Tomorrow, August 16, 2016 marks 52 years since I left for Marine
Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, SC to meet these guys.
They taught me to take responsibility for my actions and
that I could be a competent adult who could accomplish things. Best of all they
gave me self-discipline and tenacity. Due to that, I have had a very successful
and happy life. I know Sgt. Owens left this life in December of 2013. I have
never found any information on Sgt. Martin or Sgt Harris, my Senior DI.
Nevertheless, I ask God to bless and protect them every day.
