A Sensible Climate Change Solution, Borrowed From Sweden

A Sensible Climate Change Solution, Borrowed From Sweden
I'm one of those who do not believe that human generation of CO2 has actually tipped the balance of the planet's weather, but no need to go into that here again. However, it IS the smart thing to do to get into more nuclear power, in particular the fourth generation technology of thorium plants. What would be really smart is to have a plant designed and built and fine tuned, troubleshot to smooth and safe running, and then use that design as a template for other plants. This would make permitting and construction a lot easier, cheaper, and faster. But misguided and in some cases woefully ignorant people are beserk about any nuclear plants, they scream "Three Mile Island" (where actually all the safeguards worked and nothing bad happened at all) and "Chernobyl" which was a primitive Russian design and very badly handled and is about as related to today's designs as a Model T to a current Porshe. We can only hope that at some point some adults get into office and sanity starts to appear in governments. --Del
