Colleges struggle over defending or curbing free speech
Excerpt: Two colleges whose administrators caved in to extremist students have suffered seriously declining enrollments and lowered alumni contributions. This is a natural response from decent people who decide that they or their kids don't want to go where extremists can dominate what goes on. Sadly, we're not seeing that at Berkeley, since there are plenty of people who are just fine with their kids going to someplace where the administration is already in tune with extremist views. Although I wonder how many employers will look at a degree from Berkeley and wonder about the graduate from there and whether they will fit into a normal company structure. I sure would. --Del)
