A Media-Fueled Social Panic Over Unmarked Graves

It's a long article below, which you are welcome to read, but here is the executive summary.

Some people were using some neat technology, ground penetrating radar (GPR) on the grounds of a former government school for Native Canadians.  GPR doesn't give you X-ray images, it just plots irregularities in density of the strata below.  Which means if there was a ditch there or some hard packed regions or any of many things it will show that in a trace signal.  And they found lots of irregularities across the grounds in various places at various depths.  Nobody dug up anything to find what might be there.

And then the local tribe's leaders stated they thought these irregularities were the unmarked graves of children who had died while at the school in times past.  The rationale for this claim was never explained.

This took off in the media faster than any hypersonic missile, and grew and grew, and got picked up by the NYTimes, which wrote a series of articles stating as facts that many graves of children had been "unearthed" and in fact there was a "mass grave" too.  Everyone went totally nuts about this, the hugest shame in Canadian history, and PM Trudeau jumped all over it.  Did a lovely photo op placing a teddy bear at a supposed "gravesite".

This went on and on and on, all kinds of weeping, wailing gnashing of teeth.  However after many months had passed and no one had dug up so much as a baby tooth, finally people started asking "where's the beef?".  Which got them in trouble, of course, you are not allowed to question the program!

The article below goes into super detail on all this.  Bottom line, the work "irresponsible" does not even begin to cover this horror show of instant assumption of atrocities by those damn White people and the orgy of self condemnation and agonizing guilt that follows.  This is how perverted the media have become and how sick society is.  Will anyone learn the lessons this teaches?

And people wonder that faith in the media is so low?  Really?

A Media-Fueled Social Panic Over Unmarked Graves

Not a single body has been unearthed. But Canadians wouldn’t know it from the false information reported in The New York Times.

Hunter

The more one learns about this, the more horrible and scary it is that top US law enforcement and intelligence agencies essentially buried the truth about Hunter and his antics and all the solid information on his laptop that reveals how corrupt and crazy this man is.

BTW, what puzzles me is that there is ample evidence of him having received many millions of dollars through all his games with foreigners and their companies.  So why is this guy now broke and selling lousy paintings to support himself?  How in hell did he use up all the money?  I wonder if anyone knows.

A Stain Erased

A Stain Erased from National Review

At last. It has taken 49 years and five months, but the Supreme Court has finally reversed the monstrous injustice it worked in 1973. In Roe v. Wade, seven justices cast aside the laws of every state protecting unborn children from the violence of abortion, even though nothing in the text, original understanding, or history of the Constitution authorized them to do so. It was an act of “raw judicial power,” as a Democratic justice wrote in dissent, and even law professors who approved the abortion license Roe created assailed the decision for lacking any constitutional base.

Decades of work, the efforts of tens of millions of Americans, and persistence through many disappointments were necessary to bring us to this day of correction. Overturning Roe does not guarantee justice for the unborn: Pro-lifers know the work must continue. What the Court has done is give pro-lifers the chance to make their case and prevail in democratic fora. Our fundamental law will no longer effectively treat unborn children as categorically excluded from the most basic protection that law can provide. It is a mighty step forward for the rule of law, self-government, and justice.

Our fellow citizens who reject the right to life for all human beings, tragically misguided as they are, have the right to protest against the Supreme Court’s decision. They have no right to threaten, intimidate, vandalize, or commit acts of violence. One of the worst causes in American history — the defense of a judicially imposed regime of abortion-on-demand — appears likely to end in further disgrace. The Biden administration will be derelict in its duties if it fails to keep the peace.

The pro-life goal has been to make sure that unborn children are protected in law and welcomed in life. Our tactics in advancing that goal will have to adapt to the happy new circumstances. In legislatures in strongly pro-life areas, that should mean new laws that prohibit doctors from committing elective abortions and carry penalties sufficient to make that protection effective. In other places, it should mean as much protection as the political balance of forces will allow — and a commitment to do the work of persuasion needed to tilt that balance further toward justice. Everywhere, it should mean private and public efforts to support women bringing life into the world.

