Legal Win For Marine Who Used Classified Information In An Email Warning
This is what goes on when the paperpushers get upset with someone for stepping outside the lines they think are important. Yeah, he did break the rule by send a classified document through an e-mail back to Marines in Afghanistan, since he was concerned about a danger to them. And sadly, he was right, not that anyone in the upper ranks or the JAG office cares about that. He dared to tell a congressman about it too, and that really did it, nobody likes a whistleblower, do they? So the answer is to throw a good officer out of the Corps as a lesson to everyone else? Sure, that's a super idea. Thank heavens for this judge, and let's hope the next hearing goes a whole lot better for the major and for the honor of the Corps. --Del
