Phobe

I asked a Pshrink friend of mine - code name Merkava - for a word to describe those who label those with reasonable and realistic concerns about dangerous things as ---phobes, and the concern itself as phobia. It's clever, in a way, in that they get to call those with reasonable concerns both cowards and lunatics with a single word (that they probably don't understand, anyway).
Our words for the day are "Veritaphobe" and "Veritaphobia" to describe those with a deep seated fear of the truth and the phenom of having a deep seated fear of the truth.
Veritaphobe; veritaphobia. Spread the words to the ends of the Earth. --Tom Kratman, author of military science fiction
