Another Religious Test in the Senate. Two Democrats suggest a judicial nominee must quit a Catholic organization.

Another Religious Test in the Senate. Two Democrats suggest a judicial nominee must quit a Catholic organization.
Every time I think we've seen the limits of nasty extremism in politics, sure enough, I get surprised again. I guess it's time to accept that for some people now there simply are no limits at all. But acting out with extremism is not the best way to gather support in the long run. Anyone with religious beliefs understands that bias against one religion goes downhill fast into bias against any others the power elite decide they don't like. The conflict between those who are against abortion because they believe it harms a living being and those who do not see it that way at all is not really resolvable. But those who approve abortion are not all heartless, selfish murderers and those against it are not all primitives wanting to deny women some intrinsic right. Demonizing pro-life people is one more underhanded and unfair tactic that must be called out. --Del