The Supreme Court’s cruel decision in 1973 has been complicit in the killing of scores of millions of innocents. It has warped our law, our politics, our medicine, coarsened our social fabric, hardened our hearts. Let us rejoice that this sad episode in our nation’s history has ended, and work to extend the blessings of life.

The Coming Collapse of the American Republic

And what you can do to prevent it

The Coming Collapse of the American Republic draws together extensively-researched details about four threats which are combining to destroy the future for our grandchildren: 1. The incomprehensible debt and unfunded financial liabilities of all levels of government; 2. The threat of uncontrolled, illegal immigration to our economy and culture; 3. The asymmetric war imposed on us by Islamic Jihadists; and, 4. The rise of China as a competitive military and economic power determined to dominate Asia. Taken together, these desperate trends put the survival of America as a united, free and prosperous country in great jeopardy. This short volume lays out the reinforcing nature of these converging disasters, details the existential threat they pose to American liberty, society and culture, and tells us not only how we got in this trap, but what the horror of a collapse will look like. And it offers a long, difficult and rocky path to preserve the country we have known and loved for future generations. All author’s royalties from this book are donated to the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund to help wounded veterans. It has done relatively well for them.

The Hand of the Prophet: A Novel of Islamic America, 2053

By the year 2053, large parts of the United States have fallen under the rule of fanatical, home-grown Sunni Muslims, who have established the Islamic Republic of America, an Islamic theocracy under Shari’a religious law. Dhimmis (Christians and the few remaining Jews) are a minority. California is a separate Shi’a country. Several Western states form the Mormon Republic, while some southern states make up the Christian Confederacy, both holding out against the Islamic conquest. The rest of what was the United States is part of the Islamic Republic of America. The novel is set on the dairy farm of a Muslim family, and in the fictional town of Tinch MillsWisconsin, where a low-grade guerrilla war is disrupting life. The Lutheran Resistance, known as bandits or Crusaders by the Islamic government and local Muslims, is attempting to overthrow Islamic rule and Shari’a law. Technology and the infrastructure have regressed due to the fighting, the ravages of the war that established the Islamic Republic, including the destruction of WashingtonDC by a “dirty bomb,” and the backwardness of a strict Islamic society. Gasoline is rationed and expensive, electricity not always available, and times hard. Transportation is often by horse. Child marriages are common and a form of slavery, called “bonding,” is a feature of local society, both based on the “perfect example” of the Prophet Muhammad, who married his youngest wife at age six, held slaves and revealed that Allah made sex with slave girls lawful for Believers. Women are, as required by Shari’a, very much second class citizens, and homosexuality, adultery and apostasy are capital crimes. Now, the Christians are the terrorists. All author’s royalties from this book are donated to a charity to help wounded veterans.

Old Jarhead Poems:

All author’s royalties from this book will be donated to the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund to help wounded veterans. Robert A. Hall is a Marine Vietnam veteran, a former five-term member of the Massachusetts state senate and, since 1982 a successful non-profit executive. He has been widely published on political and management topics, plus a sprinkling of short fiction and poetry.

Update: Old Jarhead Poems was awarded the 2012 Marine Corps Heritage Foundation's Robert A. Gannon writing award for poetry.

Share the Cup: Poetry of Love and Life

All author royalties are donated to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation. (The PFF gets a larger royalty when you order direct from CreateSpace.) Cover blurb: Share the Cup is a collection of traditional, structured poetry, including many in the sonnet form, written over a period of almost 50 years. A companion book, Old Jarhead Poems: The Heart of a Marine was published in 2011 and was awarded the 2012 Marine Corps Heritage Foundation’s Robert A. Gannon writing award for poetry. Robert A. Hall is a Marine Vietnam veteran, a former five-term member of the Massachusetts State Senate and, since 1982 a successful non-profit executive. He has been widely published on political and management topics, plus a sprinkling of short fiction and poetry. This is his seventh book. In 2006, he was diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis, an eventually-terminal lung disease that kills as many people each year as breast cancer, which now requires him to use oxygen. However, at the time of publication, he was still working full time.

