to shoot that bastard!".

ReplyDeleteThe reason I ask is that by taking one path, you're letting the media provide all the evidence and discovery and with the other path, you've chosen to ignore the law of the land.
Which path do you feel comfortable enough with to sleep like a baby afterward?

ReplyDeleteSpeaking for myself, I would hope that a wise white male with the richness of his experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion than an anonymous poser who hasn’t lived that life.