CYA: Protecting Yourself in the Modern Jungle
This book was recently reissued at a lower price, with all royalties going to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation. Cover blurb: CYA is “Advice with an attitude.” Hall's flip, humorous style will amuse you, but while you are being entertained, you are likely to pick up several tips on protecting your person, home, career, family and reputation which will save you a lot of future grief. Pithy and easy to read, this short book will make a great gift for people you care about who need to do a little more CYA in their own lives. The advice will help them long after the laughter fades.

Chaos for Breakfast:
Practical Help and Humor for Non-Profit Executives

Chaos for Breakfast: Practical Help and Humor for Non-Profit Executives is a collection of my association management articles, and, thus, will be of interest only to those who manage non-profits. It’s $24.95 or five bucks less if you are a member. It may no longer be available in print, only as an e-book.

The blurb, which they wrote, says: How to Know When It's Time Go. Murphy's Laws for Associations. Must There Be Metrics? How to Wreck Your Association in Only One Year. 10 Rules for the Care and Feeding of Volunteers. From tongue-in-cheek musings to straight-ahead advice, it's all here in this collection from an exec who has been there, done that, and earned his stripes. Go ahead. Have a little humor with your breakfast. Quantity discounts are available for this ideal gift for staff, board members, and volunteer leaders. This book is also available as an e-book.

It’s actually sold fairly well, and it pays good royalties, with 50% going to The Center for Association Leadership, 50% to the Orthopaedic Research and Educational Foundation, and the rest to me. Which is why I didn’t write a math book.

The Good Bits:
The Marines, The Massachusetts Senate and
Managing Associations.

My first book was The Good Bits: The Marines, The Massachusetts Senate and Managing Associations. It’s a collection of short stories from my life, which I put together so my granddaughter, Britnye would have them, published by a print-on-demand publisher for $14.99. I have about reached the break even point, so all royalties will now be donated to the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund (It brought in $22 in 2011.) I think it will be boring unless you are a member of my family or know me well, in which case it will be really boring.

Note that it's on Amazon, which charges even more than the publisher.

*****

Well, I have to go write to the publisher of that matchbook cover and see if I can get my money back on their You can be a Famous Writer course.

Oh, and, no, they don’t give me free copies to give away any of these. I have to buy any copies I use for promotion. Sorry.

Book Recommendation: Irish Above All

Irish Above All by Mary Pat Kelly

https://smile.amazon.com/Irish-Above-All-Novel-Blood/dp/0765380897/ref=sr_1_1?crid=1Z0FM1Z3TKHFH&keywords=irish+above+all+by+mary+pat+kelly&qid=1658275052&sprefix=Irish+Above+All%2Caps%2C113&sr=8-1

This is the last novel in her Irish Blood trilogy, which started with “Galway Bay.” It’s a fascinating story of Chicago politics in WWII. Kelly carries over her characters from “Of Irish Blood,” and great characters they are. The protagonist, Nora Kelly, home from Paris, becomes a photographer. Ed Kelly becomes mayor of Chicago (there really was a Mayor Ed Kelly). The only historical flaw I noted was Kelly has workers putting rivets into B-52s which didn’t fly until the mid-1950s—and are still in use! I highly recommend this novel, but suggest you start with “Galway Bay.” You won’t be disappointed.

Book recommendation

Of Irish Blood by Mary Pat  Kelly.

https://smile.amazon.com/Irish-Blood-Mary-Pat-Kelly/dp/125020349X/ref=sr_1_2?crid=129JN5UO79PRC&keywords=of+irish+blood+mary+pat+kelly&qid=1656887487&s=books&sprefix=Of+Irish+blood%2Cstripbooks%2C86&sr=1-2

I enjoyed this sequel to “Galway Bay,” as much as I enjoyed the first novel. Kelly does great history. This novel covers WWI, the 916 Irish Rising, the Anglo-Irish war, and the Irish Civil War. Her protagonist is named for her grandmother, Honora Kelly, the leading character in “Galway Bay.” But the two novels can stand alone. Both are excellent. It is rich in real famous people, writers, poets, painters, designers, and Irish revolutionaries. I highly recommend it.
